Much less desk space than most with just as much power

I have purchased two laminators in the last couple of years, this is my third. The first “name brand” laminator stopped working. The second one (Amazon brand) still works. My daughter borrows it a lot so I thought I’d give her this, smaller lightweight unit. I laminate things a lot for my classroom so my laminator gets used more than occasionally. When I received this it is noticeably smaller. I love it! The majority of items I laminate are 8.5 X 11. This works great because the paper doesn’t have the opportunity to become crooked. My bigger laminator accepts larger sizes but I don’t always get them straight. The laminator heats up quickly and is easy to use. I didn’t read instructions (get that from my hubby) but it’s a laminator. I’m keeping this less expensive unit and letting her keep the larger one. This is definitely a great purchase. If you’re in the market for something to protect 8.5 X 11 or smaller items, choose this one.

Woks great

I needed a laminator for home projects. This one had great reviews and the price was good. Heat up time was very quick. The autofeed was perfect It's very easy to use and compact which is great for storing. The instructions indicated cold laminating but I didn't see how to use cold but it's not important for what I need. I would recommend this product.

Easy to use. Does the job.

I just wanted a laminator to protect some of my son's preschool "art". I didn't need anything too fancy but I wanted something that could do various sizes. I loved that it came with different size pouches (instead of all 8.5 x 11) since some of his work is smaller. The corner rounder is nice to have, but the lamination pouches are already rounded, so unless you were cutting it, they would already be rounded. I've used the paper trimmer for quite a few other things. Those are always handy to have. Only laminated about 10 things so far, but it's worked great with regular printer paper and construction paper.

Small, light, sleek, and fast!

*I would like to disclose that I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.* I have the Amazon Basics laminator and purchased it for $21.99 a few years ago. It works fine, does it's job, nothing special. I received the Crenova laminator to review so I compared it to my Amazon Basics laminator. The Crenova is smaller, lighter, and I personally prefer the black color. It comes with a paper cutter which seems a bit flimsy but surprisingly works very well. It has non skid pads on the bottom and they keep the cutter from sliding around which is nice. It also came with a corner rounder, it didn't work very well for me. I may have received a defective one but since it is free with the laminator, I'm not disappointed. The Crenova laminator also came with a lot of sheets in 3 sizes which is really nice! It allows you to start laminating right away. I compared the speeds of the Crenova and Amazon Basics laminators and these were my findings: Time to heat up: Crenova- 177 seconds Amazon- 203 seconds Time to laminate an 8x10: Crenova- 51 seconds Amazon- 64 Overall I like the Crenova laminator better than the Amazon one. For $29.99 it's a pretty good deal with all the sheets and extras. I think the Crenova laminator is sleek, light, and fast and would recommend this product if you're looking for a good laminator.

Good quality

I been using this laminator for 3 weeks. In this 3 weeks I been doing all my teaching aids by using this laminator, I am so happy with it. Easy to use and carry out to my work place, pretty light to carry around. Also when the laminator pouches came our from the laminator, the quality is so good. I am so excited with the products every day I use. The tip I remember when I use this laminator, normally I used other laminator the paper usually come out is so hot and not easy to cut, but this laminator, the paper cool down pretty quick, I just wait for couple second to cut them and there paper trimmer, such as helpful for me to use them for teaching. Nice product!

Good little laminator

Disclaimer: this product was given to me for a review. I've tried to be honest and unbiased. I own an Amazon Basic Laminator for a while so I compared Crenova Laminator to it. Although it says it is A4 size laminator I used letter size pouches and it worked. It is just exact letter pouch size. It is kinda one size fit all when it comes to thickness. It is 3 and 5mil capable. There no manipulations needed to change thickness like on Amazon Basic one where you have to put power switch in proper position of pouch thickness. It feels that Crenova is a little faster than Amazon's one, I'll say 10-15% faster. One major difference - it is much more quiet than Amazon's one. I like that power switch is on a front panel so when you done you don't have to look for it on back of the unit as on Amazon's one. Crenova's unit is smaller then Amazon's one by about 15-20%. Price wise I think they are on par as Crenova comes with set of all kind size pouches and trimmer which compensates $8 difference . It wormed up pretty quick, the lamination process was pretty good from one pass. I did 2 passes on both laminators and they are of the same good quality. Overall it is nice little laminator. Only time will prove(or not) its reliability.

Highly recommended purchase!

This laminator really packs a punch. It's small and lightweight enough to be carried in most large purses or tote bags, yet works beautifully! It heated up quickly without getting dangerously hot, and was almost immediately ready to use. It cooled off quickly after use as well. The package came with several sizes of laminator pouches, a simple generic manual (my poor husband spent some time trying to find the hot and cold switches before I told him it wasn't that kind of laminator), the slide ruler, edge rounder, and of course the laminator itself. I didn't get a chance to try the edge rounder since the pouches themselves already had soft corners. The edges of the pages once laminated tend to be a little sharp if you use papers the exact size of the pouches, so be careful! The laminated pages I tested on were smooth with no bubbles or discoloration. Some pages had a slight rippling at the top and bottom within the finished plastic, but nothing that distorted the image or that couldn't be solved by simply supporting the page as it passes through the laminator rather than letting it feed automatically through without any adjustments. Practice will make perfect! And the plastic is dry-erase friendly, perfect for making chore sheets and dinner lists!

worth to buy

I needed a laminator for my home office that could laminate up to A4. I compared this against the better known brands, but decided to give this a go based on the good reviews. I'm glad I did. It's extremely easy to use and great quality. The unit is ready to operate in a couple of minutes after it's heated up, and the results are great - smooth, no bubbles! It's worth mentioning that others have said that putting the back plate on caused the lamination sheets to get stuck and melt the inside. I can see how this might happen - you can see from my pictures that if the back plate is attached smooth side facing up (what looks best) there is virtually no gap for the laminated sheet to come out. However, if you attach the plate smooth side facing down (so the ridges are exposed), the gap is there and it functions fine. Others have just removed the plate altogether. This could be clearer in the manual. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
