If you need to PERMANENTLY seal something onto your boat ...
If you need to PERMANENTLY seal something onto your boat, this is what you need! Do not use it for anything that you want to remove in the future.

Good stuff
Some strong stuff! Used it to put fittings on a 40gal live well. This stuff is basically part of the live well now. The fittings are going to break before this stuff comes off. To say the least I am impressed. Was so impressed I found another use... I had an access hatch for my boat that was leaking. I put some of this around it and now you can consider it part of my boat and it doesn’t leak anymore. Just don’t want to get too messy when applying but if you do get it all over you can clean it right away but once it drys good luck cause you ain’t got a chance podna.

Perfect for marine use
I've used this adhesive on a couple different applications and both have worked well for me. I used this to attach a couple of skeg bases on my kayak that had tracking problems. Originally, I used Flex Glue which didn't work very well, so I tried this and after allowing it to cure for 7 days, it has formed a permanent bond to the kayak. I could probably lift up the entire kayak by the skegs without having them rip off. The other application was to fill the hole that I drilled to run the power cable for my fish finder through the battery box. No, I haven't tried submerging it in water, but the adhesive filling has held up without issue and all of the moving around of the cable has not caused any issue. Again, I initially tried Flex Glue for this as well and the movement of the cable over time caused the Flex Glue to peel away. Not with the 3M marine adhesive though. I only wish this came in a clear color. Mine was black but at least it works

Single use tube! Open this tube, use the sealant and be prepared to throw the rest out.
This is a fantastic adhesive sealant but it is expensive and single use tube. You can keep it for a few days but it really doesn't hold up after it is open. It is fairly thin, much like a self leveling caulk. If you apply it to a vertical surface or gap and it will run. I've heard people say you can refrigerate it but I haven't tried it. I think this is the slow cure version. There is a blue tube version that I think is a faster cure version and is a little thicker. The blue tube is more like caulk than this (red) tube.

Worked as expected
Works great, used to seal holes in planter pots to make fountains from. Sealed tight but took a while to dry.

TX Yamaha In-Hull Xducer Installation
I used the 5200 Marine adhesive/sealant to install the in-hull Garmin GT15M transducer in my 2011 Yamaha Waverunner. I prepared the area by roughing up the surface with sandpaper and then clean with rubbing alcohol. I let the 5200 Marine adhesive/sealant sit and cure for 7 days per 3M recommendation. So far it is a solid installation, no indication of leakage after 2 operation test run on the water in various water conditions.

What can you say - it's 3M 5200 - It sticks to things and NEVER lets go!
3M 5200 has always been an INCREDIBLE product. No matter what you apply it to (as long as it's clean and dry) it will never let go. I just wish it was available in smaller tubes (and priced proportionally - not more expensively) because once you open a tube of it there's no turning back and it can't be preserved for very long afterward. One of the most amazing adhesives out there!!!!!!

this stuff is ligit
I don't know what this is made of but it is strong. It takes a long time to cure but once it does, IT DOES. It forms like rubber but like highly dense and super flexible. It's worth every penny if you don't want water getting into your boat or whatever you're sealing with it.

Fantastic Sealer and adhesive
Have used 5200 before and loved it. Bought this tube to seal some leaks in my transom. '85 Starcraft Islander. Had a slow leak from several through bolts that had loosened over time. I tightened as best I could, cleaned the surrounding surface and dabbed some 5200 over the heads. Problem solved!

Great Adhesive!
This stuff works great. I used on a side panel of my boat and it held the panel on like it was on with bolts. I would recommend using gloves when using as it's tough to get off your hands
