This has been THE BEST hat for our toddler. It fits well, is comfortable, keeps the sun off her face, scalp, ears, neck, back and chest, and most importantly it stays on (even when it’s windy.) Two-year-old approved and she can easily put it on and take it off herself. This has saved her from sunburns and is a quick alternative to a sunscreen battle. It also goes with everything (we got the solid, light pink one.) Oh, and machine washes and dries well.
This sunhat is perfect. The big, wide brim more than covers her whole face, plus her shoulders and upper arms. The drawstring allows it to fit even the smallest baby's head, our little one started wearing it at 4 months. We were able to tighten the drawstring enough for it to fit perfectly on her, and it could definitely have gone smaller yet. If it gets wet, it dries very quickly in the sun. Getting it wet makes the brim extra floppy, which I've seen some complaints about in other reviews, but this hat has never hung down in front of her face, she's always able to see. The only negative I have are the ties for under the chin. It doesn't stay tied because our daughter loves to pull on it and play with it (as babies will) - I'm half tempted to cut them off because, unless there's a stronger wind, the hat doesn't come off on it's own.

I do highly recommend this hat though and really wish I play would make this is larger sizes because again, it's a fabulous hat. We enjoyed being able to have my daughter wear this while in the pool because we found that getting it wet would keep her cool, having it on protected her from the sun and once off this material dries VERY quickly. I am so glad, because it is hard to find a wide-brimmed sun hat that fits my 3-year-old, who is the size of your average kindergartener! I do think that this hat is a more feminine style, so it may not be ideal for little boys, but ultimately that would be a personal style choice. :-)
It’s not easy putting a hat on a three month old but if you have to do it this works. It gave her shade and fit well and looks well made. I didn’t tie the strings often because I had her in a carrier and i wanted to be able to put on and take off as needed. Seems like it will only last one season but considering the importance I guess it offsets the cost.

The canvas/cotton type material is sturdy and not flimsy. Definitely a great buy and I plan to use it with my youngest son as well.

Our family has a history with skin cancer so the girls wear these on the beach and whenever they are out in the sun playing. They offer good sun protection and the tie keeps them from blowing away in the wind. We had them monogrammed, and they look really cute on the girls. I plan to order another set for them in a second color.
In my experience babies don't wear hats unless they are tied on. This hat not only has the ties under the chin which work perfectly, it also has an adjustable tightening elastic around the head where the hat and the brim come together. It looks adorable and more importantly, it does the job of keeping sun off babys face, head and shoulders. Highly recommended. It fits my one year old who has an average size head, and it would fit him great if he had a small head or a big head. In addition, the bright orange color is easy to pick out quickly. A big plus for a parent of 5 Littles with lots to keep eyes on. *update Baby is now 2 years old and the hat shows no signs of wear and still fits great! I can see it fitting well for at least 2 more years however he'll be able to untie it then lol
