Great product at a great price, I like it.

Useful for bike commuters and anyone needing to mark something for night visibility

First, a bit of background: I’ve been bike commuting to work for a few years, in a few different cities. Regardless of location, if you think you’re visible enough - you’re not. I’m lit up like a Christmas tree with LEDs and I’ve still been struck by drivers in a hurry and cut off by careless bike riders. So I figured I’d look into getting reflective tape - reflective material's come a long way the past few years, and I’ve noticed the newest safety vests even work during the day. I got this tape primarily for my helmet and bike. It had to be wide enough to be useful, long enough to last a few applications (i.e. with replacement helmets/new bikes), and cheap enough that I felt comfortable experimenting. This tape seems to fit the bill! Application: the tape has a plastic covering, so it seems at least a bit weather-resistant. The glue backing is tacky and adheres well to plastic and metal. It separates easily using just your fingers. You can see from the pictures that it handles curved surfaces reasonably well (e.g. downtubes on my bike, sides of my helmet). Visibility: I took pictures in my bathroom with the lights on and off. With a point source (camera flash, flashlight/headlights), the effect is striking. With more broad/diffuse light (turning on the lights, during the day), it’s obviously less effective. Durability: TBD, I’ll update this review if the tape suddenly fails in the rain or something. But the build quality is encouraging. The only con I can think of is that this tape is not suitable for fabric or anything that will bend often. So it won’t be good for making a DIY safety vest or lining your backpack without planning beforehand.
