Terrific for your first pair of headphones!
Doing transcription from home, I use these headphones daily. Pricewise, they fell in the "middle of the road" category, but I'm very happy with them. The ears fit tight and don't let a lot of other noise in. They are height adjustable so they won't bump the top of your head. They plugged right into my speakers as well as into another spot on my hard drive, but I prefer using them in the speaker so I can have the volume adjustment right in front of me. I've been using them about 8 months now and they still look in brand-new condition. I am considering upgrading soon, just to satisfy my own curiosity and see if a pricier pair really makes that much of a difference - this was my first pair when I started and compared to NO headphones, these are totally worth the investment. I have no doubt they will continue to perform and will last a very long time. Plenty of cord is included, the earpieces are very comfortable, and the sizing is adjustable. All in all, not one single complaint.

Highly recommended!
When I first took it out of the box, I was honestly not expecting much. It's super lightweight and feels as cheap as it is, but the sound quality is what blew me away. It's astonishing, really, especially for the price. A major plus is that the ear foam is really soft and doesn't make your ears ache no matter how long you wear it; I say this because I do a lot of work on the computer and actually wear it for several hours at a time. I have pretty sensitive ears and most headphones I've tried couldn't be worn for more than 30-40 minutes before my ears felt like they'd fall off (including the expensive). I've had them for about a week now and they seem pretty durable so far, but I only use them for in-home use on my computer, so just keep that in mind. I'll return to update if they break or stop working. Overall, seeing as I have yet to come up with any criticisms, they're definitely worth it. EDIT: It's been half a year and it's still working as if I just bought it! I've traveled with it a few times and it's still really good, which is surprising to me considering how bulky it is. It's essentially made of cheap plastic, but I've never been happier. EDIT 2: After about a year the right side stopped working, but it really took a lot of damage on my part for that to happen. I used these headphones almost daily for several hours, and it really served me well.

Glad I purchased them and you will be too!
Every once in a while, I come across an item that, for my purposes, far exceeds even the bare minimum of expectation I could have. The Model HPM1000 Behringer Headphones are one such item. Prior to purchase, I researched numerous other brands and models.. ultimately choosing to gamble on these essentially out of sheer curiosity. And I am so glad I did! The feel of these headphones suit me well and I found them to be instantly comfortable. I noted the 3.5mm end and screw on 1/4" adapter were heavy to the feel and of a good build quality. Overall sound was above par (not perfect but heck for the price point, far better then most in-ear bullet type and on ear types for sure) Bottom line: For under $12 bucks (US) you absolutely cannot go wrong with these headphones for normal everyday use. If you are looking for super bass response or ultra high fidelity, then these are definitely not the way to go, but if like me, you just need some good monitor headphones for your mix board or something to plug in to your tablet to listen to music or a movie, at this price point you are assured a good deal - and after all, that is essentially what we all want... a good deal! And while not what I would call super high fidelity sound quality, the frequency response is "good" - bass is good, treble is good... no rumble etc. Overall build quality is also "good" - again, we are talking about a mass produced item primarily made of plastic and its incredible how good it feels and sounds right out of the box. I am confident in saying that at just $12 bucks you are going to have a really tough time finding anything better than these headphones. I'm glad I purchased them. And you will be too!

Super cost to benefit product
While certainly the $1000 alternatives are better for critical listening on audiophile quality equipment, these are very nice for any sort of typical video when you don't want to disturb others. Plugged them into the iMac and they did their job without nerdy pairing exercises. Fine. I do use BT for my mobile devices though. They are just plain cheap, inexpensively speaking, look good and are adjustable in every way. The only gripe is that the padding on the top frame is thin. Don't know if these fall apart in time or not. They are comfortable enough and go around the ear with a sensible oblong configuration. The cord is long but is not the braided type that might be better. The sound is as good as the typical sources we listen to on our computers and phones. No complaints. Hecho en China.

The reviews!!!
I bought these headphones based on the reviews, and so should you! I had really high hopes for these to be clear and capable of relaying enough bass to enjoy the songs how they actually sound. They are. I absolutely love wearing them while I'm working out, listening to audio books and podcasts, and occasionally watching ID Go on my phone while hubby sleeps. :o)

After 3 years and every abuse possible they still push.
I bought these headphones over 3 years ago from a different place and i paid twice as much. After letting them burn-in, they sound awesome, way better than what i paid for. Now 3 years later, every possible kind of abuse they went for: they were constantly dropped, cable run over by my chair countless times and pulled constantly, parrot chewing on them etc. YET THEY STILL WORK!! Truely a work of engineering art, This headphone is a must-buy for cheapskates

The sound rendering is excellent and extremely true to what is actually being recorded ...
Firstly, buyers need to understand that these are NOT normal consumer headphones for tv, movies, or music. These are for monitoring audio EXACTLY as it sounds as it enters an audio recording device or mixing board. I bought these as studio monitoring headphones to use with my linear PCM recorder (a Tascam dr-05) connected to a boom pole setup (an XLR shotgun microphone, mounted on a pole, that feeds into the recorder with a regular mini jack). For the price I was not expecting very much. I was VERY surprised at the quality and accuracy of the audio. The sound rendering is excellent and extremely true to what is actually being recorded which is exactly what you want for studio monitors. There is no unnecessary boosting of bass, treble, or vocals and the volume on these babies is perfect. My only complaint with this product is that the build quality SEEMS slightly low, as they feel like the outer casing is made of thin plastic. I have owned these for over a year now and have put them through normal durability punishment and they have held up great! I have been especially hard on the headband adjustment clips (usually the first thing to break) and they have held up extremely well considering everything I have thrown at them. So while they "feel" as though the outer casing is cheaply made, they are, in fact, quite durable and sturdy. I will be buying 2-3 more of these exact units so my whole crew can listen and monitor. Based solely on this product, BEHRINGER is now a name I trust and associate with extreme quality AND excellent value.

I forgot what good sound was
First of all, I listen to a lot of music. I had been listening to music on a pair of $3 black Friday headphones I got a few years ago, And to be honest, they worked ok. But I was looking for something with a longer cord because every time I moved from my desk they would come flying off my head. I had been considering these headphones for quite some time, I just got them today so I cant speak for longevity. some people say they are cheaply made. Honestly they are not to bad. they are most definitely not a stylish headphone that is going to make people think your some sort of hip person. In fact maybe you will be intellectual because you are using headphones that look like they have been made the same way for 10 years. But the cool part about these is for a full 12 dollars or so. you will have a serious pair of headphones. I'm a budget mined person so I couldn't say they are as good as $200 dollar headphones because my price point was under $15 so I would never even consider such fancy things. (thought I am curious to put these against my brothers beats headphones and see how they compare) But lets face it your probably not looking at that price range either if your reading this review. Bottom line, theses are seriously good headphones, from using my $3 ones and then going to this " upgrade" I can tell you the musical experience is better.I should of made the switch sooner. I can hear notes ive never heard before. I listen to mostly acoustic, Indy, folk types of music and the sound is phenomenal for that type of music because these are studio headphones so they don't fluff up the music or add base. Its kind of raw and clear basically. That being said, im not sure how well they would work for say rap or pop music. Also ive notice because the sound is so raw, I find myself adjusting volume more often especially if im listening to stuff on you tube.

You might not believe that this headphone's sound quality is as good as Beat Solo 2's
I bought this Behringer HPM1000 Headphone for my keyboard. I mainly use my Beat Solo 2 for listening to music. Today, just for fun, I compared the sound quality between the two headphone, and noticed, to my surprise, that Behringer HPM1000, which is only around 10 bucks, sounds as crisp, clear, and detailed as Beat Solo 2, for which I paid more than $200. Of course, this cheap Behringer does neither control the original noise from the source nor have impressive base sound. But because it does not color the original source with a grave base sound, it seems to represent the original sound more realistically and more naturally. Considering the price, this Behringer headphone's sound is just astonishing to me. When I bought this, I never had any type of expectation, I just wanted to have a cheap headphone for keyboard playing at night. But now it turns out that this one simply surpasses the money value. Extremely satisfied with this gem. If you are looking for a decent headphone on budget, this is it. Buy this. I have no hesitation to recommend the Behringer HPM1000, which appears to me now as a little blessing for life.
