This adapter is awesome. Along with it you need the ipad (I have an ipad air 2) charging cable; and an HDMI to HDMI cable (if your TV/monitor has an HDMI port). An HDMI cable and this adapter will carry both video and sound from the ipad to the monitor. You can stream YouTube videos (or display anything on the ipad) to your TV. As I don't pay for any other form of TV (I use over the air antenna for local stations) this has been a great way to watch online shows and movies. And I occasionally do business presentations using my ipad to a larger monitor also. Great for traveling and hooking up to TVs in hotels or at friend's houses. I need to flip the ipad longways for the picture to display in 1080p or 16:9; otherwise the display on the TV is very narrow. The display is very good and crisp assuming you have a decent TV or monitor. Since I am on the go most of the time, and have to take my ipad with me anyways for work/email/etc, I find this more convenient and easier to use than an Fire Stick or a Roku device. Have been using this successfully for a couple of week now.

Almost no transmission delay between iPad and projector. No need to bring a laptop to meetings any more, I just need an iPad and this adapter. Plug in and it echoes the iPad screen to the projector or monitor to allow display of documents, animations, anything that shows on the iPad screen really. To make sure that I have a document available on my iPad, I generally e-mail it to myself (or keep colleague's e-mails with attachments in an online folder), then use the built-in iPad viewers in the mail app to display the document.To use another app, tap and hold the document in the mail app to see a list of icons for the apps that can open the document, then tap the required icon. Since the display on the projector/monitor is an echo of what's on the iPad, everybody will be able to see what you type, including passcodes and passwords. Just unplug the adapter or HDMI cable when you're typing anything sensitive!

IT WORKS WITH GAMES LIKE CLASH OF CLANS AND YOUTUBE VIDEOS

It is a good cable i got it for chrismas and i love it i use it to watch videos i downloaded from youtube and you can play any game u want i play clash of clans and minecraft and it works great good quality. It cost a little bit to much but it is totaly worth it And say u watch a music videos or anything or playing a gane the sound comes from the tv not the phone i have a iphone 5 so get it is awesome.

Its a pretty cool adapter

Love this product, was worried it would be a copy but is an offical Thor Technology Adapter product. Works perect with the HDMI cable I had already bought so now I can wire my iphone up to the TV no problem. You can even charge your iphone while it's connected to this. The quality of the product is very good, when I connect it to the phone it displays the image of the phone in the tv. You can also play a movie, play mobile games and the tv displays the gameplay so everyone can see the image instead of a small phone screen. When you watch the movie or video the quality is very good. Here is why I recommend this product: If you are on limited, slow data or wifi this makes perfect sense to purchase. You can do everything with the lightening cable that you can do with air play. The only down size to the cable is that we have to sit close to the TV while maneuvering but when there is no internet/data this product does make good sense to have. I recommend this item.

This is an awesome tv adapter

Oh this is such a wonderful gadget! I can now use my iPhone to connect to larger screens for presentations. This comes conveniently with an extra lighting port for charging while it's connected. I do a LOT of presenting (and traveling) for my job. And I was tired of carrying my brick of a corporate laptop. I did a test run on my ipad, and discovered that I could present from it. But I needed a way to use projectors/ TVs in different clients offices. This works perfectly, is seamless, and most folks are slightly blown away that i'm able to use my ipad. I would recommend buying this one... That way you're covered for nearly all screen scenarios.

Great product

I bought a projector to be able to watch movies outside but needed an adapter to use with my iphone. Because apparently I can only download movies to my phone. I connected quickly and was able to connect my movie and use my bluetooth speaker to watch a movie anywhere. I love this. It's small and very effective. I have purchased one for each of us. This allows you to mirror your iPhone or iPad on your tv. I watch movies with it. Just be sure to turn off your notifications or else it will disturb whatever you are displaying.but I'm still happy with my purchase.

I like this HDMI cable for iPhone because it allows me to watch what I have on my iPhone. We went on a weekend getaway and I was easily able to connect my iPhone to the TV inside our hotel room. My iPhone 7plus was easily able to navigate and switch between YouTube. This save us some money ordering a movie or pay per view on the hotel TV. This became one of the essential travels must have on my list when going out of town. My family were impressed to share what I'm watching on my iPhone. The cord is not bulky at all and easy to pack. I feel like I'm starting to watch everything on my TV instead on my iPhone. A good solid product that works fine.lthough audio and subtitles still work.In some paid apps，Apparently due to video content protection rules and/or agreements with the content providers. But it works great for the apps that it is compatible with. Just make sure you know that you won't be able to use it to stream some of the most popular video services before you make a decision to purchase it or not. Works excellent .If u have a iPhone and want to stream to TV using HDMI this is a MUST have for traveling or watching movies at friends and family's house. If u don't have air play available a must have item...

Great durable product and nice design.

I was recommended this cable by a friend to help stream content from my phone to my TV. It has worked really well so far and has been a great buy. However, I would recommend reading the guidelines here first before buying as it won't do certain things which is fair enough, but it's great for watching videos recorded on your phone.Still worth it though for the great price. if you're looking to buy this then it's fair to assume that you're after a cheaper way to go than an Apple TV. The hardware seems well made and setup was very easy. The cable worked well for me on my iPad and my iPhone X.. Again very useful if you don't have Apple TV or no wifi and it is a secure direct connection with the TV.

I have actually had to purchase this product twice, because we lost our first one. I initially purchased this product so that we could connect our iPhone and iPad to my husbands ASUS projector. It is very simple as all you do is plug the HDMI cord into one end and the other into your Apple product. While I do feel that this is a costly product it is a necessity if you would like to connect your Apple products to a projector or TV or any other viewing device. Once we paired it with the projector we also learned how to connected to the TV which mirrored whatever device we were looking at. All in all I think this thing is pretty awesome.

Arrived on time and works well.

I was looking for a way to put my iPhone images and videos on the TV for the family to see without having to transfer them. I was pleasantly surprised at just how easy it turned out to be. I just connect one end of a spare HDMI cable to the TV, connect the other end to this adapter, then connect the phone to the adapter and voila. Not only did I have a picture on the screen but I was mirroring the whole phone in the home screen, in the apps, all over. Best part was that the header bar on the phone turns blue when connected so I know it is working. Well done.It was a quick plug-in no problems at all. It works great!!!!!
