• BRING HOME A LIVE PLANT THAT BENEFITS YOUR AQUARIUM --- The 4 LUFFY Giant Moss Balls are live plants. Fish excreta, debris, phosphate, and ammonia disturbs the natural ecosystem of the water tank. These balls help in creating a thriving atmosphere for the aquatic species.
  • NO SPECIAL FOOD REQUIREMENTS FOR GROWTH --- Both aquatic organisms and marimo moss balls compete for the same nutrients for growth. Marimos leave a limited room for other organisms to thrive. If marimos are floating, rather than settling down, gently squeeze it and pop its air bubble. Release it into the water and you will see them settling down at the bottom of the tank.
  • REAL MARIMOS ARE NOT ALWAYS SPHERICAL & MIGHT HAVE SOME BROWN SPOTS ON THEM --- As you buy LUFFY Giant Marimo Moss Balls, you should be able to differentiate between a real and a fake marimo. The 100% natural marimo will not always be spherical in shape or lush green in color. It is perfectly ok to have some brown spots. However, if you do find sparkling green and perfectly spherical marimos, there os a high chance that they are unnatural and synthetically prepared marimos.
  • ADDS TO THE AESTHETIC BEAUTY & ARE LOW MAINTENANCE --- LUFFY prohibits the usage of dye that imparts artificial green color to the moss balls. Since it distributes non-synthetic marimo moss balls, expect to receive regular/irregular shaped moss balls which are not always in deep green color. Undoubtedly, the marimo moss balls add to the aesthetic beauty of the aquarium and are low maintenance. They simply require some light and freshwater.
  • SNAIL-PROOF AND LOVED BY SHRIMPS --- Some snails love to feed on live plants, but when it comes to the LUFFY marimo moss balls, they nibble or eat food off it just like a shrimp. Shrimps, on the other hand, gorge on the green stuff and munch on any particle they like. We recommend keeping the marimo moss balls away from fishes such as Koi or goldfish as it’s a tasty snack for them. It’s safe for them, but you don’t want your one pet to eat your plant pet.

I ordered two of these guys are they are so cute!!!!! No brown spots no weird stray algae. There as tiny little pebbles stuck on them. I just washed mine before I put them in there little home. I have one floater and one that sunk which I believe is normal. Super happy about them and they are they exact size I expected them to be

They arrived well packaged, unfortunately with very little information. This can be easily remedied with a goose search. The are difficult to get to settle, they recommend gently squeezing to let the air bubble out but i found that gently squeezing them under water is best, so they can "fill up" with water and sink. So far they are a pretty green, its only been a few days so we'll see how they last . They make a neat terrarium .

I absolutely love these things. For starters, let me just start out by saying that I would have to pay $8.99 at any or my local pet stores for 1 or 2 of these moss balls, so this is an extremely good deal on that front alone. Otherwise the moss is a great plant for small aquariums. I have several in a 75 gallon tank so I don't see them as much as I would with something smaller but it always good knowing they are in there making it healthier for my fish. Do keep in mind that they may be a little brown but that is perfectly healthy.

The day after the moss balls were delivered I recieved an email asking “Did you say WOW?”. I wanted to wait for a week or so to make sure the moss survived once placed in my fish tanks. Its been about 10 days now and the moss balls are still as healthy as the day they arrived. While one ball did “shed” a little it is still intact and healthy. I just took the small clumps that came off the moss ball out of the tank with a fishnet. To be honest I was surprised by a couple things, first the product was shipped in the dead of winter, local temperatures we in the single digits during the day, the moss balls were alive and well when delivered. I had checked with the vendor before ordering because I was concerned about the moss dying in the cold. Second, each and every one was a nice healthy vibrant green upon arrival. Some reviews I read said they recieved dead or dying product. Also I was impressed with the vendor’s eagerness to please. The first email inquiry concerning my satisfaction arrived the day after delivery. I would buy from and recommend this vendor and product.

Dry packed with cute instruction card. I didn't quarantine mine as suggested although I did soak it for a day. You have to ring them out gently.. like a sponge. These are almost the size of a plum once fully hydrated. About 2" in diameter. These are in a 1 gal betta tank. Water, betta and snail all seem happy after a week.

I have ordered these three times. Once, the small Betta Moss Balls 10-pak, and twice the giant 2-pak. I received very nice, healthy, green moss balls every time. Years ago I purchased Marimo balls from my local fish store and they were not as nice. Moss balls need to be rinsed under gently running water while gently squeezed to et the old water out occasionally and gently rolled into shape before returning them to their home. This will prevent brown spots or allow the brown spots to green-up in a short time. I am very pleased with Luffy's Moss Balls

I put these in my 3 gallon Betta tank. He's the only thing in the tank besides some plastic plants and I wanted to give him something more excited. Our tank does have a heater and I believe that the right temperature is important for these to thrive. They arrived moist and large and have fluffed up even more since soaking them in the tank. My Betta seems to enjoy having something live and natural and he's been very interested in them.

Just received my Luffy Betta balls, great value. Six balls in Perfect condition. I purchased one last week at Petsmart for 8.00, good size. I cut in half for two tanks, within 24 hours I noticed a difference in the tanks and fish are more active. I would highly recommend this product, I will be putting the new ones in my larger 65 gallon tank today.

I ordered the 8 pack to put in my axolotls and am I glad I did! They arrived very green and healthy looking! They were a bit misshappen from shipping, completely normal. They come in a plastic bag with moisture inside to prevent drying out. I rinsed them under running water while squeezing before placing them in our tanks. Once in, they quickly regained shape, all but 1 which has a hole in the center but no big deal. They are looking better by the day and the lotls seem to love pushing them and sitting on them. I would order again!

I was worried about the condition they would arrive in, but they were perfectly happy and even had a little baby ball that snuck in on the side of a larger one. I’ve had them for 6 months or so in my fish tank and they have all grown in size with the littles being about a half inch now and the others more like two inches or so. I also noticed last week another new baby in the tank - it’s a little tiny fluff of moss but I’m excited to see what it does. I neglect them for the most part, but they do get cleaned and moved around by the aquarium snails every so often. Much nicer than fake plants that grow algae all over them and much easier than other aquatic plants.
