Love this US made LED pole light, Works great, Well made. Excellent light @ the proper height.

So far I love this light people. The light it produces in fantastic IMHO and I have included some pictures to try and show others how it performs at my place. I have included pictures showing how much light it produces, I also included some pics of my computer monitor showing how the light looks through my security systems cameras at nighttime. I had a local muffler shop bend me a piece of 1 /3/4'' X 5 'foot long/high exhaust piping to use as my mounting method/pole, it also helped to disperse the light on my driveway area as it placed the light higher above my driveway. I painted the pole to keep it from rusting and ran my wiring inside of it. The dusk to dawn sensor faces due north and thus far it has worked almost flawlessly. One night it did start flashing on and off all night but it had just snowed wet heavy snow that night and the next night it was fine again. The actual light it produces is awesome (55 watt) at best and I couldn't be happier with it at this point. I have replaced every light that is outside my home/shop with LED versions and my electric bill will be happier as will my wallet. I looked at every model Amazon had to offer as well as Ebay but from the reviews and the pricing on Amazon this light was it for me as it is made in the US for the most part something I wanted if possible. If I ever need any warranty I hope Amazon will be there for me as they had in the past and that's why I buy from them as much as I do. Without this light on my shop it is pitch black at night time here, trust me. Northern Minnesota. The cold has not bothered it all..

Good compact bright light.

Excellent light. It's a little more compact than I thought it would be, but with led's you don't need a large housing. It puts out a lot of white light, but not as much as the older large mercury vapor lamps. Judging on the output with this, I would predict that the 80 watt unit would easily match the output of the older mercury vapor lamps. It was also easy to install.

Bright!! Well worth it!

I purchased this to light up a parking area beside my shop. The shop already has a 35W security light from sams club. This light seems to be 2x the light output and coverage of the sams light. I am purchasing a second one for the other side of my property! Great light!! You can see the light on the shop from sams vs the one here on Amazon. Much more broadcast and not only from the height difference. In general it has much more coverage.

Great lights!! Easy to install!! Love them

I have a 68,000 SF building with 14 $$ burning old style lights. I was concerned due to size and cost so I ordered 1 and installed it and waited till dark to see how it looked. Well dark came and I picked up my phone and ordered the rest for entire building. Based on the size light they use in cost comparison you save 88% but my existing bulbs were not the same as they used so I will save over 90% so I’ll power all 14 for less that I have been paying to run 14. The lights are everything I wanted and more so I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for inexpensive and simple way to improve your lighting and physical appearance. I have another building that is 112,000 SF and it has different type enclosures so I am going to call Bobcat and see what they suggest.

The LED shines more downward but if mounted higher would do like the bulb light

I replaced a 70w Sodium light with this and the light is just as bright if not brighter. BUT my only problem is the bulb lights radiate light more outward than the LED. The LED shines more downward but if mounted higher would do like the bulb light. Very impressed with the light from such a small size that it is. I am yet to see the savings of 90w over six lights being i just installed them but i know i am saving energy. I know that if the light quits i will have to replace the hole unit but with a 5 year guarantee i'm not changing bulbs ever year or so and these lights are only around $40. I had 6 Sodium lights on poles on my property and bought one to start just to see if it would be sufficient and after installing it i bought 5 more. My only suggestion is mount them higher if you want the light to spread far.

Great light and outstanding seller

Installed this light to replace a 70w High Pressure Sodium. This LED light is as bright. if not brighter, than the sodium and it is pure clean white (doesn't have the yellow/orange glow the sodium had). The dusk to dawn cell turns it on and off at just the right time and it was very easy to install if you read the very thorough instructions. Not only that, the seller sent an email offering help if I needed it which was very nice and something that very few sellers do after the sale. It is well made, sturdy and lightweight. Lag bolts and wire nuts are included. Only time will tell how it holds up and if it will last as long as the claim, but being LED, it should outlast me. The only problem was with Amazon's packaging. Being packed in single ply cardboard, it should have been placed in a larger cardboard box with padding. One end of the package was torn open upon arrival but luckily nothing was damaged or missing.

Great design, bright, and easy to install

I liked the design....will deflect moisture from getting in without having to caulk. Very bright, and undoubtedly will use less electricity than my older light, which was a halogen light. Installation was a snap....three small lag bolts, then two small bolts for the undercarriage plate. I used my own weatherproof wire nuts (three) because of the light's exposed positioning to the weather. The first thing my wife said when I asked her to look at the new light was "Wow, it's much brighter than the other light."

I hate this light

I hate this light because I put it up just outside the beam of another light from a big box store in my driveway and it kicked it's fanny. Now I have to buy another one of these Bobcat lights because my existing lights looks so,,,measly. Super bright with a well distributed beam spread and at 55 watts, very effecient. If,,, this light last 5 years it will be one of the better investments I've ever made in outdoor lighting and living in the country with a lot of outdoor lighting, that says a lot! The light head was a little smaller than expected, not bad thing. Ancillary hardware seems very sturdy. Comes with just about everything but you will need the 1/2 inch Romex connecter to feed your wire through. Mounting screws are pretty long and has a 10mm hex head so, if you don't have that type of driver you will need to get #12 stainless steel screws 2-2 1/2 inches long. Original bolts are 2 1/2 inches long but that may be a little long for some applications. You'll also need wire strippers. The wire ends are stripped back maybe a 1/4 inch and they are tinned.

Perfect Outdoor Lights

I purchased two of these LED Area Lights (110 Watts) to illuminate my dogs' fenced in pay area. Wow ! The play area looks like a football field or tennis court at night. My dogs love to run around and play fetch with me in the evenings after I get home from work. The lit up area is so bright and the light is like daylight. It is such a natural colored light. I highly recommend these LED lights for barn lights or yard area lights.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!

This is one fantastic little light! It was easy to install and emits the most beautiful white light-- not blue, not yellow, just a perfect white light. It was perfect for our needs- and we have been so pleased with it that we ordered another one just in case anything happens to this one (like unexpected hail or something). The company was super fast to ship as well. FIVE STARS ALL AROUND!
