Spanish Rice and more...

I use it mainly if not only for making my rice but occasionally I like to make sauces, meatballs and other dishes in it. Trust me though. It's best used for Spanish rice, rice and beans etc. I had a smaller one and made a small batch of meatballs with it...MY BAD...I got sidetracked and forgot all about them and it burnt the bottom of the pan. i was so upset that I not only ruined the meatballs but I ruined the pan. These pans are expensive at the spanish store and when i saw Caldero being sold on Amazon, I was ecstatic and bought this 11qt one. MY GOD when i saw the size of it I couldn't believe it...and to think I was going to get a 26qt!! That thing would have been the size of my stove!! When I showed my daughter she said she was jealous. We laughed about it. Of course she knows she will be using it during cookouts. So yes I recommend this Caldero.

Great pot

If you get it for the right price this pot is well worth the money. My wife uses this every time she makes rice for just us two. if making for more than 2-3 people this pot will not be enough. The coating inside the pot came off very slightly from washing and cooking, but has in no way affected the use of the pot. It has lasted me for years and I would buy again. It does not have a non stick coating so if food gets over cooked it will stick to the inside of the pot.

I have had this pot for over a year and am very happy with it. It is my work horse in the kitchen. I had a LaCruset dutch oven that went bad (the enamel chipped) and did not want to pay a huge amount of money for something that I had to replace so quickly. This IMUSA pot is perfect for all the stews and chillis and rice dishes. The size is very good. I can easily fit 4lbs of ground meat for chilli with room for more.

You will be surprised at its size.

The minute I took out the pot out from the box, my son asked when his grandmother would be here from Puerto Rico to make him soup using this huge pot. Well, his grandmother finally arrived for vacation and made the soup. My mother loved using it. It's also perfect for making stewed chicken with potatoes.

Love this size since its easy to take to the lake and cook in smaller batches while retaining the heat. Its a pot that can tolerate great uses and different elements be it, gas, electricity, charcoal, the grill or an oven. I will ALWAYS use this pot.

Awesome pot

This pot is unique and has to be treated as such. The handles get hot so you have to touch with a rag or mit, the pot came looking a little dirty but once i washed it and coated with olive oil it worked fine, it has made perfect rice and other stews, you would think that because of the material food would get stuck or burn but it doesnt. Heats up fast and works best on low-medium heat. i do wash it with a regular sponge but every couple of uses after it starts to look dark i will wash with Brillo pads and it is left shinny again.
