Excellent!

It has been a great addition to my camping trailer. Going out camping in the summer is great but it gets so humid inside when I have the trailer parked. Every day I empty out the water that accumulates, it has been working like a charm. The main thing I was afraid of was getting dangerous mold inside. This dehumidifier gives me the peace of mind that the inside of my mobile home will maintain its good condition.

Good so far

This mini dehumidifier has been running smoothly since I got it a few weeks ago. I live in a very humid environment and my apartment is old with poor ventilation. I use a beefy 30-pint dehumidifier in my living room and this little unit in my bedroom. A couple years ago, I bought a used unit that looked exactly like this and the fan stopped working after about three months. I decided to buy this Pohl+Schmitt based on the reviews here and since it is supposed to be Swiss made with better components. Echoing another reviewer, I was also disappointed to see that this unit is not made in Switzerland like the listing on amazon shows. However, it is working fine so far and collecting excess water/moisture as it should. Just plug it in and flip the switch on and it will do its job until the little bucket at the bottom fills with water, at which point it will auto shut-off on its own. These little units are best suited for small bedrooms/bathrooms/closets. They do not have a compressor or a removable filter like a real dehumidifier, so they take longer to fill up and won't work very well for large areas/rooms/basements with major humidity problems. You need to invest in a real dehumidifier that can pull a large amount of air/moisture for those areas in your home. If you cannot afford a larger dehumidifier with a compressor, I recommend using this unit in conjunction with other moisture reducing products such as DampRid, EvaDry, etc. and you will have better results at reducing humidity levels.

Somehow we ended up buying a house that didn’t have a fan in the bathroom (wtf). We purchased this little humidifier and it has worked flawlessly! It literally makes no noise so I forget it’s even there. It also collects a lot of moisture which is exactly what we needed it for. We leave it run 24/7. We’ve had it for a couple weeks now and haven’t had any issues with it.

Nice, sturdy unit

I’m using this in my approximately 75sf bathroom. It’s humid here in Texas (duh) and when it rains, the house feels wet. I didn’t mind until I had a few mold incidents. Not in the walls, but on things, like a toilet seat cover and a slow cooker that I had stored in my pantry with the lid on. I bough two small ones to test out using a dehumidifier before I spent hundreds of dollars on a big one. I think this is a bit sturdier with a better on/off switch than the other one I bought, a COSVII. But both units work well. It’s truly whisper quiet. It’s definitely pulling moisture out of the air. It’s easy to pull out the water container. You have to pop up the rubber stopper to pour the water out. I have had it running all day and night for a few days now. It’s not overheating. I do give it a few minutes rest now and again. In any case, good for small spaces, like a bathroom, small bedroom, or pantry. If you have a whole house or basement moisture issue, buy a large one. In fact, if you live in a high-humid area, I would use it before you start seeing mold. Recommended.

So, it's tiny! Small, but mighty!

I just want folks to know that this dehumidifier is very small. Make sure you look at the dimensions before buying! That said, I am very pleased with this product. It fits in my small space and has been pulling out water. Long story short, the water heater burst in my apartment and even though I'm on the 3rd floor, it was smelling like a basement in there. The landlord replaced the water heater and treated the mildew and I've been using this little unit to pull out any remaining dampness. It's great for small spaces like my water heater/laundry "closet." :-)

Everything you'd want in a dehumidifier!

I have been completely happy with this dehumidifier. I have a small and unfortunately damp old house and I am totally amazed how both quiet and efficient this dehumidifier works in my office. I have another small dehumidifier in my bedroom, different brand, and while it also works fine, this one is quieter. I usually run it for 12 hours during the day and get 1/4 cup of water in the tank. I have been able to lower my RH to below 60% from over 70% which is a near miracle in rainy Oregon in the winter in a poorly insuIulated house!!! As for any negative reviews,then those customers are do not understand RH and how dehumidifiers work. Many factors come into play. And they have quick and very helpful customer service if you ever have a problem or question.

This thing is amazing!

Its compact, practically silent and works like a dream. I live in GA and bought this for my closet because there is alot of moisture in there and I was tired of buying disposable moisture absorbers. The photo attacked is after one day running and has since pulled even more moisture out of the air. I will be buying another for my pantry. Great product for the price.

Small but Mighty! Running 24/7 since Nov 2019 and not a single issue

My headline kinda said it all. I use this in my closet as even though it is insulated, the wet northern Ca weather wrecks havoc inside homes and my shoes were starting to get a little mold on them and the closet smelled musty. I purchased this one based on the reviews and price and I am glad I did. My research paid off. I purchased on Nov. 4, 2019 and it has been running non-stop ever since. I have dumped the water at least a dozen times. Love that it stops automatically when full. No more mold, no more musty smell. The unit is behind a thin closet door, about 5 feet away from where I sleep and I can only barely hear it if super quiet and even then it is hard to hear. Love this little dehumidifier and feel like I did good buying this particular brand and model.

Perfect for cabinet humidor

I live the in the Southeast where it gets pretty humid in the warmer months. My cabinet humidor was reaching up into the 80% range and I started to see mold spots on a couple of my cigars... no good! I tried beads, silica kitty litter, all the tricks but nothing brought the humidity down. I stuck this little guy in there and everything was back to normal overnight. It has a physical on/off switch so I am able to use it with a smart plug and turn it on automatically when my humidity sensor goes above 70%. It's whisper quiet and the collection tank is a good size. For reference, I'm using this in an enclosed cabinet that is 42" wide x 72" high x 16" deep or roughly 28 cubic feet.

Perfect for musty dank closets!

Wow, I am amazed by these little guys! I didn’t want to leave a review until I at least tried them so I hooked them up in my two problem closets. For some reason and I don’t know why two of the closets in my house are very damp I spend so much money on drying products and i have other plug in type Damp remover’s with the little beads in them that remove moisture. The problem with those is, it takes no time for the beads to be completely damp again but it takes days for them to dry out. Plus you have to plug them in a wall socket to dry the little beads inside. it’s just a pain. I checked both closets running these for 24 hours and there is an at least an inch of water in both machines! These little babies are so convenient because all you do is plug them in. No more buying refills or charging beads dehumanizing machines. The two dehumidifiers were inexpensive, quiet but very efficient! I am very pleased.
