Performs about as well as I expected. Will only get better and better with updates.

I think of the iRobot product line similar to the Apple Watch line. It's always evolving and getting better. And early adopters have been reaping the benefits for years while the rest of us have somewhat clean floors. If you don't have one, half of you will and the other half with probably waste money on a cheaper knockoff and eventually get an Apple Watch or iRobot in this case. It's a matter of time and a matter or convenience. Because I always knew in the back of my mind that it would make life easier and who doesn't want a cleaner floors. Now the Braava and the Roomba are slightly different. One cleans your floors like a wet/dry mop and the other vacuums. I've had the little white Braava and the sleaker black 380t. I love both. The little guy really does a great job with remote rooms and bathroom especially. The black one can clean much longer but it lacks any kind of automation (much like the white Braava). And along comes the m6 series. It is basically an i7 but mops. It's smart. Maps out rooms. Can be automated and scheduled. It's bigger. Can carry more fluid to clean floors. It can even coordinate with your Roomba i7 or s9 to mop after a good vacuuming so you don't overload the Braava. Has a recharge station in case it runs out of juice and wants to go home and recharge before finishing. It's pricey at $500 but we all know their prices will drop after a few months of coming out. And most importantly, the Braava m6 firmware can and will be updated so you get a great robot mop that gets smarter and works better over time. Now like most things in life, there are some negatives. The pads. You get two dry ones and two wet ones in with the unit. You also get a small flask size bottle of their floor cleaner. That's it. You can buy 3 more wet mops for $7 plus shipping and tax. Same for the dry mops. The floor cleaner is also $7.95 and will last a little longer than the mops. It's expensive and the pads being so expensive kind of burns a little. You can get reusable wet mops (2 actually) for $25 plus shipping and tax. Not sure why they didn't throw in a reusable mop head due to the price but I get iRobot needs to make money and this is their ecosystem. All in all, they work great. The disposable mops are durable and well made. They pick up A LOT of dirt. You just throw them out after use. It's easy peasy. But it burns a little having to throw down another $30-50 to get more mop heads and cleaner after you drop $500. Ultimately, it's the same problem with anything these days. You buy a new phone and you will need new headphones and chargers and a case. That's my one negative. Which is pretty good overall. The unit comes in a gorgeous box and is well insulated. Battery life is good. My unit cleaned the whole house in about 2.5 hours and it didn't have to recharge. The unit also speaks its buttons so you can place it under a table and you'll know you pressed the right button by the verbal prompts. I did also notice the m6 dishes out more cleaning liquid which is nice. After it cleans a few times, you'll have a map that you can section off and tell Braava via the app or via Alexa to just clean the hallway or the kitchen or whatever room you've named on the map. It's really packed with features. I'll say this about iRobot, it's NOT cheap and the imitators are always inferior (save yourself the money and time as I've looked and returned every one) AND they future proof each product by loading it full of features. I'll do a follow up review in a few months as I road test it some more. Happy cleaning.

Update i got it to dock. Robot works as expected. Robot will not dock. It approaches the dock and the wheels spin but fails to sit on the dock. This happened after setup. Tried different locations for the base but also failed to dock. Also Irobot has very poor customer service. They are not customer oriented.

Finally a robot mop that can do my entire house and knows the kitchen gets dirtie! I love how it knows to start mopping after my Roomba S9 is done. One step closer to not thinking about cleaning my floors ever again...

As other manufacturers step into the robot vacuum category, iRobot keeps evolving. This latest generation is pricey, for sure, but truly intelligent. The mapping is phenomenal, cleaning is not difficult and for anyone like us with hardwood laminate floors plus tile, this new m6 is worth the considerable investment in no-hassle cleaning. If you are willing to invest in both the vacuum cleaner, and mop, you can actually program them to automatically clean in sequence. Also, if you worry like us that too aggressive mopping can damage your floor due to too much water being sprayed, this was not as issue with the Braava. Some reviews mention tire marks but we have not had any issue with laminate and tile. I did not want to invest too early in what I thought was a cute fad. However, I now believe our life among helpful robots is here to stay. Compared to the less expensive Braava 240, some advantages I like is the wifi / smart home connection ability and the option for it to recharge itself and get back to work like any loyal robot should! We better respect them, though, as I’m sure that not too far in the future their intelligence will surpass that of us mere humans.

I love my iRobot! If I could estimate, this device saves me 2.5-3 hours a week of cleaning. Unlike other complaints, I am not dealing with tire or track marks after a mopping session. I have VERY white hardwoods and thought for sure I would run into this issue, but so far so good. My floors are also very smooth with no real edges or grooves. Maybe this makes a difference. I am using the iRobot brand pads and the recommended cleaning solution. I am so impressed with this little guy. After two training sessions, he was able to accurately map my entire downstairs floor. Somehow he was also able to tell the difference between permanent furniture and items that are moved. Items that are moved in our house include the highchair, the baby bouncer, and toys of my son’s. He is able to identify all these items as movable or temporary and therefore does not include them in his map. I appreciate this feature a lot as a new mom constantly moving baby items around. In the app, I am able to label rooms, put up dividers, and schedule cleanings for specific rooms. Scheduling cleanings is super easy and the app interface is user friendly. He does face some difficulty going over an edge, like my kitchen rug, but with a few tries he normally gets it. If he is unable to get out of a section, he audibly lets you know as well as an alert to your phone. I am very happy our iRobot! My only complaint is that at the price point of $500, you should receive more than just 2 single use sweeping pads, 2 single use mopping pads, and a small bottle of cleaning fluid. I would’ve appreciated to see one reusable sweeping pad and one reusable mopping pad included at this price. The picture of dirty dry sweeping pad is after cleaning roughly 600 sq feet. I wouldn’t think it could pick up much more than this. I have not tried the reusable ones yet.

I am thrilled with this new Braava. I had ordered the T380 or whatever it is called and it did not do much of a job cleaning my floors, nor did it connect to my phone and roomba ; so I returned it. This new jet m6 is night and day above that one. It is mopping my floors as I type and getting them truly clean as my new roomba s9+ vacuums the other rooms before the braava gets to it. They work together which is a huge plus to me as I don’t have let the roomba finish before firing up the braava every day. I just turn them on and let them do their thing resulting in clean, shiny floors while I drink my coffee and get my paid work done. I have never been so happy with a product in my life as I am with the Braava jet m6 and the Roomba s9+! The only cons is that I believe it requires the use of the iRobot cleaning fluid if cleaning fluid is wanted as opposed to using other brands. Same for the mop heads; although I have ordered some rewashable ones to keep the mopping price down as the throw always are fairly pricey at a dollar a mop. With that said, the throw-away is what is mopping my floors so beautifully as I type; so if the microfiber rewashables don’t do as good a job as the throw-always I will be purchasing them in bulk as I am happy with the job the throw-aways do. So incredibly glad I purchased these two items as I was a bit reluctant due to the price tag. Not now. They are worth every penny to me.

Works great for daily maintenance. For tougher jobs it may take a few rounds to get rid of streaks. If you pair it with a vacuum and coordinate the schedules for daily cleaning you'll be impressed with the results. We have been so far. Key point is it cleans better with just water. Adding the included solution leaves streak/tire marks.

With two cats and lots of Spring pollen we keep up the vacuuming with 2 Neato vacuums, one upstairs, one down. As with vacuuming, my wife and I both dislike mopping as well. The house is 80% hardwood, 20% tile, no thresholds. I've been researching robot mops and considered the 240 but didn't want to babysit it - removing the battery for recharging and positioning it to properly cover a large area. The Braava Jet m6 became available and met all our needs. It covers a large area unattended, returns to base to recharge, can be set on a schedule and works with alexa. How does it work? Quite well over only a few days of ownership. On setup I noticed a firmware download was available, so let it do so. I first set it out on a dry mopping run to view how it operates. Even though the Neato had run 2 days prior, it still picked up quite a bit due to the pollen. But its main purpose was to mop. I let it recharge, changed out the pad and set it to mopping our hardwood floors. I'm quite impressed with the results. It did a great job, the floors look clean and we didn't have to drag out the pail, mop and cleaners. It's still mapping out the downstairs on training runs, so I haven't been able to finish the maps and define rooms. It'll be nice when that's available and alexa can be used to tell it to clean the kitchen. It did a superb job on both the hardwood and tile floors. Bottom line: I like it, it's quiet, it's efficient and eliminates a chore that is disliked. The floors will be mopped quite a bit more often thanks to the Braava jet m6. I ordered replacement pads, cleaner, reusable pads directly from iRobot as I couldn't find them yet here on amazon.

Works well. Would like it more if it shared Imprint maps with Roomba instead of needing to make its own. But as a robo-mop, it seems fine so far.
