Great tool -- Amazing Customer Service (updated 2019-1028)

This is a great addition to a toolkit...I had one that was over 30 years old and well, difficult to read the numbers so a new one was in order. I spotted this one and decided to purchase it over other brands. No particular reason except maybe I am partial to mustaches. I used it for a few hours the other day for marking/measuring lumber for picture frames I was making. Then, my 4 yr old granddaughter wanted to use it to make lines on some scrap lumber I gave her to play with. Found out soon enough, the tool is not child proof as she managed to take it apart and loose the spring that holds down the ruler to the handle. But, all it took was a call to Mr. Pen and Eric said he would put a spring in the mail to me so I can use the tool again. That's good customer service. Today, in the mail, I thought the spring we lost was in the package from Mr. Pen. I was totally wrong. What they sent me was a BRAND NEW COMBINATION SQUARE. How's that for amazing customer service. As far as I am concerned, if I am in need of additional products and Mr. Pen has it on their web site, I guarantee I will order it from.

It is and holds true square

If you check the QA section, you'll find a question I posed. Since asking that question, and getting an affirmative reply from Mr. Pen, I ordered and have received the combination square. On receiving it, I verified square both a speed square (previously verified as well), and by squaring it against a finished edge, drawing a line, flipping the tool and redrawing along the same line, no discernible difference. I've used it on a few projects now and rechecked, no change. Finally found a combination square I can trust! Excellent value.

Nice T-Square

I purchased ruler because I was looking for a 12-inch metal T-Square for graphite pencil sketching and I didn't want to pay $$ for the privilege. I really don't have any complaints about the ruler, but I will say that the adjustable square is dicey--you really have to pay attention to where the ruler is in the slot because if it isn't precisely where it should be then the pin won't completely secure it. Other than that, it's much bang for the buck.

Good combination square.

I had been avoiding buying one of these. Well, that's not entirely true. Up until now, I guess I just didn't see it as a need. Now it is a great addition to my tools. What I was pleasantly surprised by is there is a built in scoring point in the bottom of the handle. You don't even need a pencil.

This saved my day, and my money!

I'm not a master craftsman by any means, yet I was building a 7 ft long cutting jig that needed to be spot on. I needed this tool to make sure that all the pieces were cut and placed at the proper depth/angle. I'm starting a new business and spending too much money is lethal. As I shopped for value, I came across Mr. Pen's offering. Problem solved! Shipped quick and ready to do the job. Now that the project is successfully finished and PERFECT, I am up and running and I have this helper ready for the next challenge. Thank you Mr. Pen and crew!

rock solid

Not very often do I order something and it exceeds expectations so much. This ruler/square combo is very heavy for its size and feels quite sturdy. The adjustment nut feels fluid and strong. In all, the thing is exactly what I needed and so much better than I expected especially for the low price.

Great value and quality

Very happy with my combination square. I have been replacing all my interior doors. I use it for installing the casing around the door. I mark the corners and ends and have a perfect reveal around the door frame. Seems built very solid. I can't find much wrong with this square. For the price it's hard to beat.

Just what I wanted!!

Perfect slide square/level! The numbers on one side are quite small, but in my project lamp light, I should be able to read them no problem. Well-made, very sturdy metal... will last me my lifetime! ❤️ Thanks Mr Pen!

Nice value, great mustache.

Extremely excited about this combination square. It has provided reliable measurements for my various tasks. The mustache sticker that came with it is an unexpected surprise and now rests on the hood of my car, giving my little spark a touch of class.

Definitely needed a new square...this one is nice!

Well made quality square. Easy to read numbers. I like the way the scoring-tool threads into the square making it much less likely to fall out or become lost...as happened to my old one which did NOT have that feature.
