Clock Movement

After the easy installation of the clock parts in an outside clock on the wall of our patio, it has been keeping perfect time, and the second hand is a sweeping instead of a click movement, which I like much better.

When ordering replacement parts, please measure carefully. I made a mistake with my original order - correct length clock hands, but incorrect shaft length for my clock face. Fortunately, the folks at Lily Glory are terrific and sent me the correct size. Wonderful customer service and my clock is working once again!

Clock Repair Replacement that works

I used this unit to replace one in a clock that we really liked after we could not get the manufacturer's customer service to even respond during warranty period. This unit works so much better and has a smooth moving second hand instead of the jerky second hand of the old one. While we have only had it in service for a couple of weeks it does not show hardly any battery drainage which means it should last several months. We are really happy with this unit.

Affordable replacement works for dead quartz clocks

These are perfect for replacing the works in three clocks I had that quit a while back. Smooth running sweep second hand so no annoying ticking. Short shaft is for thin clock faces of 1/8-inch or less. Save you’re old hands because the ones it comes with are too long for some small faces. Do not use Alkaline battery according to the seller as it can ruin the clock. Arrived really fast and are working great so far.

Now My Clock Is Quiet!

My old ticking wall clock was driving me nuts. On a whim I did an Amazon search to find out that Youngtown made a quiet version of the motor in my ticking clock. It was a quick switch and the new motor snapped into place. I even used the old clock hands even though the new motor came with new hands (I liked the old ones better). Now I can sit in my chair and NOT have to listen to that tick, tick, tick. All is good!

Perfect

There are lots of look alike options for these, and if you are like me, it is sometimes like throwing darts. I wrote this review to say, I think it is safe to throw the dart here. I would buy this clock works again without hesitation. It Came with a simple sheet of instructions. I followed them and it was equally simple. The only change from my original clock is that on this the second hand has smooth, quiet motion, rather than a click and movement for each second that passes. The only thing I didn't pay attention to is the length of the shaft. I purchased the 7/16" shaft length; I got lucky only because the clock face is one thin sheet of metal. Had it been any thicker, I would have needed one of the other optional lengths.

Good clock movement

Our old clock died and instead of buying a new one, we had to replace the movement because our clock was built into a specific fixture. We ordered this one and it works nicely so far, and the second hand moves smoothly instead of with the little "second" jerk our old clock had. My husband had to trim the clock hands (not really suppose to) a little bit to fit our clock, but that hasn't affected the accuracy of the time keeping.

There are so many different sized clockworks and really easy to get the wrong one, even if you go into a brick and mortar where you can handle the package, and pick it out. I had some good I D marks, so I ordered what looked to be the correct one. It was the exact one that I ordered and it was as pictured. And, so far it works perfectly. Thank you

Works Great. Smooth second hand.

I didn't know I had so many choices on Amazon it was difficult to decide which clock movement to order. I made the right choice except minute hand a little long. No problem. I just clip the tip off with fingernail clipper. . This clock movement works great and smooth and allowed me to salvage a favorite clock. If I need another clock repair replacement I'll order from you.

Fairly simple to install.

Since this was used as a replacement I would like thread dimensions and shaft dimensions clearly in inches in order to be able to be sure I will be buying the correct replacement motor. This was not exactly the same as the original but it was barely close enough. It is installed and it works fine.
