It took 2 weeks of trial and error until I finally found a bottle that my breastfed son would take. A lot of it has to do with mother's nipple shape and for me, warming the breastmilk hotter than warm worked. Ultimately MAM is what my son likes but I'd like to share my experience for future mothers shopping for bottles. Tommee: The first we tried. Worked the first time but after that, my son would not drink from this bottle again. Comotomo: Second bottle we tried. Nipple shape is similar to Tommee however it is a bit longer, thinner, and much softer. My son drank from this the first time but then would not drink from it after. NUK: The third bottle we tried. NUK claims that the nipple shape resembles a nipple when sucked. I do think this is true however after a few attempts my son did not take to this bottle at all. I do know NUK works for a lot of other breastfed babies. MAM: The winner! It took 2 attempts but he takes this bottle all the time now. I think this nipple resembles my breast the most. Some reviewers have said this bottle leaks but I've found as long as the bottle is correctly aligned it does not leak. I also do not sterilize via the microwave nor do I use a bottle warmer which might contribute to leakage. It does take a few attempts to really find out which bottle your little one will prefer. Hope this helps other mothers who are trying to get their breastfed babies to take a bottle.

These fit the mam bottles, obviously, but I found out they also fit my Nuby training sippy cup.

Man, I feel really stupid. I did not know that newborns need a change in flow from bottles. If you don't upgrade the flow, then they will suck too hard on the bottles since the flow is restricted for newborns and that can lead to pressure issues with their ears and can lead to ear infections. Take heed! No matter what manufacturer you use, you need to upgrade the bottle nipples based on their age. MAM makes the best bottles in my opinion (reducing colic, ease of cleaning, number of parts, etc) and after my son's first ear infection, I tell everyone I know to remember to upgrade the flow for your child.

Our baby loves Mam nipples...and ONLY Mam nipples ( or the breast) Size 1 we use for her breastmilk bottle Size 2 we use for her breastmilk bottle with added in cereal ( 4 months old) Size 3 I ordered but haven't used yet, shes not ready yet but it has the same size and shape she loves These nipples are made well and hold up to being sterilized after every use They have the number 1, 2, or 3 right on the nipple so it's easy to tell them all apart **Bonus they also work perfectly with Lansinoh bottles! We find that the Mam bottles dont show any measurement volume under 2oz on the side of the bottle and our baby is a slow sometimes fussy bottle user because she is primarily breastfed so its good to know how much shes eating once the bottle is around 1-1.5 ounces or so. I like knowing how much shes taking in so with this being the only nipple she will take I'm glad it can be used on more than one type of bottle. It does not fit Munchkin Latch but I was able to use it with Avent with closing it very carefully around the edges :).

My baby was born premature at 25 weeks and spent 5 months in the NICU. He was having a hard time with the suck and swallow, and the hospital had a hard time finding a good nipple that he would stick to. He came home with a Gtube because he would sometimes take all the bottle, but other times he wouldn’t want it. I was gifted many different bottles and I had nothing but time with my baby so we started our journey on finding the right one. Out of all the big name brands, MAM was the only one that he would take all of his feed volume with, every single time. He is using the size 0 extra slow flow. I am happy to say that we haven’t had to use his Gtube in almost 2 weeks thanks to this nipple! I really love the style of the bottles as well, they are easy for me to hold because it is wider at the bottom, and it’s more narrow at the top so my baby likes to put his hands on it like he’s holding it which will be an easy adjustment for when he does start to hold it on his own. I love that it comes apart from the top and the bottom, which makes a thorough clean so easy. I know all babies are different, but if you’re struggling with finding the right nipple for your baby, don’t hesitate to give this one a try!

Such a lifesaver! We were struggling to get baby transitioned from breast only to a bottle. The only bottles/nipple combo she would tolerate was the man anticolic bottles, but easily got frustrated. Finally realized it was because the flow was soooo much slower than my letdown! (I have overactive letdown.) We also tried a medium flow, but she would still get really frustrated. The fast flow nipple was perfect! For any mommas struggling to make the transition and who also has a very strong letdown, I would 1000000% recommend trying this nipple!

I originally planned to use avent bottles and purchased many of them. However son drowned himself while feeding. I received a mam bottle in a samplebox. My son took to the nipple so much better than the avent. I purchased more mam bottles and these nipple. Been using them for a couple weeks now. I like the avent bottles over the mam just due to the almount of parts to clean. Randomly I put the mam nipple on the avent bottle and omg perfect!! The mam products have been great especially the nipple flow and shape!!

There seems to be a big difference between size 1 slow flow and size 0 extra slow flow. Size 1 is what comes with all the bottles when bought new, but it’s too much for our baby. The 0 is perfect and we only knew about it because of a random free bottle sample we got. We’re happy with this bottle and the 0 nipple - it’s much easier to clean than Dr Brown’s that we used with our first kid, and we’ve had no gas issues - yay! Please note that Amazon seems to have these stickers wrong. Our first order was a size 1 bottle that had a size 0 Amazon warehouse sticker on it. This is a 5 star item and I won’t dock a star for a warehouse issue, but we would have been in trouble had we counted on this being the right item in the original shipment time, FYI.

I have 3 kids and have always used these bottles. With my last son, he will only use these nipples, but he somehow bites the crap out of these and rips the tip of it off so I have to keep replacing them. I never had this problem with any of my other kids, so i would recommend these... I plan to use these with my next baby as well. Also... They NEVER leak. Easy to clean. 5 stars.. Replacement nipples are cheapest on Amazon and come the next day so its a win win!

I love these so much!!! We tried Avent, Philips, Playtex, Dr Brown, everything we could think of and we finally tried the MAM nipples and bottle with our baby and she FINALLY took a bottle without spitting up, choking or just crying and having a rough time of it. These are so different from every other nipple out there because, one the nipple is pinched just like a real nipple and second the nipple is textured. It is almost gritty feeling but it just is not smooth like most all the other types of nipples out there. This is just what our baby needed and I am so glad we found these!!! If your baby does not seem to like other nipples that these might save your life. These are quite a bit faster than the newborn nipple but we found that when we tried these and our baby was over two months, that these were the perfect speed of drip. They fit perfectly on either size bottle, the five or the nine ounce. I find that they are great in the dishwasher. Sometimes I hand wash them and they are not easily scraped by bottle cleaning brushes.
