This otoscope is amazing! My son has had ear problems all his life (he’s 13). I am constantly taking him to the ear doctor for earaches. I had a basic otoscope that just allowed you to look in the ear. It was okay, but nothing special. It just started crapping out on me so I decided to get one that you can look at on your phone/computer. After researching thoroughly, I decided to give this one a try. Am I glad I did! This otoscope came neatly packaged in a little black, semi hard case. It looks like it will be good protection. At first, looking at the instructions, it seemed a bit confusing. But really all you have to do is download the app, turn the otoscope , put the appropriate tip (IPhone, Android) on the cord and plug it into your phone. You’ll immediately see whatever the camera is pointing at. It truly is amazing. I haven’t received any compensation for this review. I paid full price for it. I just had to write how great I think this little doodad is! 😁

As a family physician I’ve looked at hundreds of ears and was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use to visualize my own eardrum and picture quality with the Teslong Otoscope. I even showed my ENT specialist and she was “shocked” at how well it showed the tympanic membrane and adjoining structures. She vowed to get one for her own personal use. This otoscope allowed me to view my own fluid-filled middle ear and proceed to an ENT for drainage tube placement (see attached).

Sorry for the video of you are sensitive. That video was taken less than 10 min from removing it from box. You can see there is a learning curve with orientation. I learned that I thought I was being so stellar with my qtip by sliding it in and dragging it out. Well it was really causing tears in my ear canal, so I will stop that. Can’t wait for my kids to get home from school. Hope this doesn’t break fast. If so I will do an update.

If you're one of those people who are obsessed with those earwax videos on YouTube, then this product is for you. You need to download the app on your iPhone in order to use the otoscope. It is easy to use and is always satisfying to see your eardrums. It can be a little difficult to clean your ears because you need to orient yourself, but it's quite the fun to remove your earwax. The quality and lighting is great.

Love it! My son tolerates this much better because he can watch it on the phot rather than a regular otoscope.

This will pay for itself very quickly. I was tired of taking my kids to the doctor for suspected ear infections and after I get there they did not have one (and no medicine was needed) and sometimes they did. So it’ll be nice to know when it’s necessary to spend the money to see our pediatrician or not. It comes in a nice case with little pockets to stay organized. I am very impressed with the instructions. They were very easy to understand. I got it setup in just a few minutes with my phone. Pit it in my ear and the eardrum was very easy to see. Image is clear. Highly recommend to others with little kids who get sick frequently.

After struggling with an earwax clogged ear for many years and trying just about everything there is to try including many different liquids/pumps/cleaners I could never get my ears to be fully clean and unclogged. I had to be super careful when taking showers because any amount of water getting into my ear would mean hearing issues for a few days due to the softened wax. I used to wake up with a clogged ear on a daily basis and I'd have to mess with my ear by pulling it it around to the point where I could get a little opening somewhere on the inside and be able to hear just decently. After yet again going on amazon and trying to find a solution I came across this and decided to give it a try since I can actually see inside and see what I'm dealing with. After receiving the item and spending about an hour slowly scooping out all the wax I was amazed at how much wax there was stuck inside my ear. Once done and clean the sounds I was able to hear made me laugh out of happiness, the crispness of running water into a sink was something I haven't heard in a few years and being able to hear all these sounds that I had forgotten about made me super happy. Now I can sleep on my sides and I can wake up and hear. I can take a shower without worrying about a clogged ear for days to come. This was worth every penny and then some. If you have a chronic issue with ear wax build up I highly recommend you stop wasting money on pumps and liquids and get this instead. You will be amazed and extremely happy once you hear what you've been missing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

It was a little tricky to use at first. I found that gently pulling the ear towards the back of the head and upwards made finding the eardrum so much faster and easier. The learning curve was about 5 minutes and now we have examined every family members ears just to see how cool the little ones feel to look inside their own ears. It has really paid off with finding ear infections twice. They are easy to wash, air drying them on a lint free towel is best. The telemed doctor was happy that he could see proof of the infection and not just have to go off of symptoms. This does come with some tiny spoon shaped attachments that are such a great idea for scraping out ear wax. However, they come off real easy with a back and forth motion and it was hard to remove from the ear. I would like to see an improvement in the attachments staying on securely before I recommend using them. If they improve that feature. I would purchase the enhanced attachments. It holds a charge well and has connected with my Android and my son's iPhone without any glitches. Overall, I love this gadget and will recommend one for a baby gift. I used a video as my picture to show you the movement of my eardrum.

Love this otiscope... lots of fun & usefulness, especially for how little it costs. Highly recommend it! Several people I've showed it to (even a relative who's s a surgeon, was super impressed with it!) Works great - I'm using the "wired" (not wireless) version of the otiscope - and using it with a USA locked (not jail broken) Samsung Note 9 phone. Since android OS can be a little complicated, here are the steps to connect it if you're having trouble getting it connected (takes seconds to do them all - easy!) . 1) On your android phone, turn on "USB Debugging" (via your phone's "Settings-->"Developer options")... 2) then open up the companion app ("iUVC Pro" in the Google Play Store)... 3) Connect the provided USB cable to the otiscope and then to your phone, 4) THEN turn on the otiscope (small button 1 on the side of unit)... 5) and then ALSO turn on the otiscope's light (2nd button on the side... the otiscope's power on/off & its light's power on/off are 2 separate buttons on the side - and the light has 3 brightness levels you can toggle through)... 6) then on the iUVC Pro app screen, tap the upper-left icon (looks like 3 monitors connected by lines)... 7) then tap USB from the popup, 8) then slide the slider over to allow for USB tethering. 9) Then go "back" to the app (with back buttons, or by app-switching back to the iUVC screen), and your phone's screen should show you the otiscope image it's seeing. If it does not, or if the image is really dark or "black", make sure you've turned on the otiscope's light! (step 5). 10) When you're done using the otiscope, turn USB Debugging back off (it won't hurt your phone to leave it on, but some other apps you use may not like it to be on when using those apps - the only one I've ever noticed not liking it on is a banking app for fingerprint sign-on purposes). Tips: While using, have the otiscope plugged in to power (use another cable) and charging while using it, if you plan to use it for more than like 15 minutes (believe it or not, it's easy to use this for more than 15 minutes! It's so much fun). Fun with a child also, for looking at anything really close up. :) Also - you don't need to use the black otiscope covers if you don't want to (to me, it's a a better view without them!) - just use normal human adult intelligence about how far to go into the ear canal, if using it in an ear. Enjoy!
