Great little product. Works great for my husband when he's working on stereo installs. Is small enough that it fits in his small tool box and doesnt take alot of space. So far has continued to show constant and accurate readings

Small and easy to use. A little tricky to figure out how to get the batteries in.

I've used decibel meters for industrial safety purposes before. This would be acceptable for that type of use. I bought this to measure the loudness of my camping generator. It works great for that.

I literally got this so I could tell my kids when they were being too loud. I'm not even kidding!! Now, if I ask them to turn down the music, use an inside voice, etc I can say "do I have to get out the decibel meter?!" Coincidentally, they like to use it to see who can be the loudest. :) I also use it to show them when they need to use earplugs outside. They like to help- lawn mowing, weed wacking, blowing out the garage, etc- and I don't want them to ruin their hearing. Now I can show them that it really IS that loud and can hurt your ears. I would totally recommend this to parents. Also, to teachers...is that really a level 2 voice? You could have a chart with actual voice level numbers!!

Bought this to make sure my husbands new exhaust system wasn’t too loud, as well as the pipes on his motorcycle. Loud pipes save lives... but too loud and you get a ticket! Works great. Gives consistent readings over and over again so I genuinely believe it’s accurate!

Got it to tell if the vibes 'sax partner' sax mute worked and it did. The Decibel meter read 30-40 in a bathroom with barely any sound, 50-65 with conversation, 70-75 with the TV, 95-105 with the saxophone by itself and 75-90 with the sax mute. Min / Max worked good.
