beautiful color and detail

For Serious Chess Players Only

Still learning how best to use this, but it sure looks like it's going to make my preparation and study time much more efficient. UPDATE: I've been using this for about three weeks now, and it's awesome! In fact, I've sold off a lot of my old chess books and now use this as my primary tool for opening prep. I HIGHLY recommend that you also purchase Jon Edwards companion book, "Chessbase Complete: Chess in the Digital Aid". It is indispensable as a guide for using this software.

Very nice case!

First, I ordered the case on February 1, they shipped it out on February 4, and I received it today, February 19, even though the expected delivery date was listed as March 1-March 14. So it arrived 2-3 weeks sooner than expected. Its coming from Europe. Now. This is a very nicely made case. It is genuine denim, the dark blue kind, and the lining is a nice gray color of an unidentifiable but very pleasant feeling fabric. The accents are a nice brown leatherish material. Not sure if its PU leather but it goes nicely with the denim. The outside, as pictured, has two pockets, one zippered and about 6 inches deep, as it goes down behind the front, open pocket, which is about 4 inches deep. The zipper seems to be of durable quality. The stitching is of brown thread, and very even and nicely done. There are holes with metal eyelets for the speaker and the camera. They line up nicely and the overall look of the case is a very casual "dress jeans and nice shirt" kind of thing. I really love it. The device slips in from the side closest to the spine, and there is a tab with velcro that slips under the device to hold it firmly in place. The three strips provide nice angles for viewing in landscape. The case closes using only magnets, which activate the wake/sleep function perfectly and consistently. The magnets hold it closed securely. The front and back are padded, and the corners of the case extend a bit past the edge of the frame that holds the device. So I really feel it could take a fall of a short distance such as would be common at home or in the office. I wouldn't want to drop ANY case from great heights, but for daily use, this should do quite nicely! The case isn't bulky, either, and doesn't add much weight, as cases go. If you are looking for a nice, casual, seriously denim kind of case, this one doesn't disappoint. It was worth the wait.
