Easy to play musical instrument

Like most people, it was my first meeting with a thumba piano, kalimba. I've never played a piano instrument thinking it was way too hard to try. I want to start by saying that it's not that hard. I learned one simple song really on the first day. Everyone who dosen't have any basic knowledge of music can learn to play kalimba, even kids, it will be a good start for them to training music perception. At that price range, you may have several broad choices. For me, I got hooked up with the bright color and many freebies to make it easier to learn. The red/ green stickers to place on the tines to help accurately recall the position of all tone in the kalimba. The instruction book explains all of the basics like care, tuning, reading tabs, and playing songs. I downloaded the insTuner and recognized that it came almost in tune, impressive. Regardless of your experience with pianos or guitars, as kalimba has its specialized tablature, and it's easy to read. The kalimba itself is beautiful and sounds great, though it took a bit patience to learn how to strengthen my finger and extend my reach. My 2 years old boy loves it too. The sound makes him happy. Sometimes he cry and will be fascinated by the sound and soon stop crying. I am looking forward to teach him kalimba when he's older.

Nice sound quality, easy to play

The instrument is cute and nice in the sound quality. I’ve tried playing some tunes on it and it sounded very beautiful. I enjoyed playing it. BTW it contains a lot stuff in the package including thumb protectors but I feel good just playing with my bare fingers.

It’s just so fun to play and so easy to learn. The sound is also very nice, a lot better than music boxes which I thought it would sound like.

Well engineered and built, no complains. I searched online for Kalimba music notations and am on my way on learning some very lovely songs on this amazing instrument. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I was able to play it.

It's fun to play with

I have never heard about the Thumb Piano before until my wife told me that she wants to buy this and it is fun. It is fun actually to play it, and just feel amazing on how could it work. The study book comes with it helps me a lot.
