First things first, no pictures or videos because I paid for this knife with my hard earned money. I am a professional fine dining chef that has been cooking for 30 years, so not exactly a spring chicken. This knife caught my eye for the size and price so I decided to give it a try. 8" slicing knives are a sweet spot for what I do on a day to day basis and have been using this knife for meat and fish butchery along with using it for a slicer during service. I really enjoyed the card that Dalstrong included with the knife letting you to know not to use the knife for mortal combat or lend it to the FNG. They included a nice plastic sheaf as well. Blade came fairly sharp and a few passes on a steel turned it into an absolute razor. Almost scary to use. I have used just about every decent brand out there at this point and have been slowly heading towards more Japanese steel and really like my current Shun knives, but with future purchases I will be giving Dalstrong more consideration

The blade is very sharp with a nice balance. Has an extremely comfortable grip and fits well in hand. Easy to maneuver around all cuts of meat. Great knife with a reasonable price.

I've been collecting DalStrong knives for some time now, and once again, I'm VERY pleased with their consistent build quality. The handles are always beautifully made with a seamless surface between the micarta and steel. I particularly love the curved end tip on this knife for deboning cooked chicken and filleting fish.

Been wanting to get a breaking knife for awhile now. Little did i know that I'd end up using this knife as my main driver (for breaking down meats / carving) . Its light, super sharp, holds and edge, and its just gorgeous. I enjoyed this knife so much I decided to order another for my father in law for fathers day. I would recommend it to anybody.
