Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!
I am an avid mystery novel reader and this is one of the best books I've ever read! I was hooked at page 1. Skalka's prose are so graceful and elegant as she pulls you into this quaint community, but once you're on the inside you will find it's not so quaint at all. The main character Dave Cubiak is a tortured soul, but lovable at the same time. Just like the roads in Door County, there are a lot of twists and turns in this story. It will keep you in suspense and wanting more. This is Skalka's FIRST mystery novel and I am anxiously anticipating the next (in June)! Superb job Ms. Skalka!!!!! Pick up a copy, you will not have reader's remorse!!! :)
