• 1 teaspoon per gallon prior to fermentation beginning
  • Improves attenuation and speed of fermentation

So the main ingredient in this is urea, which is another word for pee.. yes, it sounds gross, but it's definitely does not hurt my mash. The other ingredient is basically ferrtilizer. My mash usually does ok on its own, and adding nutrient to it doesn't seem to make it perform any worst, so I would assume it works because the added urea + fertilizer contains nearly all the necessary elements for life - nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and phosphate. It does not make the mash taste or smell like pee.

This works great. The yeast really go wild when I use it. Speeds the fermentation and ensures that all of the sugar and grains are utilized. Great product.

I used to use the recommended 1 teaspoon per gallon until I decided I would try using a little more on a 2.5 liter bottle of strawberry soda and a gallon of basic sugar wine to test the products quality. I used 3 teaspoons on the soda and 5 teaspoons on the sugar wine and I was shocked when I came back in less than an hour to see both bottles already fermenting! They were producing a bubble in the airlock every second for 3 days. Needless to say, I highly reccomend this product to any home brewer and I will continue to purchase this product. Thank you fermax for making an inexpensive, top quality product.

I was using raisins for my fermentation process beforehand but man do the yeast love this stuff what took over a week for good bubbling to take place now took just a few hours. Only draw back is it smells like my kids dirty socks and is off putting when you think about it but that smell dissipates and is no worse than the hydrogen sulfide smell from the fermentation process.

I've used this yeast nutrient three times now , each result was perfect. One table spoon per gallon. If you don't have a lot of room to mix this in your bucket for a recharge, I'd suggest putting your brew in the tub and then mix this in. It goes all Elementary School volcano project. FOOSH!! Lol I'm very happy with this stuff and highly recommend.

When used as prescribed, this allows faster runs and higher alcohol content when enough food is present in your brew. It settles to the bottom rapidly, so I would suggest adding 1/2 at the beginning of your run, and the other half within 48 hours. This produced better quality brew with no ill side effects. Watch the temperatures on the first two to three days especially when using higher gravity brew. Heating was increased a few degrees using this product compared to not. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who makes their own home brew.

The ingredients are the standard for yeast nutrient, supplying nitrogen and phosphorus in bio-available form. This was the best price/quantity around. Works for both brewing and breadmaking. Ever look at the ingredients list on store-bought bread? Big manufacturers use this, too.

Just a little teaspoon makes a day 5 fermentation look like day 2 again, no lingering flavor by any means, works every time, will be a repeat customer, would strongly recommend it

This nutrient works amazing. The dough does not have any funny taste or odd smell. Actually, it smells exactly as I remember pizza dough smelt like at the corner pizzeria where I grew up. Which made me even more excited to make other things. I made pizza, calzones, and chicken rolls. Tasty. Nice quality crunchy thin crust pizza. Rolls and stretches out easily and without a lot of tearing. Love it!!
