but I get them wet and they keep me cool. My arms had a rash from the sweat ...

I have only one pair so far, but have 5 more on the way. I deliver mail and need them for protection from the sun. While I am in my truck, there is no AC, so they get kinda warm, but I get them wet and they keep me cool. My arms had a rash from the sweat and that is almost gone. They get stained, hoping to find a way to clean them better. Love them, they do exactly what I expected them to do!

Amazing in the heat

I bought these for a work trip where I will be working in 110+ temps with lots of sun. I typically burn and these are great! The top of the sleeve is a little snug as other have mentioned, but that's just to hold it in place. It's not uncomfortable. The sleeves allow your arms to vent while preventing a sunburn. I recently wore the black ones while moving equipment with a forklift in full sun and my arms were not dying. These sleeves are amazing and I would recommend to anyone that is trying to protect from the sun!

What a relief.

As an avid motorcycle rider, I am always looking for something/someway to make the journey a little easier. Because my sleeves ride up my arm, while riding, there is 2-3 inch gap between my gloves and sleeves which causes me to get sunburned on my wrists and in southern Arizona in the summer, there is no such thing a little burnt and after my last ride, I decided to finally do something about it. I'm not into the sleeves that look like tattoos, I have the real thing so I was looking for something less artsy and more medical grade. These are a very good quality sleeve, a little thick but that means they should hold up a little better than the artsy ones. To keep the sleeve from riding up, there is a thumb hole that holds it down into my gloves and the thicker material holds it very well around my bicep. I've already used them and not once did I suffer any irritation around my newly acquired sunburned wrists. I am going to buy a few more, and permanently keep them in stock.

Great Sun Protection

I work outside in a trucking facility and I purchased this product after seeing some drivers using them to protect their left arm from the sun while driving: "driver's Left arms are always dark or sun damaged because they rest their arm on the window ledge while driving". I hate putting sun screen on my arms and decided to give the sleeves a try. I have been using the Shinymod sleeves for almost two years now and have re-ordered them several times. They work as described and provide 100% UV protection. And the weird and amazing thing is "they make your arms cooler, so they are really comfortable in the hot weather". I also use these sleeves when mowing the lawn and when doing outside work around the house. I constantly get asked by truckers about these at work and if they really work. I always highly recommend purchasing these sleeves to protect against the sun.

Protection from the sun

REVISED...So, i was unhappy about getting a hole in a new pair of these arm sleeves. What amazing customer service. We discussed it and they are replacing them. I am amazed and very pleased with their customer service. Thank you very much. These are great to wear to protect you from the sun. I am allergic to sunblock and a lot to times, I get a rash from the sun. These have helped on both county. I bought these to protect my arms from the sun. I liked them, so i ordered a second pair. They are less than two weeks old, and one of them has a hole in it already. I expected them to be more durable.

good protection

love this! i'm in my 20s and I've been noticing sun spots on my arms even though I rarely directly sit out in the sun. I realized a lot of the sun exposure I was getting was during driving and this is perfecttttt for that. I wear it in the car and my arms feel protected. I have small arms and it was a snug fit, so not sure how folks with larger arms would manage, but it says one size fits all. i like how they fit and i surprisingly do not get hot in them! :D

Skeptic is Impressed, Product WORKS!

Very pleased. Item really seems to work, keeping my arms not only protected from sun, but leaving me feeling infinitely cooler. Sleeves are a little longer than I expected (or my arms are stubbier than most), but once accustomed, prefer extra length because can pull the excess material further down to cover more of my fingers. In fact, kind of wish the item offered a glove style. Although I haven't washed the sleeves yet, I can already see some wear, that while doesn't affect the sleeves performance, will have me saving some pairs for more formal occasions & others for daily use. I highly recommend buying the multi-pack for this reason, not only because it's more cost effective, but also for the versatility they offer in matching clothing, and keeping some for dressier uses. I'm going to check & see if there's a multi-pack offering all white sleeves, since for daily use, think these are the most functional for Summertime. Would not only but MORE pairs, but will also look for a neck scarf, too - this product REALLY works & I've bought quite a lot that do not really block Sun or the cooling is only temporary & often messy (give the slimy, wet, towels & neck scarves a miss!) Am buying my 3rd set. Just an f.y.i., these wash well in terms of shape & retained function, but relatively innocuous foods have left permanent stains, so might wish to also be little extra vigilant about keeping them clear of such contact. Since function & fit are so great, will continue to buy & keep few pairs pristine for more special occasion type use.

TOTALLY LOVE!

My wife uses these type of things all the time because she's a vampire and can't stand the sun. (jk) But recently I got a tattoo on my arm and sun is bad for tattoos. Fades them. My wife let me borrow one of hers to wear but it looked pretty girly so she ordered these for me. They are great because they go up the arm, full coverage. They are great quality and I'm surprised they can sell them so reasonable. Nike sells ones similar to these and are a lot more expensive. So... my wife sees these, and orders herself a pair. Now when we exercise , we are matching. We are "that" couple. lol Great product, great value!

I can truly fight back against sunburns now!

These. Ara. Amazing~! I didn't even know sun protective clothing was a thing and since I now know, it's my mission that I get some of this awesome stuff to protect my ginger inherited pale skin. These are an awesome solution to be able to wear my favorite t-shirts without having to wear an extra shirt underneath to protect my arms. The sleeves feel tight at first but you get used to it and once you break them in they fit like a glove. I've been walking around my neighborhood as of late and since it's been sunny I've been wearing them and they do work. They keep my arms cool and actually keep my sweat at bay so I'm not completely soaked in my own grossness. I wear them with the thumbhole cause I don't want to take chances, I've been burned pretty badly before and refuse to let myself be caught off guard anymore by the sun. Now I can carry some protection from the sun with me and not let the evil sun turn me into a cooked lobster anymore. I have found armor you monster! I can enjoy being outside and not have to fear you as I do so, Sun!

My new favorite sun sleeves

First, let me say that I have used sun sleeves quite a bit. I'm fair skinned, and I burn like crazy, so sun sleeves are my friends. The main issues I've run into with sun sleeves are 1) fit, 2) hand coverage, and 3) how they look. I was going to include how well they stay up, but that's usually a function of the fit. For me, these sleeves work on all three counts: they fit well, I could use them as both plain sleeves AND sleeves that cover my hands, and they lay smoothly on my arm so they looked decent. (As much as you're going to get with sun sleeves. Let's be realistic.) There was no big logo shouting out at you, either, which I appreciated. Somewhere in the product description I read that the pink sleeves offered the most protection. (Or maybe I dreamed that, but whatever.) For that reason, I wore the pink ones during the days when my sun exposure was the worst, and they performed great! My skin was well protected, the sleeves were comfortable, and they stayed in place perfectly. I love the little thumb slit. I was able to cover and uncover my hands easily, and it's not visible unless your thumb is sticking through it. The pink color is relatively subtle once it's on, which I liked since it's not my favorite color. I also wore the gray ones, and I have the same comments, but the gray ones weren't tested in as much sun as the pink ones, so I can't tell you if they are as good or not. As an added bonus, treating the sleeves with Permethrin also worked great. Other people were slapping at their arms, while I didn't even notice the mosquitos. Gotta love that. One thing to note...When I first opened the packages (each pair had its own separate, sealed, reusable bag), they had an intense chemical smell that was still there even after washing, although not as bad. The smell went away for the two pairs of sleeves after I had them out for a while and wore them. As for the fit, my arms are short and not very big around. These were great for me, and there's lots of stretch to accommodate a larger arm. No idea how *much* larger, though. Hope that helps.
