great for small item location in grass or dirt

to look for small items lost in grass or dirt, such as nuts or screws from weedeater or lawn mowers

It's cheap, inexpensive, and a bargain....

I didn't want to invest a lot of money on this. I'm not a hobbyist. I bought it to find discarded nails that keep cropping up in my back yard. So far it works really well. It seems to be pretty accurate. It's performing the job that I bought it for, finding nails. It also found a buried aluminum beer can that gave off a different pitch than the iron. If you're just curious and looking to get into metal detecting, this would be good for that. Just know it IS cheap. Light gauge plastic and metal for all the parts, but then look at that price tag.... The arm extension is okay, but a strap might help keep it against the arm. It's also adjustable in overall length and the length of the arm extension to accommodate different sizes and that's nice.

Easy, works well, fun

This was super easy to assemble, it took about 5 minutes to put together. It's lightweight, and somewhat adjustable too. Comfortable and easy to use. Good for both adults and children. This is my first ever metal detector. I've tested it around my neighborhood and I'm having fun with it already! So far I have found some interesting little trinkets and a (somewhat rusty) hand trowel that I now use in my garden. Of course finding good things takes some persistence and it helps if you know where to look. That said, this is affordable and convenient and I would strongly recommend it to any casual or first-time users!

This is a good starter metal detector.

I never used metal detector before, that is why I did not want to buy an expensive one. So, I made the right decision. It is light weight enough and it could be hold without fatigue. I haven't find anything valuable yet, but it is funny to play with it. This is a good starter metal detector.

I thought that I would buy myself a present so I always wanted a metal detector and now I have a great one. I had my grandson help me put it together and then we went hunting. Kept it local for my first hunt and I found a 1958 penny that was 8+ inches below. I am planning to go on a larger hunt to explore a local wooded area soon.
