Great camera

I recently bought the Netvue Orb camera based on recommendation from my friend who also had it. The camera is amazing! The picture quality is excellent, the camera rotates for a full view and I can even talk into the camera and listen for any sounds. Another brand I tried before was not as clear in picture quality, and the audio was terrible. The camera also has motion detection notification, so I can be notified of any movement when no one is home. The video recording is sufficient for short term storage, for my use. I was also able to share the app with my husband with ease, and set up of the device was easy as well. Price is reasonable as well. Absolutely nothing negative to say about it! I even recommended this to others who needed it for monitoring their elderly parents.

Good camera good price easy

Terrific camera price is good ...i can see my home from my smart phone any where any time ....i dont have it all hooked up to alexa yet but i will soon... i bought my first camera about half a year ago . The only thing is being able to quiet the alarms(notifications) without shutting off camera .... I still want to review footage later.... without turning off ALL notifications and rings on my iphone..... Picture quality is good at night in b/w . I also think they should have a group plan for the icloud paying per camera per year seams crazy ... I like that you can move the orb around to see different angles ... i would love if it followed the motion without my help..... Nice product easy to set up easy to use

Amazing Indoor Home/Pet Camera!

Purchased 2 of these cameras to keep an eye on our dog during the day. The camera is easy to setup and install. What we like best is the option to use a Micro SD card to keep recordings instead of having to subscribe to their cloud system. The rotational view is awesome, however the sound the moving camera makes is a little loud, and the 2-way voice/audio feature is weak. Would also like a longer adapter cord for more flexibility in mounting the camera around the house. These minor "cons" in no way outweigh the pros and I would highly recommend these cameras for indoor use to anyone needing a reliable and affordable option!

NetVue Orb Cam1080P Pet Camera, Home Camera 2 Way Audio

I bought my first camera about two weeks ago and I liked it so much that I went ahead and purchased a second camera for a different room in my house. Like I mentioned in my first review, this cameras have a sharp day and night vision. The audio is loud and clear. It is perfect because I have a little dog and I can keep and eye on her when she is off the lens and I can speak to anyone in the room and I can hear them back. Excellent camera, very please with it. I highly recommend it.

Great Initial Impression

I’ve just received and installed the device so this is focused on initial impression. So far, so good. Out of the box it’s not particularly impressive. Some may find the product feel and weight is not high end level. I would say that there is value in it being light-weight, and given that, and the price, it’s entirely inline with expectations. I have no problem with it. I thought the install process was very nice. Directions are simple, the app install was quick and easy and the install verification email arrived immediately. The process uses scan codes at two steps: one, a code on the device to register it to your Netvue (required) account—it worked flawlessly; second, to initiate setup to your local network—that too worked well. I did have a hang up on network config that ended with me in Netvue real time chat: the device is clear that it needs to connect to a 2.4ghz network, which I did. However, it didn’t occur to me that my *mobile device* may also need to be connected to the same network. That detail wasn’t mentioned anywhere I noticed. So my setup attempt failed each of four tries. —> Netvue: if the mobile device running the setup also needs to be on a 2.4ghz network it would be best to clearly note that The online chat wasn’t great, either, in that after sending a screenshot of my local WiFi the responses just dropped. Didn’t know what was going on, but I decided to drop after a few minutes. —> Netvue: it’s critical to keep in contact, and if offline work is required agents should inform so I dropped the chat and considered that maybe I should change my mobile WiFi from 5ghz to 2.4ghz. And after that install was a breeze! I’ve played with the motion detect feature: great; received an email notification almost immediately! I’ve played with the real-time app controls and live-feed: fantastic App Function/Design: no issues here Picture quality: check; I will note that it doesn’t appear to have as wide an angle as I expected; that said, images don’t have too bad of a “fishbowl” effect, either; but depending on one’s room you may expect that the field of view will not cover the room—all this subject to placement and angle, of course Night vision: tbd All in all I’m really happy with the purchase and very excited to see how it continues to function. The item cost really seems bargain and I’m already recommending it to family! Admittedly I don’t have experience with other products, but so far I would definitely look to stay with Netvue products in the future amid all the options out there-

Excellent value

The Netvue Orb camera is a fantastic value. Thanks to the digital pan/tilt with 360° viewing angle I’m able to monitor much of the first floor of my house with a single camera. Motion detection with customizable motion zone and real-time alerts are essential features for my do-it-yourself security system, and auto-switching night vision means I don’t have to leave lights on in order to have peace of mind at night. The ability to provide camera access to my family via their phone/tablet is vital functionality, and the ease of use of the Netvue app is greatly appreciated. Micro SD and Amazon AWS data storage provides the flexibility I was looking for. The Netvue Alexa Skill and the ability to monitor cameras from my Fire TV were icing on the cake as far as I’m concerned. Overall, I’m very pleased with the Orb camera, so much so that I’ll be ordering another!

better than panasonic

We needed a pet monitor to take on vacation with us so we could keep an eye on our pet when we were out. We currently have a panasonic home hawk monitor but found the set-up, ios app and picture quality below our expectations. We decided on the netvue pet camera because we liked the ability to remote pan and tilt and the clear night vision. Set up was a breeze. Installation on ios and android phones were easy and very intuitive. We were up and running in no time. Picture quality was a lot better than the panasonic in all levels of light. Also, the panansonic app took forever to load while the netvue app is fast. We're very satisfied with this monitor and will probably be purchasing another one for a second room soon.

Works great

This camera works great. Let's me know when things are moving about in the house and I get to keep an eye on my puppy when I leave the house!!
