Got this fan for a bathroom (our overhead exhaust fan is non-directional and too loud). Takes up very little space on the counter and is very attractive. Has performed very well for two summers! As the outer cage is fixed (not removable), it's a bit of a challenge cleaning the fan blades but nothing insurmountable.

I love this fan. It was bigger than I thought it would be but it's quiet. It's also powerful enough at its low setting to keep me cool in my giant sweatbox of an office.

Pros : Powerful 2 speed 6" blade 7" usb fan I like its perfect for my computer area at home or when I sleep at night and my battery pack this best usb fan on the market for the price its better then most of my usb fans I have already this is the best one in my collection of usb fans . this fan will not disappoint you... its also good for at work or in your office its quiet enough that it wont disturb no one. you have the option to take it anywhere you want with a power bank battery pack or usb device. very useful. it has two powerful speeds hi and low also very easy to clean no the blade dose not come off .. but still able to clean it up .. Cons : that it didn't come with an battery option like most of the usb fans do these days li-on batteries although they don't last long still would of been cool but not enough to take a star off .. so its all good Worth buying : if your looking for something small but powerful enough to keep you cool no matter where you are then yes I would say yes its worth it buy it now asap fast immediately while they last.. don't waste time trying to decide rather to buy it or not just do it you wont regret it ...

Love this little gem! I keep it at my work desk. I never have to use it at the higher speed. It moves plenty of air on the low setting. It's also very quiet on low. I have been using it for two months now and am planning to order another for home use. It's lightweight but seems to be very sturdy Update: I use this fan daily and it’s still going strong! I also love the fact that you can remove the front cover to clean the blades.

I have always thought I could get the best value on everything from Amazon...I was wrong. The item itself still sits waiting for me to assemble it, as I was hurt and could not do it. The price however still gnaws at me. The exact same item is for sale at Walmart, of all places, at less than one third the cost of this item. I will be checking prices much more diligently from now on... NOTE: Feb. 06, 2013 I just received another email alert from Amazon and it seems this very shelving unit is again up for sale at the ridiculous price I paid for it. Please be aware that it can be be had for half the price at Walmart. Don't throw money away like I did. NOTE: July 21, 2013 I have finally recovered enough from my injury to assemble these shelves and am very happy with them except for one (1) problem...I'm missing four (4) of the upright posts for the last shelf. Am I out of luck here now??? Does anyone have any suggestions?? I could sure use some help with this... NOTE: July 29, 2013 It took one call...ONE CALL!!...to Amazon, who contacted the manufacturer, to get this whole thing taken care of. A wonderful Amazon Customer Service Rep. named Kristine listened to the story and immediately made contact with both the seller and the manufacturer. Early this morning I received an email from Kaitlin, at Sterilite, informing me that the missing parts were being sent. She followed up soon after with a phone call to confirm that the parts were being shipped this afternoon. I may have initially complained about the price but customer service like this is "PRICELESS"...Thank you Amazon (Kristine) and thank you Sterilite (Kaitlin)...

This Sterilite 5-shelf utility storage unit is one of the finest consumer products I've seen in a long time. Being an industrial engineer, I'm not easily impressed. But I am impressed by the quality and low price (I paid $32 at Amazon with free shipping) of this unit. Assembled, it has a nice look. The 150 pound limit per shelf is staggering considering it is made of plastic and marketed for non-industrial use. The color of the material is neutral and nice while the physical properties of the plastic are excellent. These combine hardness vs. softness for maximum static strength perfectly. (Some manufacturers make storage racks like this too brittle allowing for minimal deformation under load. However, this brittleness, inherent in the material, makes them easily broken.) Sterilite has balanced both to make a shelf hard enough to maintain form under load but soft enough to take dynamic stress without breaking. Proper assembly takes about a half hour. There is one simple diagram on the rack banner that shows how it should be put together. No written description is given or needed as assembly is so simple, a child could do it. I do however have several suggestions for proper assembly listed below. Starting with the bottom shelf on the floor, place four vertical posts into the four corner holes smaller side down as shown on the supplied diagram. You can try to push them in using your strength, but I used a hammer, a block of wood, and a sock placed between the wood and the top of the post to prevent damage to the post. Once placed into the top of the hole, just tap the post into place until it bottoms out. After all four posts are tapped down into position, measure the height of the posts from shelf-top to assure consistent insertion. If there are some that are higher than others, keep tapping the higher ones firmly until all have equal height. Then place the next shelf onto the four posts. Position the corner holes over the posts and begin to push down on the shelf working around the four corners halfway at a time. When reasonably seated, put a cushion like a folded towel on top of the corner holes and strike them with your hand to finish seating them (if necessary). Keep checking post height and floor to shelf-top height all the way up to the fifth shelf so you know the all posts and shelves are properly seated. After you are satisfied that assembly is complete, place the unit onto a level area of your floor. If the floor is not level, you can position leveling blocks under the four post corners where the unit contacts the floor. (Leveling the rack can be especially important if you are going to place relatively heavy loads on the shelves.) Before you know it, you're done and in possession of a very nice piece of engineered home-storage utility shelf unit.

Really like this fan. Tons of compliments on the look, but I am unable to use it when my boss is in the office. I am asked to turn it off because it is extremely loud, and that's on the low setting. I spent too much money for it to not be used and I've already discarded the box. May take it home.

I have searched a long time for a fan with these characteristics. In fact, I'd like to see a fan someone recommends that makes more sense in a minimally powered solar charging environment such as tent camping where battery power is limited or in my case, in a RV where I have a solar setup and 5 of these mounted on my ceiling. I went with the non-wall-mountable frame because it is a lower profile than the thicker clip and wall mount bracket on the actual unit advertised as wall-mountable. I salvaged some thin flat aluminum square double L-brackets from commercial window framing stock to create these, attaching them with a screw with a non-slip nut mounted through the center of the fan base plate and then cut 4 screw holes in the edge of the home-made bracket to mount it to the ceiling which means the fan can be rotated as well as tilted with the built in notched mechanism.. The 1/4" thickness was just enough to allow the fan to rotate unobstructed from the "thin fuzz" carpeted ceiling of my coach. First of all a search for a battery powered fan that lasts a long time on a battery's charge will require that you look for one with a limited current draw that hopefully moves enough air for you and is quiet to boot. I firmly believe the Opolar qualifies better than any other fan I have seen thus far. Next with power consumption as a concern the USB powered designation is about the only guarantee a fan will have a low current draw, particularly in the sea of 12V auto fans with missing power consumption specs (this USB one requires a USB adapter).. Having "USB Powered" specs will limit the device to half an amp (500ma) maximum. This means that no matter where you are looking for low power consumption, a tent with a "USB power bank" or an auto with a 12V to 5V USB adapter, solar home with a 110V to USB adapter, or simply a regular power grid home setup where energy efficiency is concerned, this fan is the best one I have found for the job. Now the second challenge is finding a USB flan with a large blade because the plethora of USB fans you find online have 4" blades which means they all have to turn very fast in order to produce an acceptable amount of air volume; and fan speed just so happens to correspond with noise. This makes the Opolor a rare find for a USB fan in its class because it has 6" blades meaning it runs quiet. Note that In my research I found no USB fans with larger blades. After 6 months of use I have to say I just love these little fans. Now the only thing to worry about is how long they are going to last. I ordered a couple of extras, tested them, took them apart and stowed only the blades and motors in my RV storage bins just in case I have any problems down the road. I have even added 12V to 5V power modules to my RV along with wall switches for these fans. I placed one set of switches at "toe level" so I turn them off and on as needed through the night. In the heat of summer I run them all night on "low" for a very comfortable sleeping environment. I will keep you posted on their longevity. In closing, the only negative I can come up with out of 5 fans I ordered, one has a bit of a vibration problem so perhaps Opolar could bump up the quality control. Hopefully it was just a fluke. I am also anxious to see how these perform over time as well as after a few days in a locked up hot RV in the summer. Again, I will keep you posted. P.S. Hidden from view in photos is a 12v to 5V power module which powers these fans in my setup. The white switch below the TV at the top of the bed comforter is the "toe switch" I spoke of. Placing the fans at the foot of the bed and pointed toward the head provides the lowest noise and the highest "sheet" of air I found. The air hits mid body trunk and flows up to my head which seems the most comfortable for my own personal sleeping habits. Your needs may vary. Enjoy!

Great Value in a well-made multi-speed mini fan that actually is a pretty good-sized it's not a mini fan to plug into USB ports very happy with the purchase I ordered three more four friends and one more for myself. If you got a USB port you got a fan great product to empty USB ports you got two sources of cool air Wherever You Are.

Worth every penny!! Used by the side of the bed as an extra fan for myself. Powerful, small, excellent air flow.
