I love this swing so much. It is PERFECT for my home office. I have purchased more as gifts because my friends and family loved it too.

Mounting materials needed

The chair is exactly what my daughter was looking for to hang in her room. Unfortunately we have not been able to hang it up because We only received on of the hooks we ordered with this item from Amazon. In addition we did not realize that we had to also purchase some additional rope to extend the chair low enough from her ceiling. This seems obvious now but when she ordered it we did not put two and two together. So some more obvious guidelines on how to mount and what else we should consider purchasing to get everything at once could be very helpful to others. I will update the review after we get it mounted and she can start using it.

The Good & the Bad

My granddaughters love, love, love these chairs. I saw a storm brewing on Christmas morning if i only bought one and decided to get one for each sister. They are nuts about these chairs! Built well, nice decor for their rooms, very comfortable. The Bad: The installation is a bit of work. Hardware is anchored to stud in ceiling to make them safe and holds up to 250lbs. Worth the trouble when you see what a hit these make for the recipients, any gender, any age, indoors or out.

I have been looking for a long time for a set of chairs for my children’s play area and finally I found these through amazon prime!!! I was being very picky ordering online because 1 I live in Alaska and once you order returning can be a pain so I wanted something good! And also you just don’t know what your going to get when you order online, well these have exceeded my expectations! They are very comfy, can fit me and my two younger children comfortably, the kids love them, we are all around very happy and satisfied with the product!!

Nice chair, hard to hang properly.

Great item. This is a very good hanging chair. I was going to buy a swingasan from Pier 1 that was much more expensive. The only problem with those are they are very large and after taking the measurements it would not work unless you had really high ceilings. This is perfect for hanging in a room without taking up too much space. Hanging it was not fun. First you will have to buy hanging hard ware and a rope. I bought this rope https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CAGUHH2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this hanging item https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07349ZS7C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The real difficulty is finding a good spot to suspend it from the ceiling. Odds are you will not have a beam in the exact spot you want to hang it. This is where the real problem comes. First I found the spot in the ceiling where I wanted to hang it. I then drilled a small hole and saw it was not the location of a beam. I then inserted a wire hanger into the hole. I then had to get into my attic to locate the spot I wanted to hang it. This happened to be between two beams. I then cut a piece of 2x6 to fit between the beams in this spot. I used a rafter hanger to give extra support and to make sure I did not stress the drywall. Based on how your attic is, this is a very dangerous venture. You will most likely be in a narrow corner of you attic. It is very hot and you risk falling through the ceiling if you are not careful. I would not recommend doing this unless you are very comfortable doing it. After that it was very easy to hang. The hook kit I had did not have good screws and they stripped. I used deck mate screws instead that went right in. It is very sturdy and the chair looks really nice. However unless you are very mechanically inclined it would be hard to do without professional help.

This Hammock Chair Macramé Swing is a fun addition to our child's room

This Hammock Chair Macramé Swing is a fun addition to our child's room. The swing was delivered quickly and we have since had no issues with the Macramé shedding or falling apart. To sit in it, the back hoop can be uncomfortable and there is no lower back support, but with a few throw pillows, that issue is solved. (I am 5' 6" and when I sit in it the back hoop is at the base of my head.) It adds a bit of whimsy which we love. Dimensions: seat diameter = 25" from base of seat to where the back hoops sits at it's highest = 21"

Go for it. These are great quality.

I bought one of these ... and then bought two more. I have these hanging in my living room, and they are perfect. You can hang them from a single hook or from two separate hooks. There are two rings. I have each swing hanging from a single hook (you just put both rings over the same one). The quality is fantastic. and the price was great. Maybe just promotional pricing since it's a new product, but I'm pretty sure this is the same quality as the swings that cost almost double the price. Go for it. You won't regret it. These are great.
