Got it to cut the cable
We had been looking to get rid of one of our cable boxes for years but never saw a good enough replacement. With the cable company notifying us of yet another cost increase on the cable box rental, we knew we had to get rid of a box. Before purchasing, I did research on what channels we could receive and which we couldn't receive. Always double check your antenna range and the stations nearby before purchasing. We could live without a few of the local channels but if that's a must for you, then you may need to reconsider. The antenna is well built and has very good quality. Just read the directions - they're very good! That is immediately evident as you unpack the product from its box. With TV antennas it's just as important to know what not to do, and the directions are very clear. I used our existing cable TV cable, cutting it off where it comes in from the street. I used the proper tool to put a new connector on the cut wire, and connected it to the antenna. Before powering on, had to go into the attic and remove the splitter, and had to remove another splitter in the den. When this was complete, powered it on and everything worked perfect. I used a simple app that told me which direction the antenna needed to be pointed in, and already had the antenna pointing in that direction. Before we made the switch we had a football party at the house. In about 3 minutes it searched and found 72 channels. The Picture was as clear as our TV in the house on cable and the antenna was sitting in a chair about 3 feet off the ground. WOW. I cut the cable and hooked up an Amazon Recast and I can record live over the air TV channels, watch them anywhere on any device on my new Amazon Fire Cube, and tell my TV to turn on, tell it to find what ever movie I want and play it. Life is good and I'm saving $119 a month.

Really surprised!
Really surprised! Going from an indoor HDTV antenna to this was incredible. I went from 14 channels at best, to 34-51 depending in which direction it was turned. I don’t know about the 150 mile range, because of my elevation, but the range is very good. Easy to put together and install. Didn’t have a pole, but I already had one. I live in rural, and this is great for me since I don’t watch much TV, but like my sports and news. I have Sirius/XM, which is what I listen to mostly. Regardless, it’s worth the money if you want to get off satellite or cable TV. Try it, and be surprised. For the money, what do you have to lose?

Great little antenna!
Great little antenna! We made the cut from cable and went to a Rook we love it however getting local channels for the news was darn near impossible. We searched for many antennas bought a cheap one that stuck to the inside of the window which on a cloudy day barely picked up any channels. Took a gamble on this one that had good reviews and struck gold. We live out in the country and there are quite a few trees around us this antenna picks up 44 channels and are usually pretty clear if there is an issue we just hit the button and rotated a little and it clears up. Would definitely buy another one and have had the family members already by for more.

Very good
So we received our antenna fast, was tired of no TV. Put it up on the west peak of our house ran the coaxial cable to the control box one piece no splices as the instructions indicated. I have two TV's in two different rooms, so I determined what cables to hook to with my DVOM and a long drop cord on the OHM'S setting, there were so many cables this was the fastest way to find the correct coaxial cables. One thing that I really didn't think about before I installed was you can turn the antenna two ways. The red button on the control box and the remote it would be best to install, the setup in such a way that you can view your TV the control box and he antenna all at the same time, so pointing towards different tower would be easy, but yes it works amazing I am surprised how many stations we now get and the picture is as good as any dish or cable provider, seems better on a lot of stations!!

It's worked really well
It's worked really well. I live in a 4th floor apartment that faces another 5 story building. There is also a tall metal utility transformer nearby. My window does not face in the direction of the signals, and I'm in town where there are a number of hills, but I am within a few miles of the major TV station signals. I plugged it in and held it up to the window and also on wall, scanned channels and it brought in over 40 channels. I have the amplifier in the off position. Reception is clear. One thing we've noticed is when a plane/helicopter fly overhead, there is some minor pixilation that lasts for a few seconds and then goes away. Some of the farther channels are very pixilated, but they are not channels we would probably watch. I'm picking up all the major broadcasters except one, but it's in a very different direction than most of the others. My only wish is that instead of including such permanent black stick pads, they would include 'removable' style sticky strips like 3M brand so there is less damage to walls!

Thanks for a great product
Recently ordered an ultra-thin HDTV antenna for my mom because she said she started having problems picking up certain channels with her rabbit ear antennas she was using. When I received the HDTV antenna I was surprised at how thin and flexible it was and immediately had the feeling that the Amazon positive online reviews must have been misleading because there was no way this thing was going to work well. I hooked it up first without the amplifier attached and ran a scan for over the air channels. I was pleasantly surprised that I easily picked up 40 channels and the strength was quite good on the majority of them. I then added the amplifier and that successfully boosted the strength on the weaker channels. I was impressed and now my mom is asking why we are paying for cable if we good get 40 channels for free over the air. I guess we may be breaking the cable connection now also. And my mom was thrilled that now she could pick up the channels she was having trouble with. Thanks for a great product.

Great Product
Purchased this antenna to use in my town area. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews but decided I'd give it a try anyway. I went ahead and did the initial setup without the amplifier connected and immediately picked up 24 channels. I moved the antenna to a window pointing southward, plugged in the amplifier and to my surprise I began receiving 51 channels! Some of the channels did not have a clear signal but all the locals I care about; ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CW were all crystal clear. Today, I moved the antenna higher on my window and from behind the bug mesh and did a rescan; now I'm getting 71 channels and they are all clear! I'm watching WLRN (PBS) in 1080i, more beautiful than anything cable has to offer. I wished the cable was a little longer but probably more shielded so that my cable run could be a little bit neater based on where my TV is mounted. I won't knock the product for this because it doesn't really affect what it does and if my house was built differently; like I'm sure some other person's is, this wouldn't even be a thing. All in all I'm very pleased and so far I love this product. I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking to get an indoor antenna.

It works great
It works great. I installed the antenna in my attic and I am able to pick up about 40 channels from about 60-100 miles away, which is great. I live in the country far from any big town or city so I knew getting heaps of channels was out of the question, but I got all the basic "local" channels which is what I was hoping for. There are a few web site that will show you where to point your antenna to get the best reception and I did that and the channels come in very clear. I suppose if I pointed it a different direction I could get a few more channels, but I just have it pointed at the biggest city near me and I get the channels that I wanted, so I'm happy.

Amazing Anteena
I will admit that I had doubts about the ability of this anteena. Much to my supprise the reception is amazing! The closest major city is 67 miles from my home. The next city is 98 miles. I recieve a total of 47 chanels, and they are clear, sharp with good color. This is possably the best anteena I have ever owned..
