Forget confusing competitors. This is what you're looking for.
After smashing the glass on my iPhone 4, I began the cumbersome search for a solution. Replacement and factory repair were way too pricey yet I was intimidated to attempt a repair on my own. I didn't want to be without my phone for days so, with the calming reassurance of assistance from my mechanically-inclined boyfriend, I decided to research screen replacements. There are a lot of screen replacement kits out there. Some have the LCD and some don't, some have tools that are cheap. It's horrible reading all of those reviews and very confusing. Don't be tempted to buy something that's $12. You get what you pay for. This is what you want. In under two hours, I had my phone disassembled, the screen replaced, and the phone back in full operation. Having a laptop open to the iCracked YouTube page and watching the tutorial while completing the repair was a huge help. It took the edge off of those inevitable moments where you wonder if you're pushing or pulling too hard on a little wire. And the guy who performs their YouTube tutorials gives you excellent tips and tricks to make the process even easier than it looks in the instructions. It felt like having an expert in the room with me. (Actually, I guess I did!). This kit has everything you need except for a hair dryer (to loosen some adhesive) and a knife. I didn't have the suggested pocket knife but used a kitchen knife instead and it worked just fine. The tools are awesome and the little screwdrivers are magnetic, a huge help with the tiny screws. It comes with everything you need and more, including bumpers Tip: Since the instruction mat comes folded and doesn't lie perfectly flat to serve as a place to hold screws, go to a craft store and buy a little stack of small, round magnets. Keep the screws you've removed from each step on a separate magnet. This will help you keep them in order, as some are different lengths and it could become frustrating looking for the right one later. It will also prevent you from losing one if you accidentally bump something and they all go rolling about. Trust me, they're tiny. In the end, not only is my phone repaired at a fraction of the cost of paying someone else to do it but I feel strangely empowered. There's a lot of small stuff inside that magical little phone and it felt great to turn it on and see my familiar home screen welcoming me back. Thanks iCracked! If I could be an ambassador, I would. You guys rock. :-)

Easy I stallation
The first one did not work but quickly received a new one from amazon. The company emailed me back asking if I wanted another one which was already one the way. The new one is awesome and super easy to install. Most screen did not come with a screen protector but this one did. Will continue to use this company again.

Don't waste your time on those cheap replacement screens - this is the one
I bought this kit for my wife's Sprint iPhone 4 to replace not a damaged screen but a defective screen. Yes like many people I tried to "save money" by buying one of those cheaper screens and then went through the time and effort to install it only to find that it had horrible lines on the screen and washed out colors. I finally came to my senses and figured I would pay the higher price and get a higher quality product for the expensive phone. This product met the bill completely. Very nice screen, white color appears to be exactly the same shade as the factory original AND, iCracked includes a preinstalled screen protector on this screen already. How awesome! I have replaced screens in iPhone's three times before so I already had a decent understanding of what to do but I have to say, the instructions that came with this were still very straight forward and a welcome "crutch" to use when you get deep into disassembly. The tools they give you to do the work are much higher quality than what you get with those cheaper replacements and can be used over an over again. Bottom line, Don't waste your time with those other cheapo screens. Get this one and don't look back!

Perfect
My phone got wet and damaged something between the home button and screen so the home button wouldn't work, even a replacement home button didn't work, so I replaced it with this screen and home button kit, it took about 10 min to carefully pry apart the my phone undo the cover plate unsnap the cables and reverse the process (there are lots of YouTube videos on how to do this), It worked great!!!!! after a few days I was really missing the touch unlock feature of my original home button, so I went back in to the phone and swapped the button for my original just to see, BINGO good as new! So I just bought a waterproof case for it.

A Stupid Simple Install (with a couple disclaimers)
This is honestly a fantastic product. Instead of paying for a third-party service, fix it yourself in less than 10 minutes. All you have to do is use the included tools to: 1) Separate the original screen from the phone (6 screws total) 2) Take the new screen and remove anti-static film 3) connect the 3 cables and screw back the protective plate (4 screws). Camera and home button are pre-installed. 4) snap screen and phone together and put last 2 screws in. Power on. The negative: It is important to notice that this screen does not include Force touch, and that the home button does not include Touch ID! These are proprietary Apple features and cannot be made by third-party manufacturers. You can, however, transfer your Touch ID-enabled home button from your old phone if it still works. Lots of resources on YouTube.

Fix your phone, get a job!
This is the "Cadillac" of iPhone screen replacements. iCracked really put a lot of thought into this package, which includes: 1. The new screen with a screen protector pre-installed. 2. A poster you can tape down on your workspace that steps you through the process and provides spots to save the microscopic screws. 3. A set of decent tools (almost everything you'll need). 4. A postage sticker to mail the old screen back for recycling. 5. A job offer! Seriously! iCracked also offers a service where one of their techs will do the replacement for you. In the kit is an advertisement for becoming one of their techs.

Fixed MAJOR Problem- Customer Service Above and Beyond!
I don't carry a purse, clutch, bag, or any other thing that i would be at risk of losing. So while wearing my favorite skirt (read: no pockets), i dropped my phone on the concrete. This thing was SMASHED. I'm talking "glass splinters in your pointer finger" smashed. I could still kinda read it at certain angles but the main break branched out to all 4 corners. The back screen was also broken, but just "cracked" vs "smashed. I was DETERMINED to fix this myself! I read Mac forums that made it sound like cake. Honestly, i did not really want to buy the iCracked set because it was the most expensive. What hooked me was their promise to help you fix it if you had problems on your own. (Yeah right, like THAT was gonna happen!) I bought 3 other kits under $10 just in case i didn't understand one, i hoped i could piece together a workflow for a simpleton like me. What a HUGE WASTE! Seriously, ALL of the replacement glass was subpar, NONE came w directions, and one was for an iphone 3 (yet advertised for a 4.) Being more the artist than the scientist, i did NOT go in order of the directions. HINT: GO IN ORDER OF THE DIRECTIONS! I got it apart in like 2 hours and back together in maybe 3 hours. Honestly, when i was putting it back together, i was so full of myself for having got that far, i *might* have glanced at the directions once. [My one suggestion to iCracked would to be to illustrate directions to *reassemble* on the back of your directions to disassemble. (It would only be the cost of the ink since the back is blank anyways. . . .) It's like when you use a GPS to get somewhere, most prefer NOT to freeze frame and read it backwards to get home. Its way easier to just reroute.] Soooo . . . .I finally put it back together and it would NOT TURN ON!! I already knew this was my bad and VERY scared that i lost all of my data. I emailed iCracked for help. WHY ICRACKED GETS 5 STARS: iCracked promptly responded and i was in communication with the manager from day one. Not only did iCracked fix my phone, they were able to save my data! I know this did not come easy for them but they never gave up! I got calls and/or emails at least twice a day w status reports. Apparently, it was looking pretty grim for the first few days. . . . I think everyone in the office had a go at it. . . . Finally, after about 5 business days, i got the happy news that my phone was fixed and all was right again in my universe!! It was great to know that my phone was in such good hands and that they were ACTIVELY working on it. Having worked in customer service, i have witnessed far too many people take the easy way out due to laziness and/or apathy. I REALLY felt like they CARED about my phone. Especially since they helped me in a way which i do not even think is part of their customary services (ie, configuring lost data from a screen change gone bad.) I could tell that these peeps really LOVE their job and i was told that the WHOLE OFFICE CHEERED when my phone lit up!! And from a small business owner's perspective, i'm extra impressed by the plethora of extra time and effort that iCracked employed in my situation. I had already paid for their product. iCracked could've been satisfied with just my money. Instead they worked to earned my respect and happiness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ICRACKED SERVICES WITHOUT RESERVATION!

Don't fall for cheap imitations!
OK, so we ordered new iphone 6s to replace our very old iphone 4s, but they were back ordered. I told my wife not to drop or damage her phone for the next two weeks so we could get the full trade in value. So what happened? Yep, she dropped it and shattered the screen. The phone still worked and the screen too but I was worried we wouldn't get much for it in that condition so I ordered a replacement screen for 18 bucks. It took me hours to replace (because the tools sucked) and when I got the thing back together it wouldn't fire up. Crap! I put the cracked screen back in and it still worked fine. I then ordered another cheap one from a different company and same result. I couldn't understand how I could get two bad screens?! What the hell man! I put the old one in (which worked fine) and researched the web and still couldn't figure out why these screens were not working. Old IOS not compatible? Bent the flex cable? What? So, finally I bit the bullet and bought the icracked replacement kit. Why the hell didn't I do that first? D'oh! By now I'm pretty good at taking apart an iphone 4 and the tools with this kit are far and away superior to the crap that came in the cheap kits. So, if you want to do this repair yourself: pay the extra money! You still save over taking it to get it done professionally. The screen is much better quality and the tools are magnetized and fit properly unlike the other junk I tried first. I will definitely use products from this company again. I highly recommend. Very good product!
