The player is very easy to use, is lightweight and portable, the batteries last longer than anticipated, it is easy to load and the sound reproduction is excellent, I consider the player to be of very good value, my wife is highly delighted as she uses it to listen to Audio Books as she is only partially sighted.. Lord B..

I was a member of a rock band in the 1980's, alot of material was on tapeI wanted to convert it to digital medium, this unit was perfect for the jobIt took me back dealing with a cassette player again, how far we've come, butyou dont forget, its easy to use, you will need to download itunes on your pc (annoyingly so)for us non apple brain washed users, but you can take the music file off, I used a free versionof Audacity to re-edit, great piece of kit, recommend them boththe tape converter comes with software which is fairly basic, but enough to do the jobso all my old cassette tape's are now history and the music is now Mp3....brilliant,take you time in leaning how to use it (I know impossible to wait that long) but it will pay off......enjoy

it is a little fragile on the construction side of things, the door does feel like it can snap off at any minute. But treat it well and it will do what it has got to do. But for the price? I can't complain. Oh did I have some fun with this! I managed to transfer old recordings we made as kids from the old tapes i kept in my loft for 30 years! 30 years?? Oh man......

Purchased so I could convert some old cassette tapes to mp3 format. Worked as well as you could have hoped. Don't expect perfect audio quality as they are old tapes. But we wanted to do it for sentimental value as much as anything. Cannot complain. The fact it works as an actual walkman is nice bonus.

Does the job....!!! But be aware(important) you must adjust the mp3 settings on audacity software from 128 to 192!!...128 quality is poor but 192 does the job perfect!! Very happy..only criticism is the earphones are tacky but cheap to replace..recommended to convert all your old cassettes.

Ok, I normally struggle just printing a letter out, so the thought of trying to to recover an old recording from 30 years ago on an old C15 cassette found in a shed didn't fill me with confidence. A quick search and £15 later, I'm reliving my misspent youth and listening to our band play and wondering how the hell did we manage to record this stuff! 30 mins later I'm burning Cd's and working on the sleeve art to send this resurrected recording off to my old bandmates. My ratings...... I'm old, anything sounds good, so "sound quality" gets 5 stars. I can use it, so "Easy of use" gets 5 stars. I've done what I wanted to do and it's still working, so "Battery life" gets 5 stars too. In 1986 you could go out and get drunk and get chips on the way home with $19, in 2019 you can listen to your old tapes and remember being young and stupid for £15. Would i buy it again?.........Yes. Would I go back to 1986 again?..............uummmmm.......????????

I was looking for a simple cassette player so I could play all my old cassette tapes, Was pleasantly surprised when I found this one, especially as it was an excellent price, PLUS it has a radio and also records on to cassette tapes. It arrived promptly but unfortunately 2 of the buttons didn't work properly. I contacted the seller, and they couldn't have been more helpful, they sent me a prepaid postage label, to return it, and despatched another one when they received the faulty one. The recorder arrived today, and works perfectly. I am very pleased with it, it has a good sound. I would definately recommend it. BUT more to the point, the seller is absolutely brilliant, so helpful and nice, and I would certainly buy from them again. After all it isn't their fault the machine was faulty.

The software has an easy to follow manual that will get your copying your old tapes with ease. The add sound filters and "clean up track" options are also easy to apply to the tracks. Once saved in wav/mp3 you can than "burn" the tracks to a CD or download to you mini computer (know as a phone).

I haven’t had a discount or anything else from the manufacturer to write this review. This cassette player will feed music into your computer provided you have installed AUDACITY or similar audio/USB program. It then allows you to export that music into MP3 format provided you installed free software called LAME (takes about a minute to do) First, the geography of the installation. BEFORE you plug the cassette player in:- 1. You need a computer. Don’t bother with the CD of the software, it’s a free package called AUDACITY. Google their website and download the latest. Install it where it suggests. 2. Run the program. 3. Under HELP, open the manual - it looks like a website but it isn’t. It’s on your hard drive. 4. Look for the section in the manual which explains how to install LAME (which you need if, and only if, you are going to create MP3 files) 5. Open the LAME website, click the Windows install and it will download. Install LAME. You won’t see it anywhere, it just needs to be on your computer - takes just seconds. 6. Close AUDACITY 7. Unpack the cassette play, plug the USB cable into it and then into a USB on the computer. Treat the unit gently, it is delightfully packed and presented but it is a low cost item. 8. Place the cassette player as far away from the computer as possible, dont let the USB cable cross any devices, hard drives or cables. Place it on something soft. Turn your mobile phone off to prevent any interference. 9. Load AUDACITY 10. In the microphone dropdown, choose the USB option. 11. In Transport, choose “play through” so you can hear it on the computer speakers. You’ll see a tick beside the option to show it’s enabled. You MIGHT need to close AUDACITY and open it again for it to be enabled, I did. 12. Click the red record button in AUDACITY 13. Press PLAY on the cassette player. You’ll see the music coming in on a moving chart, like a heart monitor. 14. When you’ve finished, press STOP in AUDACITY and STOP on your casssette player. 15. You can press the PLAY button in Audacity to hear th

Bought this to digitise my old audio books before the tapes degraded too badly. I've done a few tapes so far and can say that this bit of kit is exactly what I hoped it'd be.The hardware feels pretty solid. The only down point is the cassette cover which feels a little flimsy, but not in danger of breaking any time soon. The controls are as you'd expect and work just like old walkmans etc.Like other reviewers I've been recording into Audacity rather than into the default software. The default software is great for determining that the hardware is working correctly, but I wanted more control over the recording. The unaltered audio quality is acceptable, but you can then run the audio through Audacity's noise cancelling effect and it sounds like it came from a CD rather than tape.
