These are the only socks that last for my husband. I buy him a package every 6-8 months. Other brands I have to buy every 2-3 months. He likes the dri-tech and I LOVE the gray bottom so they don’t get so dirty. My husband wears heavy steel toe work boots 90% of the time, slip on EMT boots 5% and snow boots 5% of the time so he’s really rough on socks. I won’t buy him any other brand of socks except smart wool for snowmobiling.

After a few years of wearing suits like a corporate robot and buying those damned dress socks that come in a 3 pack with 3 different patterns, most of which are ugly as sin, I found my self with a drawer full of these time sucking mismatched burdens. Every time I did laundry, it was a half-hour game of memory, and there was always one left over at the end! One day I said, screw this!, bagged them all up, looked at my pile of worthless white socks, which also had a few too many varietals, threw those in too, and dropped them off at the homeless encampment under the freeway. So, i didn't have any socks for a couple days but, when these came, I loved them so much that I bought three more packs! (Plus they're black and match 90% of my wardrobe) They are comfortable, have a nice little compression to the feet, don't smell like hell like my dress socks did at the end of the day, and I never have to match and fold socks again! Pile them all in the drawer, and any two that I pull out in the morning always match. Hours of my life have been given back to me. And they say you can't buy time!

Pros: they are comfortable, they fit snuggly and dont "ride-down". The "foot" part of the sock, is roomy and feels nice against the flesh of my souls. Secret: they are nice to put on, if you warm them a little, and just took a nice shower. To the average person they would "do the job". I would give them a (A/A-, if I had to grade them, and if I didn't know better). If you need some socks that you know you will wear out in a few months, then buy this product. It does the job. They seem durable so far.... It is definitely a "meat-and-potato", "garden variety" sock. They are standard. They do not let you down....Plus, they are sold "in bulk", so you save there. (As an aside, I don't believe that Amazon sells smaller priced items, like 1 pair of socks.... I read somewhere that Amazon can only now sell larger, bulk style of small items)... Anyway, the Cons:The elastic part is too tight on the calf area. I wish that they were a little looser. The strong, elastic, calf part means that it can restrict bloodflow, so I try not to wear these at night. The next con, as is with all socks, they can "bunch-up when you insert your foot, or your toes at the wrong angle. The next con is a big one for me: It has a definite "plastic polyester" feel. Often people are not astute enough to compare sock textures, or they cannot do so, when they purchase these online... so they cannot perceive the polyester. but it feels kind of rubbery against your skin, when compared with all cotton. In my opinion the polyester in the sock feels like you mushed up greasy rubber bands in your sock. It is not nice. But, buyer beware...("Caveat Emptur", as they in Latin). that is your problem if you buy it, so read the label. Really, I only have myself to blame. I knew about this "polyester issue" with this sock brand, and as will most other socks, when I went into this transaction, because I needed socks and I had to compromise somewhere. So I guess that it is all my own silly fault, and not the company's. To those of you still reading: Here is my story: I am a strong advocate of cotton socks. I had always, and I still, to this day, continue to search for all-cotton socks. They used to sell these all of the time circa 1980-1990. Then suddenly, in the late 2010's - 2019's, I cannot find cotton socks. I search high-and-low, but alas, I cannot find them. I feel lost and helpless in a strange consumer land, as though I were trapped in a bizarre Dr. Seuss story that never ends, and one that I cannot get out of. It is so Kafka-esque. Here is my rant: I feel ripped-off. I really want cotton socks that aren't hiking socks. I want an athletic, tube sock, in black, that can pass as a work sock. I also want a nice weave and a good, durable quality type of cotton....I do not feel like this is such a ridiculous demand, since they do exist... I have bought different ones on-line and failed every time....Unfortunately, the all-cotton socks are all now displaced by some kind of polyester blend. Well I do not want polyester. They are not the same feel as cotton. In the winter, cotton wont cause as much static shock (Polyester does). Maybe I dont want static shock. Maybe I dont want polyester pants clinging to my legs in the winter. What's up with that? That is not too much to ask. At the risk of sounding like a sock-snob, (which I am not), I protest: polyester socks must stop! End the madness! To all of the sock manufacturers, sock designers, and product engineers out there in the world, if you are browsing through random sock reviews, kindly replace your polyester with cotton! I would pay more for that extra bit of cotton. Please! do the right thing! You can change the world! I understand why they use polyester, because it is cheaper, but dont cheat me.

If you're like me, you can't even buy socks in this modern age without spending an hour reading reviews. Where once we would go to a department store and grab a bag off the shelf, now we fall down a rabbit hole of online opinions. Let me save you some time. Buy these socks. They do not pill. They do not fade. They don't get holes. They don't lose their elasticity. They are warm in winter and cool in summer. I bought a pack of these a year ago for everyday use, and having worn them, well, every day, I can assure you they are still in top shape. I don't actually work on my feet, but I live in a city and I walk a lot,and I'm generally an active person, and these socks have held up really well. Some day in the distant future when/if they do finally wear out, I will happily replace them with more of the same.

These socks have lasted over a year without one hole...I wear them for work in Red Wing boots and they are very comfortable...I was worried because I live in the South and I figured that since they were thick that they would be hot, but not so much. My feet are happy, and sure they sweat, but my feet never seem to get drenched and I don't ever feel uncomfortable. Actually the thickness adds to the comfort of the boots without any real trade-off in terms of heat. They were a great purchase and I'm going to buy some more if they ever wear out....

I tend to throw a lot of socks out. (Probably because I throw away socks after one unwanted hole.) However, after nearly 6 months of wearing these socks to work, I haven't thrown out a single pair. They're also rather comfortable, as far as socks come. Sure, you could buy roughly twice as many Hanes socks for the same price, but I think these are a quality product. I have no hesitation in buying more Dickies socks and I recommend them to my friends. I will update if these socks start to wear through. Update: After nearly two years, I have still yet to throw away any socks due to holes in the bottom. I have started to see some of the elastic fall apart in the ankle and upper bands, but they're still very wearable. I did have 1 or 2 two socks develop holes where the thicker lower fabric meets the thinner upper fabric, but we're talking 2 out of 24 socks over a two year timeframe, which I find rather impressive. Another Update: On some of the socks, the elastic has started to wear out, most noticeably around the upper portion of the sock. I had a few socks with holes in the bottom, but I think it's from snagging them and not the sock wearing through. I still have a quite a few pairs in good shape, so these socks have lasted a lot longer than I expected.

These socks exceed expectations in their function as a covering for my feet. I daresay they might even be the best socks available, as far as regular socks go. It's a nice, noticeable step up from the baseline in terms of comfort and quality. It's hard to get really fired up about socks, but I mean, if these were a pizza instead of socks, they would be a wicked good pizza, and I'd probably be more enthusiastic.

With big feet and a hatred of wearing shoes, I’ve always been hard on socks. For years I’ve gone back and forth between Hanes and Fruit of the Loom and just like clockwork, holes form in the heels. The last straw was when two different package of socks started getting holes on only the second and third wear. That’s when I came to amazon and searched reviews for the best socks. Fast forward two years after buying these and all of my socks still little wear and no signs of any holes starting any time soon. As everyone knows, socks seem to disappear in the wash so I’m only back here to buy more to replace the ones that have gotten lost. Yes they are a little more expensive than Hanes of FotL, but worth every penny! The one thing I don’t love is the brand name plastered on the top of every sock because I mostly walk around in my socks only (and it’s a bit awkward when at a friends house that doesn’t allow shoes inside, it’s hard not to feel like a walking billboard). It would be nice if they could be like the other brands and put the name on the bottom. But because I love the durability of these socks so much, I’ll overlook the blaring brand name.

These are excellent socks for my husband who has diabetes. They are somewhat thicker than his current socks but they are better at keeping his feet dry. He works outdoors and I am not sure if he will want to wear them when the weather gets warmer. They run true to size. They have been through the washer and dryer several times and so far I have not noticed any pilling or shrinking.

I am on my second week of wearing these socks and absolutely HAVE to replace my current collection of worn-out socks with these! I work 40+ hours a week on my feet in a heavy manufacturing environment on concrete, wearing Merrell Faraday's, with Dr. Scholls P.R.O heavy duty insoles, I needed a new kind of sock that could keep up with mild ventilation and comfortable fit. After reading the reviews these fit the bill perfectly, after wearing them for a week I knew I had made the right decision! My feet don't sweat (rather I do not feel any accumulation) anymore. It's all comfort now, coupled with the aforementioned insoles I am in a bliss of comfort and lack of pain during, and at the end of the day. I highly recommend these socks for anyone looking for a quality option that will not break your bank, and according to my roommate in a similar work field, don't wear out nearly as easy as an all wool, or cotton sock.
