This bench is great for package concealment/locking. What I do is if I'm expecting a package, I'll leave the lock open and the lid open. Inside the lid is a printed message saying "Dear courier, please leave package inside and then lock". The only time is doesn't really work is if I'm expecting two packages on the same day, as the first courier will lock the box. Side story, one time I was expecting a package but I also had food delivered (pre-paid) and the delivery person put the FOOD in the box LOL. The box is huge so I also use it to store garden soil and such (nothing too valuable). The bench is quite bulky but relatively lightweight for it's size. I'm an untrained female and I think I could move the empty bench around if I needed. The garden soil helps weigh it down. The box is plastic and will not keep out a determined thief. It can deter more opportunistic thieves, though, and even if left unlocked it is great concealment.

This bench was more than I expected. It was quite easy to set up and is sturdier than expected. My Dad and I are both 200 lb. and we sat down together and leaned against the back with no problem. I couldn't picture how much 70 gallon capacity would hold. However, I put in 2 folding chairs & table, small toolbox, dog dummies, sprinkler, kneeling pad, etc and it isn't even half full. It really cleaned up my patio and allowed me to keep some things handy that I used to go inside to get. I was concerned about how water-proof it will be, and it hasn't rained in the week since I got the bench. There is a channel beneath the back seat hinge that should capture water, but I'm not sure where that will drain when full (maybe I'll put the hose to it and find out). If there is a weakness it may be the floor. It is a corrugated plastic which sits off the ground about 1/2". I may put a thin board underneath it for added support. The floor was the only difficult part to install. I could have used a second person for that. I had one small part arrive defective ( a foot cap) and the company immediately sent out a replacement. After considering many different patio storage options, I am most satisfied with this choice. It has plenty of room, is functional as a bench and looks nice.

Very easy to assemble and sturdy, I asked a question yesterday when they arrived about water maybe getting inside and the seller responded very quickly, Thank you for your answer by the way. They look lovely on my deck and I am looking forward to using them for seating and storage. Again, overall I am very satisfied with the color, the construction of the bench and the very easy to follow instructions. Oh and the seller said if you properly put this together you should have no rain inside box at all, Love it.

This bench is awesome. I was able to put it together by myself in the midst of keeping an eye on my 9-month-old and 4-year-old out in the sun in 90 degree heat, so you know it's not that difficult. Although it is waterproof as far as rain coming down on it, I will warn people that if you have it out on your lawn like I do (or any place rain water can build up), when the water rises, it does seep in through the bottom, so whatever you put on the bottom of the storage part better be able to get wet. This also means bugs can crawl in. We had some bird seed in ours and it attracted ants. I sprayed the edges inside with Raid, problem solved. Other than that issue (which wasn't because I mostly keep gardening stuff in mine), we love this bench. My husband and I are not small people by any means and we're safely able to sit on this bench together. I have a storage unit in the same color and made of the same stuff and it's taken 5 years of the harsh southern sun to finally start fading in color. Not bad. It seems to me this will wear similarly.

I love this bench. I got 3 and made a corner setting. I ordered cushions and they achieved nice seating for 6. Plus I can store the cushions and accent pillows in them. They are waterproof.

I needed some extra storage for my outdoor furniture cushions. I was going to get something from Frontgate but looked at their cushion storage units and they ran well over a grand. Who is going to pay that just to store cushions? That's insanity. So, I got this thing. It's very easy to put together. Anyone with an average IQ can put this together inside of 20 minutes. I don't know about the weight limit. I weigh about 155 and I felt it "give" a tad when sitting down on it (not to the point of breaking but I wouldn't pile on 2 heavy-weight adults on this thing either). I see this mostly as storage and an extra bench for the kids to sit on in the summer but that's about it. Don't make it more than what it should be. Great buy for the money. It does exactly what I need it to do. I'm going to add a cushion on top of it to match the rest of my furniture so it'll blend in nicely. Beats the heck out of paying over a grand for something like this from an upscale catalog company...mainly just for cushion storage. You can't really gone wrong with this, especially when comparing to the other options that are available out there.

I decided to order this despite all the negative reviews and boy I'm glad I did!! The bench was delivered 3 days early in a near perfect shipping box. It took me approx 30 minutes to assemble with my 2 year old helper. I could go into more detail but I'll just say, if you're looking for a nice well made storage bench look no further!!

I read a lot of reviews before I bought this bench. Some of the negative reviews concerned me, but I bought it anyway at a discount price. As I followed the directions I realized that some of the problems people complained about were probably caused from trying to skip or not following each step in detail. When I finished putting the bench together I also noticed that it needed to be on a perfectly flat floor. If not it, caused a slight twist to the box and the lid would not fit correctly. It's better on a deck or concrete patio. I also added two eye bolts to the lid on the the bench to tye the pad to.

So I read many reviews before purchasing but I liked the look of the bench so went with it. First and foremost, none of my parts arrived broken as some reviews had stated. I looked over every piece as I unboxed it. Assembly was stupid easy. It's photos only, but they break it down very clearly for each step. At no point did I feel frustrated or confused. I used a screwdriver and a rubber mallet (not necessary.) I assembled this alone in a matter of minutes. It's worth noting I assembled this indoors on carpet. The finished product is very stable, feels durable enough (I'm 140lbs) and looks great. We'll see how this holds up over time. I cannot attest to its weatherproof capabilities or other outdoor related possibilities as of right now it's still indoors due to the April snowstorm that hit the Midwest. Once exposed to the elements, I'll gauge whether or not I trust it to hold up. My only complaint is that I did get this to store my patio cushions and they don't all fit properly, but that is absolutely no fault of the product itself. The dimensions are clearly listed prior to purchase. I made them fit, but it's not ideal and will not work in the long run.

We purchased this to be used as a double kitty condo for 2 feral cats we adopted. Our ferals don’t always want to cuddle/share the same space with each other hence the need for two sleeping areas. Over the last few years we have tried a lot of different solutions, but have not cared for the space they took up on the porch 6 months out of the year. Plus they all ended up looking like we had built the equivalent of a “Kitty Ghetto” on our porch. Lol! Some completely broke down, or looked trashy due to the weather, others just looked like the mixed mash of materials that they were. They all were, dry, and comfortable inside for the cats who also had 2 outdoor heating pad specifically for outdoor use with cats installed. In the long by run they still were not a permanent, or even semi-permanent solution- at least not for us, and definitely not for the front of our home. It’s not that we’re perfectionist, but the front porch is what everyone who comes to your house sees first. So we have been on the hunt for a better solution. One that would most importantly keep the Kat & Buddy comfortable & dry through what Mother Nature could throw at them, and something that looked nice. In order to turn these into cat condos we bought a good piece of plywood, & 2 small inexpensive pet doors (the opening in specific was 6 1/2” wide & tall) for the outer “doorways” & just in case the bench needed the extra support. We put the doors at each end. We then cut a piece of plywood to make a draft blocking wall on each end, and one for down the middle for those times when they wanted a little space from each other. The cat doors came with a template, so we used it to mark out all the cuts we made. We staged the cuts so that there wouldn’t be a continuous draft through the bench. The bench is also a comfortable seat for when we want to sit out on the porch! IF we were using it as outdoor storage for our seat cushions- it is quite spacious, and would be a great place to keep them when not in use! We absolutely DO recommend this bench regardless of your use! & We also hope our review is helpful to you! **Some extra notes on building a feral kitty shelter 😊- **In case you are reading this and have not yet created an outdoor shelter for your cats (tame or feral) your cat always needs a secondary opening so they can not be cornered by another animal, or even another cat. **Most ferals won’t use a shelter that they can be cornered in, or can’t see out of. Hence the reason we took the doors out of the door frames. (As seen in the photos) **We plan on putting hay, and some DE ( diametecous earth) in this weekend, but for now there is a blanket in both sides to cuddle into & stay warm. Hay is preferable because it does not absorb & hold moisture the way blankets/fabrics do. Hay also allows the cats to burrow in, or lay on top of it depending on the weather. **The DE is to spread in the bottom below the hay for any fleas, or flea eggs that might get carried in. **We are considering putting in a pvc tube with a screw on top (like they do for chickens sometimes) for the dry food we free feed in addition to the can of wet food they get in the afternoon. **Once the cats are used to it we may add insulation board on front & bottom, or top, but for now they are happy with their new shelter, and so are we! **For the first time builders - to entice the cats to check out new digs we feed the wet food in the doorways (small plates in the pictures) for the first few weeks So they have to go inside. **During freezing temps we have a couple of the outdoor cat heating pads even though with the shelter and hay they really don’t need it. They’re more for our our sense of well-being. **The porch is big enough we are thinking about adding a second one for summer so we can add a small fan and a water line. We really hope all of this helps you & your feral kitties!
