I bought these headlamps for my girls (8 and 5) to use when we go camping. They are lightweight - and very bright. Very easy for the girls to use and adjust to their size. They do each take 3 AAA batteries - I always have extra batteries on hand - see kids above - LOL. Still, I really like when electronics come with batteries so you don’t have to go find your own. At this price, though, I wouldn’t expect that. So in sum, nice lightweight bright easy to use headlamps.

I own several different headlamp flashlights of various sizes and brightnesses. This particular model (GearLight LED Headlamp Flashlight S500) is lightweight and compact, but still is plenty bright. I could see these being a good option for a variety of uses from somebody walking/jogging at night, to working in a dark space (plumbing under cabinet, etc.). They use 3 AAA batteries. For the price of a 2 pack ($10 at time of review) it's tough to go wrong.

These headlamps are very nice with both white and red options. Easy to use and lightweight. They do require 3 aaa batteries, but even with the batteries it is still very comfortable. I do not think they would withstand strong weather conditions, but for use tinkering around the house they are great!

This headlamp lights your way at night with a white light -- but also offers red light mode as well. Why would you want this? Because red light can help you preserve your low light vision at night. It's a very capable headlamp with a little something extra.

I've started camping a lot and use this along with my power bank to survive in the woods. I really wish these were either rechargeable or batteries were included. Regardless, the headband is really comfortable and the light is really bright. An awesome feature is you can actually angle the light down while its on your head. Overall, really like this light. FYI - you can also use it on your leg or arm. The band is adjustable.

I bought these for my wife and I to have in our daypacks while hiking. I have only tested them around the house and the light output is impressive. The headband feels comfortable and easily adjustable. Time will tell how long the last. I will say that their customer service is on point. One light had a defective switch (it happens), contacted them via email and they shipped a replacement the same day. A refreshing experience. Thank you GearLight!

This headlight is very light but it is very bright when selected the last option. It also have the red light which will be useful when going camping. The only problem that it uses 3 AAA batteries instead of rechargeable batteries but overall it is ok.

This is very lightweight. Adding the batteries does make it a little heavier than it is in our of the package, but this is still a lightweight product and even kids should have no problem using this headpiece. It requires three AAA batteries. It's best to get rechargable batteries and save yourself done hassle. But thus light is a good one and great to take with you for many types of outdoor activities. You can even put your arm through and have it around one of your shoulders of you don't want it on your head.

My 3 year old always asks to play with my headlamp so I figured id buy him his own. I didn't expect much out of these for the price, but I was blown away when I put batteries in. These lights are incredibly bright and lightweight. The light offers low, medium, high and strobe for the white LED and turns on with low mode first which I really like. The red LEDs offer "on", SOS, and strobe. Build quality seems solid. The band is comfortable and I was able to adjust it small enough for my son as well as myself. The red LEDs are a great extra feature and are very bright as well. I haven't been able to test battery life yet, but I'm sure it's decent. Will definitely look for more lights from this company.
