Make sure to charge the unit before using. The light will glow red and turn to green when charged. Note: that a wall charger is not included, only a short USB to Micro USB B cable. I plugged it into my older computer and it did not take very long to charge. I found the images to be very clear. The handle gets warm but the tip that is close to the skin stays cool. The only feature that is lacking is the ability to adjust the amount of light. The instructions that came with the unit were lacking as they missed a few steps, but I was able to figure it out. To connect to the ear camera you need to turn the camera on and then go to your phone and turn on the Wi-Fi. Then go to the bebird app and click on continue and it should connect. The app works well. It allows you to do a wide view or a more focused view. The main page of the app shows the amount of battery remaining and how many minutes of viewing you have left. I just wish you could control the amount of light. Other than that, it works great.

Works great but app requests GPS

Works really well. It also asks to use your GPS location which there is no good reason to do so. You can just deny it access, but it will ask every time you open it up. Other than that this wifi camera spoon thing works great! I was able to remove some odd stringy pieces of earwax from my ear. Would recommend.

The answer to cleaning your ears yourself

I wish I had known about a product like this years ago. I have so much trouble getting my ears cleaned by myself. I’m the person who doesn’t do well with cotton swabs and instead of cleaning my ear the wax goes deeper into the canal. I’ve been using the tips of Bobby pins to clean my ears and scoop the wax out which has been fine but I always wonder if my ears are actually clean. This device is such a game changer because not only does it come with 4 different ear scoops to choose from but the wireless capability of connecting it to your phone via WiFi through the app “bebird” gives you peace of mind that your ears are 100% clean because you can see the inside of your ears from your phone. When you log into the app, it also tells you the remaining battery and the remaining time before you need to charge the device again.

Very convenient and safe ear wax remover

Very good idea item. Normally picking ear wax out from ears is really hard and painful. This item solved the problem immediately. Very convenient to use. Now I have confidence to pick ear wax. Very good.

High quality, innovative, easy to use, and very affordable.

It is remarkable how far USB microscope devices have come. This would have cost a fortune a few years ago. The gyro correction is great. In the app you select the right or left ear and it keeps the image upright and stable. This makes a huge difference in the usability of the scope. The pick(s) fit perfectly on the scope and function great, but should be used with a lot of caution. The gyroscopic correction makes using the picks easy and without the correction it would be unsafe. The image quality is great and a steal for the price. If the image is cloudy it is because you got ear goo on the lens. Very nice app. Works the way it should. The folks in Shenzhen are making innovative high quality products for dirt cheap. I like it.

Make sure battery is fully charged

The scope itself is pretty cool...it’s wireless and lights up once you press the start button on the app. The quality of the image is decent...i suppose it could be better but it’s sufficient for cleaning out your ear. I do wish it came with a bag or storage container though. However, there is a major problem with the app that limits viewing time to a few seconds before it stops. I’m waiting for a response from the company but if I don’t get one soon, I’ll probably return it. Update: problem solved - the company responded and told me that I just needed to make sure the battery was fully charged...and now it is working as expected. Thanks!!

Goodbye Ear Wax

I was skeptical on purchasing one of these devices since I used Q-tip everyday to clean my ear after a shower so i figure my ears were spotless. I took a chance cause i have been hearing people been using the earwax candle method and head to the doctor to clean out their ears. So i took a chance and purchase this Digital Otoscope cause its wireless and connects to multiple OS platform. So once i received the product i was excited to connect the device to my iOS and see whats inside. After a few minutes, i was able to connect the device and used the device. I started to use the device and lets just say, just cause you use Q-tips everyday, you should definitely use this device to look inside. You never know what you will find. Highly recommend and everyone should get one.

Great for parents with kids who get ear infections

We bought this as all three of our kids get ear infections and we thought it could help with saving a trip to the pediatrician every time one if them pulls on their ears. We have a regular otoscope, but it can tricky to position it just right. This was much better as I could take pictures or video to send to the doc. I was surprised by the quality of the image. Now, I can clean out their ears at the same time as I look at their ears. I was nervous at first, but the guard helped ease my fears. I will say it was still too wide to fit in my 9-month gold's ear canal, but it was great for my 3-year old and 5-year old.
