CREATIVE GENIUS CAN OPENER

I bought this for a special needs friend who only has 1 arm/hand available. He loves it. Can easily open cans because it works all by itself with the touch of a button. Cuts around the side of the can so no troubles trying to get the cut lid out of the can which also takes 2 hands. Had it for 4 weeks thus far. This quality unit has restored his ability to do what he loves and that it cook! I am going to get one for myself!

GREAT for older citizens NEEDS!

Update of previous review...Could not get to work so I was preparing to return but decided to try once more...it worked perfectly! Have no idea what I did or didn't do originally, but it worked and I have been using steadily since. I had purchased 3, 2 as gifts...recipients have used them and work perfectly for them. We are all pleased with this opener and would certainly purchase more for gifts.

So far so great

I have to open prescription dog food everyday and I am SO glad I broke down and bought this opener. Keep in mind I've only used this a short time, but so far it works great! Very clean cut, no sharp jagged edges.

Impressed

I bought this for my mother, who has some problems with arthritis, and when we gathered around to see if it worked, we were all pretty impressed. It left the edge of the can crimped in a way that avoids those sharp edges, which I personally have been sliced by several times. At first it didn't seem like it was woeking, but then we lifted it and boom! Open can. I might get one for myself, honestly.

Really love this can opener

Works perfectly! When I need to open a can I just line it up on the edge, just set it on top at the rim of can and push the button on top. When it completes opening just hit button again and it reverses and stops. Lid comes off with clean edges, nothing sharp that could cut as you are removing lid. Have been using about two months and no problems. I recommend for anyone having trouble with other type of can openers or don't want to worry about edges that can cut you. And for ease of use!

A Hands Free Can Opener

The Kitchen Mama Yes You Can Electric Can Opener is a winner! The first hands free can opener I bought worked quietly, and was truly hands free. By hands free I mean you set it on the can, push the button, walk away and return when it stops. The edge is smooth on both the can lid and the can wall. Unfortunately I dropped it and bent the blade so it no longer took the lid off. The next one I bought was noisy, moved the can so it had to be held while cutting the lid off and left sharp edges. This one is similar to my first one except for stopping. I can live with that. It's a buy.

Portable battery operated can opener

I just recently bought this can opener and I really loved it. It's convenient, hassle free and not complicated to use you just simply push the button and let it do its magic. I am really satisfied and would recommend this to my friends and family

Arthritis didn't see this can opener coming.

I bought this for my mother and she is so excited to finally have a can opener that doesn't have a huge list of directions (or buttons), is light, and effortless to use. It's even easier to use than a standard plugin can opener for her due to severe arthritis in her wrists. I may have to get one for myself now! The only thing it's missing is a litter pincher or design element built in to lift up the lid. (my manual crank version of this style of opener comes with a little pincher claw to lift up on the lid). I tried this new opener of hers and the lid WAS easy to lift up for me, but I told her to use gloves to pop it open just in case any areas were sharp because it lifts the entire lid.
