Good enough for beginners.

I gave it five stars because for $56, I feel it was a good buy. I bought it for my kids, but it wouldn't be a bad travel guitar. I've played guitar for 24 years and am happy with the build quality. It does not seem to have a truss rod (understandable, $56 and short scale), so I have to recheck the strings once I've tuned it. Has a nice sound. In standard tuning the short scale makes it easy to press the strings. Recommend stretching the strings well before playing. Great beginner guitar for a 6-10 year old.

Perfect Starter Guitar set for kids

Perfect starter set for 7 year old. Guitar stays in tune and AMp is strong enough to get a good jam going!!!

Impressively well made quality

True this isn't a "real" guitar. It's for kids, who never take care of their stuff. But for a young boy who has an interest in exploring the idea of playing the electric guitar--this is the best first step I have found. You will not be disappointed for the cost. The amp is small, which most parents will appreciate the reasonable limits of noise in the house.

Fabulous

For the money especially this is amazing. The guitar is good. That alone was worth the price. And it comes with a case. Cool. The strap sucks, so buy or make a better one. The amp works well but the knobs to nothing. But it's also a tiny battery powered one. It's basically a speaker. And that's all we needed for a 9 year old. Fantastic buy! Highly recommended.

Amp doesn't work

Got this for my daughters birthday and she hasn't been able to use it because the amp doesn't work. The light turns on but no sound besides static comes out. Don't know if it's something with the guitar or the amp. I also dislike that the amp requires a battery even tho it has a power cord plug in but no power cord came with it. Also the volume nob on the guitar seems a little wonky. Update- because the item I received was defective, customer service kindly refunded my account for the item. The guitar is a great first guitar and would have loved for it to work with the amp but the outstanding customer service made up for it. 5 stars for the company being so helpful and understanding. I would purchase from this company again.

Surprised by the Quality

Bought this for the 3 and 5 year old to share. Perfect size for both. I play the guitar some, and I'm very impressed with the quality of this guitar. It's a real screamer. I actually scared the boys by playing too loud, but it was fun. It holds its tune well, and the tuning machines are smooth. The volume pot is poor quality, scratchy, and jumpy, but it does adjust the volume in a range between silence and mayhem. The amp it comes with is tiny, but surprisingly loud and grungy. I appreciate the extra set of strings, but the one that came on it will probably last years.

Awesome

This is a WONDERFUL! Starter guitar. I added the photo of My son with it to give a size comparison. He is six and about 4ft3in. We did get a better cord that connects from the guitar to the amp.( the one that came with it is fine but my husband said a better quality one makes a lot of difference) And eventually we will also get a much better amp( he uses my husband good one when they aren’t playing together) the amp that comes with it is good it’s just small it’s about as tall and as long as my iPhone 8plus it’s very small. But also VERY LOUD I was shocked. It would work for someone just starting out well it’s junk just small. It runs off a 9v battery but the sound quality is greatly affected when used with a batty it gets very staticky and in and out; rather then a wall plug with a crisp clear sound and no interference. which we perchesed separately. I do wish it came with the wall power adapter but it does not that really would be my only complaint with this guitar.

The size is perfect for her

I bought this guitar for my 8 year old daughter and she LOVES it. She is learning how to play it and really enjoys it. The size is perfect for her.

Big bang for your buck. Perfect for beginner, high enough quality to keep interest

Purchased for my 7 year old to begin guitar lessons. It comes with a guitar bag/case, extra strings, pick, amplifier, cable, straps, everything you need! The Amp takes just a 9 volt battery so you don't need a wall jack although you can use a dc adapter as well. It is a beautiful color and has weight, it's not some cheap lightweight. It has pegs that have a good grip so no slipping pitch. I teach music and must say I'm impressed with this little guitar. My son will not be able to beat this thing up easily and the strings are decent quality. I had no trouble tuning and enjoyed all 6 pegs being on the same side of the guitar. You won't be disappointed in this package. I'm a music teacher and am pleased.

Exceptional - even for little guys!

This is very high quality - very much like the real deal. Bought it for our 3 year old grandson who loves music and guitars. We were ALL totally amazed at the quality. Exceptionally well priced. He will be able to use it for years!!
