Great fun for my Son

Great twin pack of walkie talkies, which my Son asked to buy to give him added security whilst playing in the fields behind our house. Having already lost a phone in the fields, these are a great way of keeping in touch with him without having to worry about the safety of a £200 phone!!! The sound quality is excellent, and the range is fantastic! For info, it is approximately 1 mile to the brow of the hill from our house and my Son & I are effectively able to communicate at that distance :) I'm sure the range would extend even more; however, my Son is not allowed to venture any further so I haven't been able to test it. They are compact, but to be honest they don't need to be any bigger - they easily fit in your hand, pocket, bag, etc..... Fab little gadgets, which are perfect for our needs.

Better than any other WTs we have tried

These WTs seem very good. Slightly more expensive than some others we have had but worth the extra so far. Clarity is very good but we haven't tried more than 20m apart yet so don't know how good the range is. Will update to 5* if they work 2k apart as advertised! Nice feature is the beep when you stop talking so you don't need to say 'over' all the time.

Great walkie

Great walkie talkies. I brought these for my nephews as a gift. They have a large house and like most boys like to play games. With these they can finally communicate (which they found extremely fun) without the shouting. The range is great and is clear both ways each time and they are simple to use. The design is sturdy and they work great even though they have been dropped a few times already. I also like that they are small in size and so can easily fit in their pocket. Great walkie talkies.

Better than expected

"Got these for my son at Christmas. Brilliant size, takes batteries and clear sound. I actually sat talking on one thinking I was talking to my son and his uncle upstairs. Played on it for over 10 minutes then noticed the other talkie was on the table next to me and the random guy on the other end was listening to me say ' it's mummy over now you have to do what I say ' I hope whoever I spoke to found it as funny as I did. So really the range is really good."

Great item. Really easy to use

Great item. Really easy to use. Good sound quality. Launched my four year old out on the farm with one of these and now he can get me to fetch and carry for him at a distance! So, just what we needed! Can't commend on the range as he doesn't stray far from the house, but he thinks he's a policeman wearing it and I have peace of mind that he can contact me if he gets into any bother. Really pleased with them, and feel they were good value.

Great present.

Bought as a Christmas present for my grandson who was absolutely delighted. We haven't tested the limits of the range as yet but sound quality is good, they are easy to use and battery life has not been a problem this far. They appear to be robustly made considering the price so I have no real worries there. It's worth noting that these devices can only work well when used with line-of-sight, buildings hills or dense trees etc. will all have a detrimental effect on the achievable range.

Great fun, easy setup but no chance of 3km range

"I used this to communicate with another friend in a different car on a recent 667 mile road trip and these were so useful to coordinate where to go and when to stop etc. Made the journey lots more fun as they are really easy to use and set up. Down side is that you sometimes pick up other conversations and the quality in transmission deteriorated depending on distance, weather and what roads we were on. But overall for the money these are fantastic for a bit of fun and aside from the occasional drop in signal. They were very reliable and very useful. Would recommend."

I bought these for a road trip up to the ...

I bought these for a road trip up to the highlands of Scotland doing the north coast 500. There was two cars with caravans in convoy and we hardly ever went further than 500 m apart from each other. The mobile phone coverage was very sparse and these were a God send. If you are expecting these to reach further than 500m in a straight line well I'd forget it. I would never do another road trip without these.

Happy Costumer

"Firstly I ordered these as a birthday present for my youngest daughter so my review is based on her and her siblings using these walkie talkies as toys. The reasons I picked these are 1) as they have limited range and this reduces the chance the walkie talkies will pick up something I would not want my kids listening into. 2) they appear bright and colourful and are a nice size for small hand. Batteries proved very easy to install and the handsets worked with no issues. A quick read of the instructions and volume, channel and sensitivity can al be changed with ease but not so simple my kids can change them by accident. I usually live in a fairly dense urban area and these walkie talkies appear to have a range of between 200 and 300m while surrounded by all manner of two and three storey buildings, something which surprised me as despite the claims in the description of 2miles plus range I know the 100 is in the description for a reason. My kids have really put these through the mill and the hand sets have proven tough enough that they are not showing any ill effects after 3 months of use and are still going strong. My kids love playing with these and I would highly recommend them for use as a child toy. The limited range however makes them practically useless as proper walkie talkies so I would have to recommend something with much better range."

Good for the price, batteries don't last long.

Useful for us to communicate around the house or when one of us goes to the park (they work for us as we live next to a park and so the range covers this). Clear and easy to use, however the batteries do not last long and so these cant be left on for very long. We accidentally left them on over night and the batteries drained completely even though they weren't being used. Great as a toy or for a bit of fun when out on bike rides etc. but not for more constant use.
