LOVE this blanket!

After reading other reviews on weighted blankets, I decided to go with Luna. (I have bought two now, one as a gift) I love that the material is organic cotton, and the beads are not made of plastic. Thr material is cotton so it is light but strong. I have used this blanket for 3 or so months now. Having battled insomnia, restless legs, joint pain, and muscle pain, I had read that a weighted blanket could help. Honestly, I hardly have sleepless nights now. The blanket isn't too heavy but just heavy enough. I did get the 15lb , technically too heavy for my weight according to studies, but I love my blanket!! Before I had this blanket there were many nights I was awake until 3 am due to insomnia and pain. Now, usually within a half hour of winding down, I am alseep! It calms my restless legs , and really lessens muscle and joint pain! Blanket is sturdy, holding up well. Totally worth the money.

Provides the best natural sleep & half the price of the Gravity Blanket!

Excuse the mess in my room from the photo, but this is a great weighted blanket! I was thinking about buying the gravity blanket, but I saw this one was half the price and I have no regrets. The material of the blanket is very soft and comfortable. The weight distributes evenly and you really don’t move when you sleep. The only time I had trouble sleeping with this was when I forgot to turn the AC on- but that’s true with any blanket. I’ve taken sleep medication before and woken up foggy, but with this I fall asleep fast, stay asleep and wake up refreshed! An added bonus is the packaging the blanket comes in can be reused to store the other blankets and comforters you’re no longer using after purchasing this one. It can easily fit inside a full or queen duvet cover, but I haven’t used one yet because I’ve enjoyed the soft grayish color it has.

the best investment you’ll make.

i stalked my delivery man for hours before this came, it came very fast. as soon as i got it i ripped open the package and brought it straight to my room. oh my GOD is this blanket amazing. i got the 20 pound one it feels like i’m being swaddled like the perfect baby i am hehe. i have bad anxiety and i can never sleep. as soon as i got it i took a long nap and woke up hours later. i never even napped after finals in college, this knocked me right out. i will say it’s not very cooling, however i am always hot even if i sleep with no blanket at all. i highly recommend this blanket. i have looked at like 70 of them before getting this one. my bed is a full and it fit perfectly. even my dog approves!!! :)

Finally a good nights sleep!

I was really excited to find a weighted blanket to help with my sleep and anxiety. Before Luna I tried several blankets - Somnos and Serenity Engineered, looking for a blanket that had a easy cover system that was secure, closest to white in color to match my bedding and had good pressure but wouldn’t cause overheating. Serenity’s zipper system was unattractive in person and the blanket didn’t provide enough pressure. Somnos was white but the blanket was thick, noisy when moving, didn’t stay put and I was overheating. Luna has met all my criteria with a light grey color, comfortable weight and while it does make some noise if you move it, I find I don’t move under this blanket and therefore it’s not a factor. Thanks Luna for a great product !

I really love this weighted blanket

Very pleased with this blanket. It came nicely packaged. It was advertised as organic cotton -- tag on blanket just says 100 % cotton. But I don't really care, it's very soft and cool to the touch. The glass beads do just drift to side or corner because there is nothing holding them, and no stitching to keep them "in place" but this isn't a problem for me. The material is pretty thin and see through when you hold it up to light. I don't think there's any poly fill, which I'm glad about, because it'd just make me hotter. The blanket is very large, able to cover the surface of a queen size bed. A little ackward lugging it from the bedroom to living room. I would anticipate bead leakage if it were jostled around too much. For me, it's mostly on my bed. I got the 15 lb blanket. I weigh 135 lbs and sleep very hot. I was worried about overheating. However, I've found I like to fold it in half to sleep under. I find the heavier weight is wonderful. I poke my feet out if I get too warm and that keeps me regulated. It is a bit of a challenge to change positions under that weight, but once I do, I easily relax. I think it helps me have deeper sleep. I dream more now. I'm a newcomer to the weighted blanket. I just stumbled upon the item while searching for bamboo and alpaca duvets. The concept sounded intriguing. This blanket came before my other expensive bedding and now I don't know what to choose to sleep with! Been using the weighted blanket for about a month so far, haven't tired of it yet. When the bamboo duvet cover arrives, I'm wondering about having that next to me for softness and temp control and the weighted blanket over it? Not sure if it will damage the bamboo fibers?? Anyway, I've been pleasantly surprised by this blanket.

Delightfully heavy, yet not too warm

First impressions: delightfully heavy! I love the feeling of a heavy blanket pressing down on me. This is my first weighted blanket, 20 pounds, whereas I was previously enjoying a handmade 5-pound blanket. It is a tad warm but not warmer than my previous blanket. The glass beads are slightly bigger than sand, but are only noticeable if you feel around searching for them. I will update in a few weeks if anything changes. For now, I am going to enjoy this wonderfully heavy blanket!

Quality blanket is sure to help disorders

I’m so excited to have this blanket! I purchased a weighted blanket from a different company first for double the cost and it was TERRIBLE. The quality was crap, the weight was wrong, and the pockets of beads and stuffing were so poorly made that it irritated my sensory processing disorder. The Luna blanket is superior quality materials and durable stitching. The weight pockets were distributed evenly without any ackward lumps or empty spots. The weight itself was subtle, even at 20lbs, so I prefer to double the blanket for myself. Would 10/10 recommend.

Comforting

So far I am happy with my blanket and would recommend purchase. I have used the blanket for a week and selected the larger sized 15lb blanket because the heavier one was not available. My input on my purchase--- Outer cover--It is a light gray color. It DOES NOT come with a duvet cover. However, There is a "coupon " inside the packaging offering a free duvet to send for. I have not yet done that. I did not see anything confirming the material it was made with is organic. If it is a must for you to know it is organic, don't purchase this item or contact the sellers for further verification. The tag says made in China. It appears to be well made. I have not laundered it. There was no smell and the blanket appeared clean/new. Weight--At first, I thought the blanket too light. However, after using it for a week, I think a higher weight would have too heavy. I am a190lb female. The blanket covers me from head to toe w plenty of extra on the sides to turn and move. I don't have it on a traditional bed, but would say the larger size covers the TOP of a full sized bed, maybe a queen. If you are sleeping w a partner, you definitely need the larger size and it probably will not cover you both fully, unless you are very close. The beads inside are very small, similar to sand. Heat- I find the blanket holds in heat and I sometimes get too hot. That said, you can modify what you place on top of the blanket (your comforter, blankets, etc) and/or what you wear to bed, to find a comfort level that works for you. I don't find this a reason not to try the blanket and I am a very warm natured person. Sleep quality- I can't say that this blanket has dramatically helped my quality of sleep but I do find it comforting lying under the weightiness of it. Other comments-- I would keep this off my feet if I slept on my back as I would be concerned that the weight over time, pushing down on your feet might not be a great idea. Also, I have a hip issue and am a side sleeper and wonder if, on my non-traditional bed, it doesn't sometimes aggravate my condition. If you have a soft mattress, I think this would be less likely to be a problem (I am on futon). Hope these comments are helpful in making a decision on the Luna weighted blanket. Update-- Very good customer service. I was unable to get through to the company via their website to request my free duvet cover. I sent them an email and they responded within a day that their site was down and they would go ahead and send the cover. I received the duvet cover a few days later. It is a light gray and matches the blanket.

High quality and soft! Helps me sleep better

The 60 x 80 inch perfectly fits the top of my queen sized bed. I got the 15lb which is about 10% of my body weight. It isn't too heavy, but feels much more snug and comfy than with a regular blanket. I also bought a cheaper $65 weighted blanket to see if there was any difference. The Luna has a softer fabric, and doesn't makes as much noise when moving around. It also didn't have any strange smells out of the packaging unlike the cheaper one. The packaging is also a lot nicer. However, both blankets do the job. My sleeps have been a lot deeper, and I wake up feeling more refreshed. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

Why did I wait so long?

Ever since hearing about weighted blankets a year or so ago, my husband has been wanting to try one. He doesn't sleep as well as he used to and has already tried several mattresses. The only problem was that he doesn't like ordering that kind of thing online, he wants to see and feel it first. I did some research and decided on luna because of the reviews, color, size, weight, reasonable price, and because they stand behind their product w a great return policy. He absolutely loves it! The only complaint he had, was not getting it sooner.
