Probably the cleanest dash cam available

After trying many dash cams I think I found my favorite one. The VAVA is a perfect blend of simplicity and utility. They provide you with all the tools you need to install the camera in a super clean and tidy way. Lots of cabling provided so you won’t run short. So whether you have a Miata or a Denali, you’ll be good. The app is really well design and when connected you can see both cameras with a picture in picture setup. But when reviewing footage you will get a separate clip for the front and the back which is super handy. Install is just a little time consuming since you need to take time to map out where you will send the wire but it’s straight forward. The fact that there is no screen also is a nice thing in my opinion since it’s a) not a distraction and b) one less thing for thieves to look for. It simply looks like a part of the mirror assemble. The system powers on automatically and records with an audible sound and the camera is connected with a magnet. That is one of my favorite features. So if you do happen to leave your car in a sketchy area, you can quickly detach the camera and put it in the glove box. Also, it allowed it to swivel if you need to quickly change the angle of the camera. Very solid setup.

The VAVA Dual Dashcam is a high-quality dashcam setup. The video quality of both cameras is impressive in daylight and nighttime scenarios. Shortly after purchasing the unit, I had the windshield in my car replaced and experienced complications with the remounting process. I submitted an inquiry to the customer service team regarding the problem I was experiencing. I was contacted immediately by Gemma with the Customer Service team. Gemma addressed my issue directly and supplied me with a replacement unit the next day. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of this customer service experience and the promptness of Gemma resolving my issue. The entire process was hassle-free and was handled with the most professional interaction I’ve ever had with a customer service team. I am a very satisfied customer for sure. A sleek, stylish, modern dash cam

This dash cam is a perfect example on how you can have simple and modern without sacrificing functionality. All the way from the packaging to the camera’s actual functionality you get quality. Inside the box you are presented with the dash cam’s nicely packaged components, which includes the front and rear dash cam, power cable, rear dash cam connector cable, dash cam remote for snapshots, 12v outlet car adapter, suction cup mount, wire guiding clips, and it even comes with a tool to pop the panels off of your car in order to run the wire discreetly if you choose to do so. The actual dash cam looks similar to a hockey puck but smaller. I love the simple design and it’s compactness. In order to make it discreet and compact, the device does not have any buttons or screens which I love. Why would you ever want a dash cam with a screen if it’s purpose is to monitor your driving conditions, not you monitoring it, monitoring you. That being said, because of its compactness, I was able to have mounted behind my rear view mirror and it stays out of sight, out of mind. A lot of other manufacturers fail when it comes to the mounting technique that used, but not this one. Instead of using a permanent mount that leaves a sticky residue on your windshield when you finally decide to remove it, this camera uses a suction cup mount that has a switching mechanism to lock it’s suctioned position. The best part of this is that the camera attaches to the mount via a strong magnetic plate, so there is no risk to snapping clips like other mounts when you want to put away the dash cam while not in use. As mentioned before, the dash cam has no screen or buttons for you to fiddle with. That being said, it does have a phenomenal app that interfaces with the camera where you can look at the past records, view a live view, adjust setting (resolution, loop rate, g-force sensitivity, etc.), download past recordings, take pictures, and record video. The app is simple to use and pairs to the camera via built in wi-fi. Above all things considered, the most important functionally of a dash cam is it’s ability to record your drive and it does so exceptionally well. The picture quality is great and you can easily read the license plate of the cars ahead of you. Give this dash cam a chance. It’s a great price given the quality of this camera.

Premium design | High definition videos | Quick snap photos

Packaging and the built quality of this product feels very premium. The front dashcam is magnetically mounted to the suction cup, which gives you a 360 degree turning range. Snapshot button adds a neat functionality by giving you the chance to shoot those spontaneous pictures and videos on the road for which you didn’t have the time to pull out your phone. It comes with a 3A 2 port USB car charger and cables that are long enough for it to be routed on the side of the wind shield and over the headboard so you could hide the wires. All you need is a micro SD card and you are good to go. The video quality was very clear and there were no issues in reading details, like license plate numbers or other texts, with clarity. The night vision was impressive and details out the front window were very clear even at night. Videos are stored as 1 min files. If you use the snapshot button, then videos are 20 seconds (both front and rear dashcams) and stored in a separate folder dedicated for snapshot photos and videos. The device automatically saves the emergency videos in a separate folder to prevent the data from getting overwritten. Wide angle lens is also good with the minimal fishbowl distortion, you can see the pedestrian walking across in the left corner of the uploaded video (to the end). Snapshot button was very innovative, and worked flawlessly. A single click snaps a photo and a long press shoots a 20 sec video, both of which are automatically stored in a separate folder in the SD card for easy access. This device doesn’t come with a GPS module, although you could buy Vava’s GPS module and connect it to the dashcam. The App lets you look at the videos real-time when your phone is connected to Dashcam’s Wi-Fi. I used a Pixel 3 to connect to the app, although the app connectivity was good most of the time, it still needs improvement as it needed me to reconnect to the dashcam a couple of times. The required tools for installation were provided in the package, so the installation was a breeze. It took about 30-40 mins to route and hide the wires. Overall, I would recommend this device for its video quality, design and versatility at this price point.

Fantastic camera that was in my car for less than 24 hours

It's a great camera with an app that works much better than other dash cam's apps. The picture and sound quality are great. Installation was easy and the wires are plenty long. I had a pretty long car and there was more than enough to reach the back camera. Now the reason it was in my car for less than 24 hours is because I got T-boned the next morning after installing it and they car may be totaled. I tried uploading the videos but it wouldn't take work for some reason so all I can do is some screen shots. After the accident it sensed it as an emergency and automatically saved it in the appropriate folder. It loops in 1, 2, or 3 min intervals. The functionality and interface of the app work really well.

Excellent design of the VAVA dashcam

Installation: This was my 4th time installing a dashcam and with the help of a friend the process was easier than I thought. Thanks to the included tool it was easy to hide the rear dashcam wire in the lining of the car. I plan on hardwiring the front by dashcam into my fuse box which would get the front wire out of the way, unfortunately a hardwire kit isn't included. Note: if you plan to remove the rubber hose between your trunk and roof to run the wire through it, make sure you don't run your USB wire with the L-shaped dongle to the back. Run the I-shaped dongle to the back or you'll never get the USB cable through the rubber hose. Setup: Installing the app is easy and the entire process only took a few minutes. I had some initial difficulty connecting my phone to the webcam, turning off my 4g fixed the issue and once connected it was easy to access the app/webcam. Use: Someone pulled out in front of me a few days after installation so I decided to retrieve the footage and watch it. Since everything is time stamped it was a breeze to find it. There is also a feature within the app to clip the footage so you can download only what you need to your phone and share it. The video quality can be downloaded in a few different formats and you can easily make out license plates on the high quality download option. Overall this is an easy product to install and use, and does a great job as a dashcam.

Overall great quality, does the job well.

I drive for a living and this is a great product especially when you're constantly on the road. The VAVA Dash Camera is very well packaged. The VAVA Dash Cam also came with a warranty card and user manual which made the set-up simple and easy. The VAVA Dashcam has clear sound quality and nicely captured visuals of both day and night. Overall very satisfied with the product, definitely a great investment!

Absolutely Amazing!!!

I am SO impressed with the quality of the cameras. Actually looks better than my iphone. The installment is super easy for front and back. I was wanting to run the cords underneath the seats and floor mats but turned out the visual instructions in the manual was the easiest way to go lol just stuck them in the rubber door parts like magic. The app is just as easy! Also love how you can mute the sounds if you wanted. *The ONLY flaw is you can't review your recordings AWAY from the dash wifi unless you remember to download them before you get out of the car (or take the sim card with you). This is my first dash cam and I am just loving it. The 360 swivel is amazing. I would upload some pics but they look just as awesome as the rest of the reviews haha Will definitely be referring this to friends!!

works great, app to play back video on iphone easy to use

I bought this because if I have an accident and it’s not my fault I will have proof. I wanted it installed before my vacation and the hardwired kit wasn’t available in time so I HAVE to remember to unplug it everytime I turn off the car or it will drain my battery. Im going to have it hard wired soon. I have forgotten three times but was not gone too long so my battery was okay. I have a self charging battery you plug into the wall to charge up in your house in the car just in case I forget overnight. It really is a great feeling when you see someone texting and driving distracted that you at least have video proof of it if something goes wrong. It also has a feature that if someone bumps the car , or has a parking lot accident the dash cane comes on for 15 seconds to record the incident. it’s very sensitive, slamming the door can activate it so that feature works but it’s not 360 view it you get hit on the side. I really like have a video witness on board, it’s a good feeling, And it has its own wifi and i can play back video right away in my iphone. i don’t have to take a memory card to a computer to watch play back which I doubt i’d have with me at the scene of accident. This way you can also show a police officer right away what happened

Good picture and sound quality

Our previous car got to an accident and our dashcam was not installed because the windshield was replaced and it used a sticky tape mount so I never got to putting it back on :(. Got this for the suction type mount, and thank goodness because our windshield has a crack again! Install was easy, especially with the suction mount. You can move it if you change your mind. Downside is it makes it bulkier than the sticky tape mounted ones. I checked the recordings on my laptop and the picture quality is good - I can read license plates, and audio is good too - I can hear my wife singing on the background LOL. I was worried about connecting to the phone based on other reviews, but I was able to connect mine multiple times without issues.
