This container is exactly what I needed. Its large and weatherproof. The downside...the lockability is a complete joke, and its not especially portable. I knew this when buying it so its fine but keep that in mind if you purchase one. Currently I'm using it to store a Makita LXT rolling tool bag, small Makita accessory bag, and CLC 30 pocket tool bag. So far not a drop of water has gotten in...even while driving the truck while raining, and sitting around while raining.

Bought this to store emergency supplies for my house. I might recommend using multiple smaller ones if you are going to use it for this purpose, only because if you need to load it up and evacuate it could get heavy or need help loading. Sturdy plastic construction, ability to lock is a must as it might be storing valuable food and resources.

On 5-9-15 we got 9.75 inches of rain in less than 10 hours. Over 5 inches came within 2 hours according to an acquaintance’s electronic rain gauge. There was not a drop of water or wet feeling inside the box. It has several of my electric and hand tools. All were dry. This box was in the back of my pickup parked in the drive way. A lot of the time the wind was blowing from the West and the pickup was parked outside on the East side of the garage. Thus it was somewhat shielded - BUT not that much. I didn’t think the 1 latch would hold the lid tight enough but it did. I have a larger box in a trailer and water got into it a few weeks ago. There was only 1 of the 2 latches closed so that could be the reason.

This product is everything I wanted: it is light weight, roomy, and extremely durable. I have so many uses for it that I may need to order another.

I was a little hesitant spending as much money on a "storage container", if you know what I mean. But the investment is well worth it if you are looking for a container to hold items you care about. In my case, I keep the container in the back of my truck bed to hold various items when going about my everyday activity, whether for work or play. The containers are solid, hold more than you would think and keep your belongings dry if outside in the rain or snow when inside the container. The latch to close seems solid, I am very rough on stuff, I work in construction and often have tools rolling about the bed of truck, I intend on buying two more of these, one to hold emergency supplies and the other for camping supplies this summer. The money spent on these is reasonable, one of these is equal to 10 of the average plastic containers with the cheap lids that never fit right. I highly recommend these for a variety of uses. On long road trips, I will tie it down with a bungee cord to hold it in place better. It is also very solid and makes a good makeshift seat when outside. The 35 gallon sized one is a bit large to have to carry around on a daily basis, I also bought the 8 gallon sized container which works for items that you need to carry around often. In fact I bought two of those. I am done buying the cheap average storage containers no matter how inexpensive, these are far superior in quality and I hope they last a lifetime if taken care of. I have started to use these containers for storing my "emergency supplies" and as a way to store anything I would need if I had to leave my house in a hurry. My town has been hit twice by tornadoes which left my area without power for almost a week. It was nice having all my most needed supplies and belongings stored in one container which allowed me to grab it and go within a short period of time. You never know what the future holds and having these sturdy containers on hand helps in any emergencies.

I got the 35-gallon size to store some items in the basement that I wanted to be able to get to conveniently but also be able to lock up and keep out of the kids' hands. This box is absolutely perfect for what I intended. Maybe even a bit of overkill on my part (this thing is super solid) but better safe than sorry. It is very well made. Of course, I'm not truly putting it through its paces by using it in a truck bed or travelling through air ports with it or anything like that, but after receiving it and having a chance to see how well made it is, I have little doubt it would excel for those uses as well. Note: If you are looking on putting a lock on it, I recommend you get the "cable" style of Master combo lock that Amazon suggests. The latch hole might be a bit tricky with a different style of lock. Not impossible, but a heckuva lot harder to use than the cable.

Nice size container, little on the heavy side, lots storage room,if you are planning on storing pet food, like I am,you will have to let it air out or wash the inside, the container do have a strong rubber smell

Bought to hold all the lose accessories I keep in the back of my SUV. Works great! I hold it in place with Weathertech hold downs.

Heavy duty exactly what I was looking for. My only issue is that it should come with wheels because it's so heavy and bulky and is even worse when you put what you want in it

Rubbermaid has hit a homerun with this product line, great price to value, obviously there are more expensive entries in this category, but again cost is always a factor and overall this product meets the need for all practical purposes.
