I've tried a bunch: this is the one to buy

I've tried at least 3 different brands. This one is a bit more expensive than the others. But the quality! The sound is brilliant. The cheapest ones often don't let the phone functions (microphone, volume, pause) work. The not-as-cheap ones have really poor sound quality, including one that only functioned reasonably if you unplug it and plug it in again each time you use it. This one works the first time I plug it in. No clicking, no humming/buzzing. It fits snug in the lightning jack and doesn't come loose if I have the phone in my pocket. But the sound quality: I have expensive wired headphones and music that needs them. This is the only lightning adapter I've tried that does it justice. Don't waste money buying and returning junk. Learn from my experience and just buy this one.

Extremely durable adapter that works with microphones too!

This adapter is really well built, it looks like something anker would make. It’s very pretty too! I think this is definitely worth the money and will last for quite a while, certainly longer than the little Apple made one. It works great with headphone audio/mic and I use it with a standalone Boya lavalier mic using the filmic pro app and the audio in the videos sound great. It also works with siri when you double tap the button on apple headphones and on my skullcandy crusher over the ear headphones. I have another lightning to 3.5mm jack + USB adapter and double tapping the button on headphones doesn't trigger siri with that adapter, which is why I'm mentioning that it does work on this ugreen adapter. So yeah, definitely works in all the ways that I have tried using it with no problems at all. As of right now, this is the best braided lightning to headphone adapter available on Amazon that I could find from a reputable manufacturer. Anker makes one, but it's not braided, so that's why I picked this one.

Expensive but durable

I've already gone through one of these apple adapters by another company and it died after only 2 months. I decided to buy this one with a braided cable. Overall it seems pretty good, it's thick and tough. I use the KZ ZS10 Pros with it and the music seems to be bring in more bass with this adapter. I will update in a few months.

For my iPhone 11 Pro

I bought this for my iPhone 11 Pro. Tested it out with a phone call and it was clear sounding and the person on the other end was able to hear me clearly as well. It seems sturdy but time will tell. At this point, I am happy with my purchase.

Recommended headphone adapter works with IPhone X.

I ordered this adapter so I could use my existing headset with my new IPhone X. It arrived quickly with Prime and was packaged well. It has completely met all my expectations and works very well in allowing me to use a still very usable set of headphones for listening to my Audible books. I would recommend this adapter.

Costs more but totally worth it!

I bought several cheaper headphone adapters and they work … sometimes... this weekend I wanted to listen to music on my phone and … no sound. Finally got some if I held the cable just so... So I order this adapter -- WOW! Works great! Good connection, clear sound, and I can use it to make a phone call. Music sounds excellent, phone call was clear. It feels like very good quality material and came with a card that explains that it comes with a two year warranty. I am very pleased with this cable !! Glad I bought it.

Yayyyy! I can use my 3.5mm headphones with my iPhone!

I bought a really nice headset with a microphone to use for both work and play. It has a USB plug for my computer, but you can unplug the headset cord (a 3.5mm plug) from the headset controls and use it with headphone jacks, aux jacks, older cell phones, etc. I did this so I could use the same headset for calls through my laptop that doesn't have a headphone jack (Webex, Zoom, Hangouts) *and* my iPhone (with a Lightning adapter). Sounds like it should be easy, right? I can't tell you how many 3.5mm to Lightning adapters I bought trying to find one that would allow me to use both the audio *and* microphone features of my headset with my iPhone. Most of them would only allow me to hear audio - my microphone was rendered useless. This adapter is high quality, is clearly built to last, and most importantly, it *works* for two-way conversations. I really, deeply, truly wish Apple would go back to having a separate 3.5mm audio jack on their devices. Until they do, at least I have this adapter.

Great iPhone Accessory - Puts Back the Part Apple Removed

I quite like the fact that my iPhone XR now has the 3.5mm port that Apple (and the rest of the manufacturers) decided to remove so that new bluetooth accessories were required. The fact that this accessory is on the market is proof that not everyone desires to trash their previous investments in headphones. That said, this device is great! I unpacked this device, plugged my phones into the 3.5 mm jack and the lightning plug into my iPhone. All of 60 seconds later I was listening to my music. It is easy to use, seems well made and arrived quite quickly. In the past I have tried purchasing inexpensive adapters from EBAY and they either didn't work or got hot and quit. This one works well. I recommend this product!

Works, Solid Quality, and WAY Cheaper Than Airpods

I got this so I could use my old $14 skullcandy earbuds with my new iPhone since it doesn't have a headphone jack anymore. No way Apple is forcing me to buy stupid Airpods and the wired headphones that came with my phone are uncomfortable to the point that they seem medically unsafe (probably to try and make you buy other headphones). This adapter works, doesn't affect the sound quality at all in my observation, and I was actually incredibly impressed by how sturdy the cord seems (feels more like overlapping woven metal braids than rubber). It fits snuggly in the socket of both my phone and my headphones, and it hasn't gotten disconnected on accident ever (I use it at the gym to listen to music and have even for individual soccer training).

This WILL work for phone calls!!

I bought an iPhone 8 and needed to figure out how to use it with the aux cable in my car. I bought two other adapters which worked well.... music would play through my speakers but not phone calls. This defeats the object of plugging my phone into my car so I can talk hands free. No I don’t have bluetooth in my trusty and well loved 2007 XC70. Tried this one because other reviewers say it works .....IT DOES!!! I’m chuffed and will buy another one so I have a spare.
