Solid product

I purchased this because it was the best combination of high reviews and lowest price. It works great and easily. The ice pellets are hollow which we love and also the ice is not rock hard so it's easy to chew. The instruction manual also provided some good laughs at the obvious language barrier in translating from Chinese to English. Overall, very pleased.

Good machine for the money.

My ice maker broke so I bought this. This machine makes cubes quick and it's very easy to use. Be patient..the first few times ice comes out they are small. After about the third time they are bigger,though the large is about half the size of a regular cube. That works for me. Also do not fill water to max line because the cubes will sit in water and melt. All in all this machine works well.

UPDATE: I am raising my rating from 4 to 5 stars after a few days with this. One aspect of the design that had implications that were not obvious at first is the fact that the water reservoir catches water as the ice in the basket melts. This turns out to be important. It means you can fill the reservoir with water (about 2 liters) and just leave it running. After the basket fills up, it shuts off. If you use some of the ice, it runs some more. BUT... If you just leave it alone, the ice melts enough to lower the level and trigger ice making again. Until it is full again. In practice, this means you can just leave it running, even overnight, and come back to a basket full of ice. Obviously, as you USE ice, eventually there is not enough water to make a full basket but that just means it keeps cycling with what water it has. Once you add water, it goes back to keeping the basket full. The amount of water held by the reservoir seems to be good for 3 to 4 baskets of ice - maybe more. You don't have to fill it that often. If you do want to turn it off, the ice all eventually melts. But, the water is in the reservoir and ready to turn into ice again when you want. The only minor gotchas are: (1) The low water red led looks just like the basket full one and I didn't realize at first that it was the one that was showing when I first needed to add water (2) Sometimes the ice piles up near the back and causes it to think the basket is full when there is still room. You just don't have quite as much ice made when that happens. When you brush the ice forward it takes off making more ice. This is FAR more usable than I expected for such a low price. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I got this because it was about the least expensive of these countertop ice makers that got mostly good reviews. At $127.99 total, I figured it was worth a shot. It's nicer than I expected and as said in the headline, the very first batch of ice came out in 16 minutes with a second one in less than 8 minutes. These are the Large "bullets", which are not very large but good enough. The picture with the glass is just the ice from the first run. I put water from our reverse osmosis filter in there and the ice is very clear. I did NOT let this sit an hour because I didn't see that at first. But it was sitting upright for at least 15 minutes before I plugged it in.

WOW I LOVE THIS LITTLE MONSTER!

This portable ice machine works like a monster. I'm so glad I purchased this one. I don't know why a few negative reviews but you have to follows the instructions like once you recieve this products let it sit upright for at least 2 hours, clean inside & boom you can start making ice! I used the large setting for my ice. Not to mention how fast this machine makes your ice. The pic I posted with ice bag is how much it made ice with 4 water bottles (buying gallon bottles to use instead). I recommend this portable ice machine if you are on the fence about getting one.

Nice looking, fast and quiet ice maker

Well, delivery was amazingly quick. This was great as we will bring it along in the RV this weekend. This ice maker is wonderful; just as advertised! We cleaned the unit as instructed and filled with bottled water; filled a gallon ziplock bag in an hour or less, it’s quiet and fast. The cube sizes are perfect, too. I give 5-stars with this initial use and hope there will be no changes in my review, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very fast, quieter than expected

Super easy to use and it made 2 glasses of ice in about 6 minutes. We use bottled water and the ice was perfect. The hollow bullet shape does melt faster than chunk ice, but I knew that going in. We bought this on the recommendation of a friend for use in our RV. I watched other campers making an "ice run" while ours just kept going and going and going. We put extra in a bucket in the freezer. We are super happy with everything about this unit.

IKICH Portable Ice Maker Machine for Countertop

Wonderful machine! Attractive sitting on my countertop. Always ready to add water and make ice when unexpected guests arrive, or if one has a party, you can start early in the day making ice cubes, putting them in zip lock bags and throw them in the freezer. These are a hollow ice cube that is made is about 7 minutes. 8 cubes are popped out every 7 minutes or so until the hopper is full then the light comes on to warn you to dump the hopper. As soon as it is dumped and replaced, the machine continues to make ice without you having to do anything more....until it runs out of water at which time a light will tell you to add water. Walla! All there is to it! These cubes are perfect for those who love to chew on ice. Not as "hard" as a normal ice cube. They cool drinks twice as fast as well. I would recommend it over and over.

Works great!

I bought this because I drink a lot of ice water. Our ice maker in the fridge was not working well and I thought this would also be great to take in the camper. It came over the weekend and we tried it out- what fun. The kids like watching it drop the ice. I read a lot of reviews on other ice makers before I decided on this one. This is easy to clean, ice doesn't get caught for false full readings. It drops ice approximately every 8 minutes. I turned it on Sunday morning and by lunch I had already emptied the basket 3 times after it was full. Yes the ice is kind of wet when it's dumped, but the loads are small enough that every time I dumped a basket, I simply banged the dish on the counter to break up the last batch then added the new. Great buy!

Very useful

Now we are not running out of ice anymore. There are 11 of us and the ref ice reservoir is not enough for our daily needs. A little noisy but very tolerable. Great deal.

Works Great

Functions as advertised. I have spent a fortune on replacing the ice maker in my Samsung refrigerator. They design the ice maker to fail. I bought this ice maker for less than the cost of replacing one of the Samsung replacement ice maker units - of which all three have failed. This small separate ice maker produces lots of ice in a short time which I store in the refrigerator ice bucket and use the refrigerator ice dispenser to provide ice as needed.
