The inventor of this product overcame the moronic stylings of Ram and Cummins
This is some of the best money I have ever spent. Anyone who has ever tried to change the oil filter on a 6.7 Cummins will understand. There is nothing quite like the rush of rage and desire you get to punch an automotive design engineer in the face when you remove a filter full of oil and figure out that you have to tilt it 90 degrees and dump oil all over yourself and the ground in order to remove it from the vehicle. Seriously, what kind of 3rd grade educated nimrod did they let decide where the oil filter would go on this engine? Luckily some genius came up with this product and saved all of us from fits of rage and cussing whilst changing the oil in our trucks.

handy tool, and i'm a certified technician.
for a while i did oil changes without one of these and believe me, you'll wish you had one of these if you continue to do them without it. the threads taper toward the end so the tool aids in cross thread prevention so that it should continue to perform well for some time. the tool holds all the oil in the filter so you aren't getting it all over your frame and suspension or burning your hands with hot nasty diesel oil. if you do oil changes on cummins often, buy one and don't regret it. even if you only do your own oil changes and rarely use it, it's still worth it.

Not a gimmicky hunk of junk
I thought this was going to be a waste of money. Long story short, I didn’t get any oil anywhere because this thing works like it’s supposed to work. I was dubious when I saw it. Didn’t think it would keep all the old oil in the filter, figured some would leak out. Not a drop. So, in my humble opinion, if you change your own oil, don’t want oil getting everywhere, on everything, and don’t mind spending about $10 to keep it that way, this plug fits the bill. Well worth the money I spent, to keep everything contained.

If you change your own oil this tool is a must.
Every time I change the oil on my Ram pickup I always spill oil from the filter when I remove it. You have to turn the filter on it's side to remove it, thus spilling the oil out making a mess. This simple product is great. Just unscrew your filter, drop it down holding it straight up, screw the oil plug into the filter and no more spills. Works in the reverse when putting your new filter on. Fill your filter up about 3/4 of the way. Screw the plug into the filter. Get it in place, take the plug out and install your new filter. No more spills.

Make things a lot less messy!!
Works great. Another friend was helping me and also has the Cummins diesel. He thought it was great and went home and ordered one.

Absolutely essential accessory for changing the oil in your Cummins diesel
Unless you like spilling oil all over the engine bay driveway and frame of your truck this is a must have product when changing the oil on a Cummins motor! This is a pretty high quality oil filter plug and we'll save tons of headache and clean up time.

Must have.
Still need to drop filter in a ziplock back, little still comes out, but 100 times easier to change the filter. Very sturdy. I still cant figure out why the put the filter where they did but this makes life allot easier. I mean allot easier.

Must have
Must have to keep from making a mess while changing the Oil in a Ram 6.7 Cummins. Not 1 drop got spilled from the filter and it came out easily through the wheel well without taking off the Air Intake as other have suggested.

The plug
The plug worked exactly as promised. Well worth the tiny investment.

A must-have!
As a dealer technician, this is a must have! Instead of tipping the filter over and creating a mess, causing a loss of time for clean up, this just screws right in and keeps the oil inside the filter. A need for anyone with a newer Cummins!
