DECIBEL METER

I like that the meter uses AAA batteries instead of 9V batteries. The back lighting is easily turned on or off automatically by detecting ambient light levels. It is very accurate. As a concert goer, I can tell when the noise level may be too high to be safe for my ears.

Sturdy construction, numbers are big and easy to read. This one uses AAA batteries rather than expensive 9V. Has the A weighting and back-lit display I need. Handy tool!

Handy tool Very handy for measuring construction noise levels. There's an alarm function that I can set. When it detects a sound that louder than the level I've set, the screen lights up. And I only need to set this up once. After that, it'll work every time I switch it on.

Neat sound tester

Simple and intuitive to use. I don't really need laboratory accuracy, so this decibel is good enough for my usage. A guy in another review complained that he can't find the battery compartment and it's not in the instructions. Well that's not true. We just have to remove the yellow protective case in order to access it. It's also in one of the product page photos. I mean, it can't be more simple than this.
