I have several birdbaths and thought this would be perfect for at least one of the sizes. Since there are nozzles with different spray patterns, it will actually work in all of them. It does work when sun is overhead, but it is nice to see the spray come back all of a sudden. It powers up as soon as the sun hits and the spray is as nice as what you would see in a waterpark. My dogs and some visiting kids were enthralled by it. Because my birdbaths are easy to move, I can chase the sun. Also, the spray patterns are nice. The spray heights vary, but one got as high as 9 inches. Very, very pleased. Coming back for 2 more. My experience matched the videos already uploaded. The gift card is nice, but it did not influence my decision. This is well worth buying.

This thing is amazing!

I received this in the mail, and I'm glad to try it, because it's one of the only sunny days we've had for some time. I recently started watching and feeding birds in the backyard to make my backyard more suitable for birds and other creatures, so after hanging various feeders, I decided to have a basin. My research convinces me that birds are attracted by moving water and the shining water when they move in the sun. However, birdbath fountains are so expensive, and so are fountain pumps - I think that's great when there's a solar option of less than

This is SO cute!! I don’t have a bird bath so I set it up in a shallow planter and it is just making my birds so happy to have water. I put it on my deck so I’ll note if the water is getting low. My dog is fascinated with the water spray too... but I put it where he won’t tip it over. Perfect for our feathered friends in the hot summer months!

Perfect little gem

Take it out of the box and walk to my back deck. I immediately feel it start to vibrate, because the sun shines on its face. I put it in my basin and was glad to see a gentle flow of water coming out of the spring. I'm surprised how easy and affordable it is! The only problem is that it does need plenty of direct sunlight. I noticed that if a cloud flies overhead, it tends to bubbles slightly, but once the sun comes out, it flows high and full! It's a good purchase and do what it says! I look forward to seeing if the birds like it as much as I do.

Great little fountain. Beautiful. It's worth buying.

Works exactly as advertised... when it's sunny (or even a little overcast), the solar power is enough to create a nice constant spray of water. It comes with different nozzle heads for various heights. If it's too windy, suggest you remove the fountain nozzle and let it just dribble out, or else the water will spray out. On a windy day, with the fountain nozzle on, the water will be gone within an hour. I would imagine this is the case for any fountain, wind blows the water. As for suction, I just got a couple of small double-sided tape pieces and it's held like a champ to the bottom of my bird bath. I didn't want it floating so the tape worked well. As for the solar power, it HAS to be in direct sunlight. If you walk by it and your shadow goes over any part of the fountain, it will stop.

I’m so happy with this little fountain! We bought it for the bird bath and we love the charm and ambience it brings to our back yard. I am especially impressed with how well the back up battery works it almost never shuts off. Even when the sun goes down it takes over an hour for it to start fizzling out. Even on semi overcast days it does well!
