Great product

This has transformed the upstairs of my house, very simple to set up with 2 options in case your router doesn't support WPS, which mine didn't. Manual setup is still pretty easy to set up. Have gone from having almost no signal upstairs to full 5 bars strong! Great product, would recommend.

Works But Instructions Could be Better

I ordered this on Saturday and received it on Sunday...very prompt shipping (Thanks Amazon Prime). As I am not very tech savvy, it took a while for me to figure out how to connect it. Not all of that was my fault. The instructions were in a small booklet where the font was so small I had to use a magnifying glass to read them. Then, in the last step I had to add an "EXT" for the extension to the suggested filename or the device would not appear in my tray for available networks. After resetting the device several times I figured out the solution. I didn't see that step in the instructions. I don't think I missed it. Nevertheless, it is working quite well. Our house is a ranch and the router is located in a corner office so the wi-fi signal was weak at the other end of the house (kitchen area). The signal is vastly improved at three to four bars versus one or two before. Lag has been greatly reduced. I have only had this a week so I'm not sure of longevity, but so far it is well worth the money spent.

Does exactly what it promises

My son works out of his office in my home, and needs wifi for his job. The router is in his office. I recently moved my "office space" to a bedroom on the far side of the house from the router. I could not log in to our wifi. After some research, I ordered the Galaway extender, mostly because it had 5-star reviews on Amazon. I am only moderately tech-savvy, but it was very easy to set up and install, and it works perfectly! I would highly recommend this wifi extender.

Freaking works

I live in a basement with a router in the second floor of the house and let me tell you how annoying my other WiFi repeater was. I would have the occasional signal connect but it wasn’t capable of maintaining any real connections. But the walls and tight spacing made the signals too weak to work with. Even when it did connect, it was like watching a slideshow. I’ve used this WiFi repeater to repeat a 5g internet connection and better than being its own separate connection, it has automatically extended the range of the original WiFi into the dead corner of the basement being walls and the boiler room. In the back corner of the back room, the actual 5g network connection cannot reach at which point I switch it to the “repeaters” WiFi. For around 50 dollars, this has saved me a ton of work and I no longer feel the need of buying a second router and extending the range the traditional way. Wall penetration is definitely real and it’s extra antenna aren’t just for show.

Surprised

Having bought a couple of more expensive extenders over the years which were forever dropping the signal and needing rebooting, I nearly loss my confident on it and didn't want to spend too much money, so I decided to buy a cheaper one. I plugged it in and set it up very easily and it has worked perfectly ever since. Surprisely, we now have a strong stable signal throughout our house.

Great for the price

Signal is extended upstairs. We are not expecting miracles but this has performed well in line with expectation. Takes a while to get set up but worth the wait and great for the price.

Does what it says on the box

Excellent. It does what it says on the box. Has solved the blind spot in our house, where solid old walls killed the signal, and even enabled us to use wifi on the patio. Works perfectly and not had any problems since I bought it.

Couldn't ask for better.

Great product, took me five minutes to connect. Enter"192.168.10.1" on a web browser and operate according to the prompt of the page. So easy and recommended for the hard to reach areas of some wifi routers. I also need the ethernet port for one of my devices.

Great! Took a little bit of setting up but well worth the effort and money. Extends the wifi range as required, I can now get Wi-Fi signal around the house. Very pleased.

Well worth the price

Excellent product with the latest firmware, works right out of the box. You can even configure it via WiFi, so even if your router doesn't have a WPS button, you don't need a PC with an Ethernet card to get it running, simply use your iPad or similar. Has improved the signal in the lounge where the existing WiFi was poor. Well worth the price.
