Cable works, but make sure you use the right setting!

The cable DOES works, but the ps2 system is quite old and my TV is a new smart tv. When using this cable and get the perfect clear game view, make sure you set your TV input to “AV” , and NOT the “Component” input. Otherwise you will get a fuzzy grey screen with crappy visuals and sounds (pic posted). I ALMOST thought the cable didn’t didn’t work! 😅😅 but it’s because I’d forgotten which input to use!

Folk, I don’t know about you, but I have so many cables packed away. Cables for the dozen video game systems not currently hooked up. Cables for vhs players, cables for tape decks, cables for laser disc players. Cables for any number of old tech that I will dig out once in a very blue moon. And half the time, I can’t find the right cable. I’ll spend maybe an hour looking for it and half the time I still won’t find it. That’s why I bought this cable this week. I’m going to throw away all my cables. Having them isn’t helping. I’ll just buy a replacement on Amazon when I need a new one.

i wish the cord was a little longer but it worked really well when my ps3 stopped showing picture through the hdmi output. i am satisfied with this purchase and would recommend this cord for anyone looking to replace the one they had for their ps3

Rad Replacement

I wrote a poor review not knowing it was actually the old CRT TV I was using that didn't have a working AV input. I plugged it into my newer smaller CRT and the picture is actually very clear. However the stiffness experienced when trying to plug this cable into the PS2 was excruciatingly horrid. It bent one of the prongs inside my PS2 which luckily for me was a easy fix.

Works like a charm!

This works well in my PS1 and 2. If you have a port that was never used very much, this will be a little "snug" but if your port is worn then this might work in your favor. Either way you can't go wrong with this. I'd buy another if need be.

Nice

Used this and an hdmi cable to get my ps2 to work with the new tv. Picture quality is as good as you can get when mixing old and new technology.

Works for PS3

Worked perfectly on my son PS3. HDM damage the portal and if you have a TV that has an AV portal is perfect.
