The decibel meter works great to detect noise in the living room.

Accurate

A very accurate and accurate little device. Very light and easy to use. I tested the decibel levels with various noises and the readings are very accurate. Minimum is 30 dB and maximum is 80 dB reading. Keep in mind that conversation is 60 dB, lawn mower is 90 dB, and rock concert is 120 fb.

Handy device to have around

I can now show my wife how loud my car is. Seriously, I want to be able to test my 3d printer loudness with different drivers installed. This is a very nice device, it even comes with batteries. It is a bit confusing at first as how to install the batteries, but there is an outer case that must be removed first.

Great Little SPL Meter

I bought this as a quick way to test the sound level at church. I just got it today and tried it out and this looks like it will work very nicely. The led backlight is a nice touch. I don’t have any other SPL meters around to test the accuracy, but it looks about right from the tests I’ve done so far.
