Easy to use, more durable than animal hair

My original shaving set came with an animal-hair brush, and I never really foubd it to work well. It lost hair easily, it didn't shed water well between uses, plus you're rubbing dead animal hair into your skin. I think this synthetic brush hair handles very well. It sheds water much quicker, strands don't clump together, and it still whips a decent lather up. I don't need a pound of lather every time I shave, so I appreciate this brush's more modest suds generation. I holds later well, and spreads it very evenly; the animal hair had a tendency to "bombs away" at once, without allowing for more even spreading. I like this brush, a lot.

Great value exactly what you are looking for.

Exactly what I was looking for and at the best possible price. Started shaving with this and Proraso Italian Shaving Soap. Feel like my day in 1970. Update: 3 months later still working great. the wood handles is still in perfect shape ( i assumed that would decay over time but no isses at all) . Buying one for my dad for fathers day now.

Brush works very well for me. I rotate it with my horse hair brush. I like that I don't have to soak this one before use.

Nice soft brush

Been using this brush for close to a year and it hasn't shed more than 2 bristles. Being synthetic, it never stinks like many natural brushes and the soft bristles make a wonderful lather!

I decided that I needed to get into old school shaving recently. But I'm also pretty cheap, and not sure if I would stick with it. So I bought a DE razor (a Weishi) and this brush. At my current level of ignorance, I figure I won't appreciate an expensive brush much more than this one. So far I've been using it with either a cheap bar of body soap or some Barbasol shaving cream I had lying around. The brush really makes the lathering up process seem much more important. It makes me feel like a star of golden age cinema. Here's lookin' at you, kid *pistol fingers*. Maybe I'll try some actual meant-for-wet-shaving shave soap next. Eventually I'd also like to try straight razor shaving, but I need to develop a large whetstone collection first.

Game changer!

Bought this for my boyfriend along with SLS-free shaving soap, and he loves it! Traditional shaving creams irritated his skin so much that he could only shave every two or three days, but with the brush and shaving soap, he can shave every day without problem, and he says he's never had such a close comfortable shave. (Plus his four-year old finds the brush fascinating!)

Great brush!

Great brush. Even after a few months it works great. Even though it's obvious it's synthetic, it is super soft and hasn't shed one bristle yet.

I’m new to traditional shaving and this is the first brush I’ve used so I don’t have any baseline, but I really enjoy this brush. I get a good lather on my shaving soap and use the brush to spread it out on my face. It goes on great, isn’t scratchy, and I haven’t had any lost bristles. I’m happy. :)
