Easy to install! It works!

My driver door on my 2016 4Runner wasn’t behaving like the other locks. Hit my remote all the doors except that one worked. Occasionally it would lock and remain locked unless I used my key. Figured I’d look into replacing it vs going to the dealer or shop and getting a large bill for a small problem. A quick search online came with prices typically $185 and up with about a 3-5 day ship time. A quick look into Amazon and I found this one. For the price the risk seems minimal so I figured “why not?” I received it next day (gotta love Prime!) and got to work. You can find out how to do just about anything on YouTube, so a quick 10 minute video helped me anticipate what I’d need to do. I wanted to do my own, but A) it was 100 degrees today and B) there’s a million of them online already. Side by side they are similar although the plastic housing feels like it might be a bit thinner on this one vs factory and the foam padding isn’t quite as dense. But hey, for the price you gotta shave something somewhere. Installation was pretty uneventful and straightforward thanks to pre-planning. Everything hooked up easy and everything works so far!

Safety

My daughters drivers door lock stop working & if anyone has priced these at a parts store you know they are VERY expensive and overly priced. This is the same product that they carry in for a quarter of its price and works perfectly. Now I don’t have to worry about her not be able to get in her car!!

I used this door lock actuator in my 2012 Toyota Camry SE. This part was not quite easy to install, but also not too difficult for amateur like me. Plus, dealer wanted almost 3 times as much for part as I paid on Amazon.
