Before, We had to pour the feeding mixture into the hive and let the bees take it to the rest of the bees. it required suiting up and smoking the bees to calm them before they could be fed. With these new feeders, it's much easier and doesn't have to be done nearly as often. We built bigger boxes and have a lot more bees now, so convenience and time saving is a big help.
